twospeakeroutputs(stereo)meaningthattwospeakersshouldbeconnectedon
everyamplifiedoutput.Thespeakersmustbeconnectedinparallelandtheloadon
eachamplifieroutputchannelshouldbe4Ohmorhigher.
3) Connecting the external units
Theexternal(optional)wallvolumecontrollersandremotewallmixersshouldbe
connectedtothecorrespondingRJ45connectorports.Theconnectionsshould
bemadebyusingsimpleCAT5twistedpair(orbetter)cablinginastraightpinout
configuration.ThemaximumcablelengthbetweentheexternalunitsandtheAMP20
maynotexceedatotalcablelengthof100meters.
4) Connecting the power supply
Theincludedpowersupplyshouldbeconnectedtothe2-pinsEuroTerminalblock
connector.Watchthepolaritywhenconnectingthepowersupply.
Configuring the AMP20
1) Adjusting the input sensitivity & volume
TheconfigurationoftheAMP20onlyincludesthesensitivityadjustmentoftheinputs
andtheoverallvolumeregulation.Thesensitivityoftheinputscanberegulatedbythe
twopotentiometersonthefrontpaneloftheAMP20.Thecorrectregulationdepends
onthesignalleveloftheconnectedsourcesandtherequirementsforeachspecific
application.Theregulationshouldbedoneexperimentally,makingagoodbalance
betweenthemusicsignalfromtheaudiosourceandthespeechfromthemicrophone.
Thelineandmicrophonelevelsignalcomingfromtheremotewallmixerismixed
locallyandthebalancecanbesetusingbothpush-lockpotentiometers.Theoutput
levelcanbesetusingthebigvolumedial.Thissignalismixedwiththedirectlineand
microphoneinputsatequallevels.
Afterallsensitivitysettingshavebeenmade,theoverallvolumecontrolcanbedone
usingtheVC3008/4008volumecontroller.
