T100 Device encryption rework SOP
•If user calls in for this issue (see last page for user scenarior), please
guide user get through page 3 to 5 to disable security boot.
•Please provide Liveupdate “functional Improvement” to user and
guide them run this tool.
•Please help ensure user’s device “Device encryption” is disabled.
•If user walk in L2. Please help guide user get through all the steps
•Besides, please help back up user’s data and update eMMC FW to 2.4.
•Run “functional Improvement” tool
•Enable device encryption.
•Please use following tool and SOP to update FW and check FW
version (SOP and TOOL will be attached)
Rework SOP
•Enter BIOS
Rework SOP
•disable security boot
Rework SOP
•Save, exit, and enter into OS
Rework SOP
•After into OS, you will see 2 different scenarios,
1. If device goes straight into OS
-> please go to page 7 and follow the steps
2. If Bitlocker windows shows up (which means encryption finished)
-> please go to page 8 and follow the steps
Rework SOP
•please help back up user’s data (this step could be skipped if 2.4.1
released)
•Update user’s device to Sandisk FW 2.4 and run “functional
Improvement” tool
•Repeat page 3 to 5 steps to enable Security boot
•Enter OS
•Check if device encryption turn on
•On -> rework done
•Off -> please turn on device encryption for user
Rework SOP
•Please guide user Go to following link to get recovery key
•2nd device needed

•Click option 2
