The LPD requires an oil flow of 20-30 l.p.m. and then
works at a pressure of 105-125 bar. For connection see
the section Connection to hydraulic power source!

Disconnecting the post driver
1 I so la te the h y d rau li c su pp l y.
2 Disconnect the hoses by pulling up the knurled
locking rings and pulling up the couplings. Fit blanking
caps to the hoses.
Hydraulic hoses
For connecting the post driver the hydraulic hose shall
be approved for a working pressure of at least 140 bar
and have a ½” inner diameter. To resist exterior wear
and tear we recommend using a 2-layer hydraulic hose.
TheconnectiononthepostdrivermarkedwithaP
(pump) is the entry point for oil, and that marked with a
T (tank) is the exit point.
Quick release couplings
In the original, hydraulic hoses are fitted with
Flat-Face quick release couplings.
This kind of quick release coupling is stronger and
easier to clean. The quick release couplings are
fitted so that the male connection supplies the oil and
the female connection receives the oil.
Quick release couplings shall be approved for a
minimum 140 bar working pressure.
Changing accessories
•
Assembling the post driver with
adaptors.
1. Chose a suitable adaptor (see the accessories)
for the post.
2. Remove the nuts from the bottom plate.
3. Fix the adaptor to the driver by the fasteners.

WARNING
Hydraulic oil at pressure can inj ure you. Follow
the instructions below for connecting the hoses.
CAUTION
Do not operate the LPD w ithout pressure
being applied e.g. Do not press the remote
control (RC) or trigger on the LPD in the air.
Such repeated action may result in damage
to the LPD. If the energy supply to the LPD is
interrupted, release the trigger (RC)
immediately to prevent damage.
WARNING
Always isolate the post driver from the pow er
source when changing accessories.
WARNING
Nev er rest the post or the adaptor in a driver on
your foot or against your body.
WARNING
Never lean a
ains t the
ost driver in order not to
loose foothold, if the rod should break by accident, or
if the pile suddenlysinks.

WARNING
Please read the maintenance instructions
carefully before using the hydraulic post
driv er for the first time.
When working in some materials
particles can fly. Make sure no one else is
w ithin the w ork area.
Use recommended protective clothing
and equipment to protect yourself from
flying particles.
Disconnect the hydraulic power
source before the post is replaced or
before the post driver is serviced.
Always use posts with suitable
adaptor for the post driver.
Posts that not fit w ell in adaptors during
driv ing can cause inj ury. Never use posts
tha t a re m uc h w or n or a re da m a ge d on
shafts.
Always w ear protectiv e goggles,
protectiv e footw ear and ear protectors
w hen using the post driver.
