10030 Internet Gateway Software Update

SOFTWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS I SOFTWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

Internet Gateway software can be updated by loading the
appropriate software file onto a USB memory stick and
following the following instructions.
 Determine your existing Internet Gateway software software
a. On your Connect 10 Touchscreen, go to the Menu page and press the “?”
button.
b. Press the “Connected Devices” button and a list of your pool equipment will be
displayed.
c. Take note of the Internet Gateway Version number.
 Visit https://www.astralpool.com.au/connect10 and navigate to the “Firmware
Update” page.
a. All Version 1& 2 Internet Gateways can be updated to Version 2.4
b. Version 3 Internet Gateways can be updated to Version 3.2
c. For Version 4 Internet Gateways refer to the above website for the latest
revision.
 Using your PC, download the appropriate file from the website to a USB memory
stick.
On windows PC’s the file will generally be downloaded into your “Downloads
Folder”. To access the firmware, press on the arrow on the bottom menu button
and then press “Show in folder”. The downloaded file (inetgate.enc or
inetgate.en2 file) can then be dragged onto your Memory stick.
THIS FILE MUST BE IN THE ROOT OF THE MEMORY STICK (NOT
IN A FOLDER) AND CAN’T BE RENAMED
The following sketch shows the layout of the base of the Internet Gateway

1. Remove the RJ12 cable from the base of the Internet Gateway (“RJ12 to Pool
System”). This cable has a latch on the underside of it that needs to be
compressed to allow the cable to be removed.
2. Insert the USB Memory stick into the Internet Gateway USB connector
3. Plug the RJ12 cable back into the RJ12 connector (Thus supplying power to the
Internet Gateway)
4. Wait for the 3 green LED’s to stop bouncing from side to side.
5. Once the “Alive” LED resumes its normal once per second flash, the update is
complete
6. Unplug the USB Memory stick
