YourAPS-750RemoteStartAlarmSystemhasmanyfeaturesandavailableoptionssomeof
whichareselectedattimeofinstallation. For your reference, the list onthebackpageofthis
manualshowwhat features andoptionshave been installed. Consultyourinstalling dealer
foroptionsthat may havebeeninstalled and arenot listed.
ARMINGTHE SYSTEM-ACTIVE:
1.Turn the engineoff, exit thevehicle, and closeall doors, hoodand trunk.
2.Pressandrelease the arm/disarm buttonofyour key chain transmitteronetime.
Theparking lightswill flash once, the siren will chirp once, and the dash mounted LED will
begin to flash slowly confirming the system is armed. If you have the optional door lock/
unlockcircuitinstalled, the doorswill lock.
Note:Ifthe siren chirpedthree times, thenyou have lefta door,hood, or trunkajar. Simply
closingthatopeningwill provide full protection. Ifthesiren did not soundwhenarming,then
thechirpshavebeenturnedoff. Refertothesectionon"EliminatingtheArm/DisarmChirps"
shownlaterin this manual.
SILENTARMING -ACTIVE:
1.Turn the engineoff, exit thevehicle, and closeall doors, hoodand trunk.
2.Press and hold the arm/disarmbutton of your key chaintransmitter for two seconds.
The parking lights will flash once, and the dash mounted LED will begin to flash slowly
confirmingthe system is armed. Thesiren will notchirp. If you havethe optional doorlock/
unlockcircuitinstalled, the doorswill lock.
Note: If the siren chirps three times, then you have left a door, hood, or trunk ajar. Simply
closingthatopening will providefullprotection.
ARMINGTHE SYSTEM -PASSIVE(AUTOMATIC)
Ifthe passive arming feature has been selected:
1.Turn the engineoff, exit thevehicle, and closeall doors, hoodand trunk.
Thedash mountedLEDwillbeginto flashrapidlyindicatingthatthe 30secondpassivearming
timerhas begun. If the LEDdoes not beginto flash rapidly,thenyou have lefta door, hood,
ortrunkajar. Closing thisentry point will allowthe arming cyclewillbegin. If any entrypoint
is opened during the 30 second arming cycle, arming will be suspended. When all entry
pointsareclosed, the armingcycle will begin again.
Attheendof the 30 seconds, Theparkinglights will flash once, thesirenwillchirp once, and
thedashmountedLED will begin to flashslowlyconfirming the system is armed. Ifthesiren
did not sound when arming, then the chirps have been turned off. Refer to the section on
"Eliminatingthe Arm/Disarm Chirps" shown later in this manual. Passive door locking is a
selectablefeature. Ifyou have theoptionaldoor lock/unlock circuitinstalled,the doors may
ormaynotlock passively dependent upon thesetupduring installation.
PROTECTIONWHILETHESYSTEMISARMED:
Opening any protected entry point, hood, trunk, or doors will cause the alarm to trigger
immediately. Thesirenwill sound andthe parkinglightswill flashfor 30 seconds,then stop
andcontinuetomonitorall protected entry points. If the thief left thedooropened,theunitwill

soundfor six 30 second cycles than shut down, isolate the triggeredzone and continue to
protectall other zones.
Wheneverthe systemis armed,the dash mounted LED will slowly flash. This serves as a
visualdeterrentto a potential thief. This LEDisaverylowcurrentlightemittingdiode,andwill
notcause the battery to draineven if left unattended forlong periods of time.
Whenever the system is triggered, the vehicle parking lights will flash for the full siren
soundingperiod. Optional - wheneverthe system istriggered, the interior courtesylight will
flashfor the full siren sounding period.
Wheneverthe system isarmed, the vehiclestarter circuit isdisabled, even withthe ignition
keythe vehicle will not start.
Whenever the system is armed, any strong impact to the vehicle will cause the shock
detectortotrigger the alarm. Any lesserimpact will cause thepre-detect stage of theshock
sensor to emit a few short series of warning tones from the siren.
DISARMINGTHESYSTEM
Asyou approach the vehicle, pressand release the ARM/DISARM buttonon the keychain
transmitter.
Theparking lights will flashtwo times, thesiren will chirptwice, and dashmounted LED will
turn off.
Ifyouhavethe optional door lock/unlock circuit installed, the doors willunlock.Ifyouhavethe
optionalentryilluminationcircuit installed, the interiorlightwillturn on for 30secondsoruntil
theignition key isswitched on.
Note: Ifthepassive arming mode wasselectedattimeofinstallation,thedashmountedLED
will start flashing rapidly indicating that the system is rearming. Opening any door will
suspendtheautomatic arming.
Iftheparkinglightsflashedthreetimes,andthesiren chirps four times, this indicates thatthe
alarmsystem hadbeentriggeredinyour absence. Beforeturningontheignitionkey,examine
thedashmounted LED's flash pattern. Thenumber of flashes identifiesthetriggered zone.

If the siren did not sound upon disarm, then the chirps have been turned off. Refer to the
sectiontitledELIMINATINGTHEARM/DISARMCHIRPS.

interiorlight will turn on for 30 seconds or untilthe ignitionkey is switched on.
Note: Ifthepassive arming mode wasselectedattimeofinstallation,thedashmountedLED
will start flashing rapidly indicating that the system is rearming. Opening any door will
suspendtheautomatic arming.
Iftheparkinglightsflashedthreetimes,andthesiren chirps four times, this indicates thatthe

INTRUSIONWARNINGSIGNAL
This systemwill inform youif an intrusion attempt hasoccurred while you were awayfrom
thevehicle. Upondisarm,thesirenwill chirp 4 times andtheparkinglightswillflash 3 times.
Enterthevehicle and beforeturning on theignition switch, observe theLED flash pattern.
If the LED flashes one time...pause, one time...pause etc., then an intrusion attempt was
madebyimpact or astrong vibration that theshock sensor detected. Check thevehicle for
possibledamageto the glass orbodypanels.
Ifthe LED flashestwo times...pause, twotimes...pause etc., thenan intrusion attemptwas
madeto open the hood, trunk,or byan accessory triggering device. Check thevehicle for
indicationsof forced entry to theseopenings.
Ifthe LED flashesthreetimes...pause,threetimes...pauseetc.,then anintrusionattemptwas
madeto the vehicle doors. Check all doors forindications of forced entry.
Note: TheLEDintrusion warning indicationsarestored in thesystem'smemory and willbe
erasedwhen theignition switchis turned on.
VALET/SYSTEMOVERRIDESWITCH
Thevaletswitch allows youtotemporarily by-pass allalarmfunctions, eliminating theneed
to hand your keychain transmitter to parking attendants or garage mechanics. When the
system is in the valet mode, all alarm functions are by-passed, however the remote panic
feature,andtheoptional remote door lock/unlockwillremain operational. Toenter the valet
mode:
1. Start with the valet switch in the "off" position
2.Turn the ignition switchto the "on"position.
3.Within 10seconds ofstep 2,flip thevalet switchto the"on" position.
Thedashmounted LEDwillturnonsolidindicatingthatthe valet modehassuccessfullybeen
entered.
To return tothe normal, (alarmmode), operation, movethe valet switchto the "off"position
anytimethe ignition switchis in the onposition.
Note: Intheevent that youlose your keychaintransmitteror the transmitterfails to operate
thealarmsystem, the valetswitch can be usedto disarm thealarm. To disarm thealarm:
1.Open the door with the vehicle door key. (The siren will sound)
2.Turn the ignition switchto the onposition.
3.Flip the valet/overrideswitch to theon position.
Thesystemwill disarm and thevehiclecan be operated normally.
Alwaysrememberto move thevaletswitch to theoff position to ensurethe vehicle remains
protectedatalltimes.
ELIMINATINGTHE NORMAL ARM/DISARMCHIRPS
You canselectivelyeliminatethenormalarm &disarmchirpsbyholdingthetransmitterbutton
slightlylongerwhen arming anddisarming. Thiswill prevent thesirenchirps for onearmor
disarmcycle. If you find thisinconvenient and wishto eliminate thesechirpspermanently,

REMOTEPANICOPERATION
The arm/disarm button of your keychain transmitter also serves as a panic switch and will
turn the alarm on from the maximum operating range of the transmitter. In an emergency
situation, to use the panic feature, press and hold the arm/disarm button of your keychain
transmitter for 3 seconds. This will cause the lights to flash, the siren to sound, and if the
optionalinteriorilluminationcircuit was installed, theinteriorlightwill flash.
To disengage the panicfeature,pressand release the arm/disarm button one time. If you do
not shut off the panic feature, the system will time out and shut off automatically after 30
seconds.
Duringthismode,allnormaltransmitterfunctionsareoperational.
SAFETY(Red Handled ) CONTROL SWITCH
Thecontrolswitchallowsyou to temporarily disable the remote starting function ofyourAPS-
750. To disable theunit, move the red handledcontrol switch to the offposition.
The control switch also allows you to select between 2 hour start up and 4 hour start up
whenusingtheautomaticstartuptimermode. The factory preset start up time forthismode
is every 4 hours. To select between 2 or 4 hour start up timer:
1.Begin with the control switch in the on position
2.Turn theignition switchon then off
3.Within 10 seconds, move the control switch off, on, off, on(2 switchcycles) toselect a 2
hourstarttimer.
Theparkinglightswill flash, and thesirenwillchirp 2 times confirmingthatthe two hour start
cycleis set. Or,within10 seconds move the controlswitch off,on,off,on,off,on, off, on (4
switch cycles) to select a 4 hour start timer. The parking lights will flash, and the siren will
chirp4 times confirming thatthe 4 hourstart timer isset.
REMOTESTARTINGTHEVEHICLE
TheAPS-750 WILL NOT startthe vehicle ifany one of thefollowing conditions exists:
1.TheVehicleHoodIsOpened.
2.TheGearSelectorIsIn Any Gear Other Then Park.
3.TheBrakeIsDepressed.
4.TheSafetyControlSwitch Is In TheOffPosition.

1. Start with the valet switch in the off position.
2.Turn theignition switchon thenoff.
3. Within 10 seconds of turning off the ignition, flip the valet switch on, off, on, off, on, off.
4.Ifthechirpswereonbeforeyoustarted, the siren will emit 2 shortchirpsindicatingthatthe
chirpsare now off. If the chirpswere off before you started,the siren will emit oneshort
chirpindicating that the chirps are now on.
