AudioCodes Huddle Room Solution (HRS)
Quick Setup Guide
1. Before Setup
Congratulations on purchasing the AudioCodes Huddle Room Solution! Make sure you received:
AC-HRS IP Phone
Power adapter (for the HRS phone)
Cat 5e Ethernet cable
Handset and handset cord
Desktop mounting stand
If you ordered UC-HRS-457: One 457 HRS speaker. If you ordered UC-HRS-457D: 2 HRS 457 speakers

3. Mounting the Phone on a Desktop
Desktop: Slide the L-shaped stand's short or long edge slots onto these rails.
4. Cabling the Phone
Warning: Prior to connecting power, refer to the Compliancy and Regulatory Information
document at www.audiocodes.com/library.
To cable the phone: See the illustration and instructions below.
1. Connect the phone cord's short, straight end to the handset.
2. Connect the phone cord's longer, straight end to the phone's handset jack.
3. Connect the phone's RJ-45 LAN port to the LAN network (LAN port or LAN switch/router) with a CAT
5 / 5e Ethernet cable.
4. Connect the phone's RJ-45 PC port to a computer with a CAT 5 / 5e straight-through Ethernet cable.
5. Connect the power cable's connector to the phone's DC 12V power port and connect the two-prong
adapter directly to the electrical wall outlet.

5. Connecting Speaker to Phone
[See previous page] Connect speaker 1's USB cable to the phone's USB port 1.
6. Upgrading Firmware
To upgrade firmware if prompted:If, after connecting the speaker to the phone, you're prompted to
upgrade the speaker firmware, touch the Yes softkey; progress is indicated; the idle screen opens.
Note: If the update is interrupted, the 457 speaker will not be usable. It will only exit 'upgrade
mode' and resume operational mode when the update is successfully completed.
7. Conferencing
To initiate a meeting: In the idle screen, touch Meet Now; you're prompted You are the only
participant in the conference. Touch Add, enter Donald's number and touch Dial; Donald answers.
Touch Add again to add another participant to the conference meeting, etc.
To mute all: [See below] Touch Mute All or touch Call Menu and then select Mute All.
To change a participant's privileges: [Attendee can only add participants | Host can do everything]
In the Conference screen, touch Call Menu and then Make Hilary attendee [see below left]
To mute a participant: [See below center] In the Conference screen, touch their unmuted icon; it
changes to muted.
To unmute them: [See below right] In the Conference screen, touch Call Menu and then select
Unmute Donald -or- in the Conference screen, touch their muted icon; it changes to unmuted.

Note: If another participant mutes you, you'll view in your screen A presenter has muted you.
If another participant unmutes you, you'll view A presenter wants you to unmute yourself.
Press the mute key on the phone, illuminated red, to unmute yourself.
To lock a conference: In the Conference screen, touch Call Menu and select Lock Conference.
To view conference info: In the Conference screen, touch Call Menu and select Conference Info.
8. Joining a Meeting through the Calendar Reminder
To join: [See below] In the integrated Exchange calendar reminder, click Join (or Snooze or Dismiss).
9. Operating the Speaker
To operate the speaker: The phone features the speaker's functionalities (volume down, volume up,
mute, answer call, end call, etc.) so you can operate the speaker from the phone. To operate the
speaker locally, use this figure as reference:
