its battery fails. If your system has been selected for Valet Switch manual override as
indicatedonthelast page of this manual, to bypassthe alarmsystem;
1. Open the vehicledoor. Thealarmwillsound.
2. Turntheignitionkeytotheon position.
3. Within5seconds, press and release thePBLEDoverrideswitch.
Thealarmsystemwill stopsoundingandenterthe(bypassed)mode. Youcan nowstartand
operatethevehiclenormally.
Typically this overridemode is used onlyif the transmitter has becomeinoperative.
Programming Your Custom Override Code:
Unlike override switches easily found, and defeated, this security system allows the con-
sumer to program a personal override code, offering a higher level of security. To take
advantageofthisoption,programmable feature # 10 must beselectedfortheCustomCode
Option. Consultyourinstallationcenterforprogramming details.Thesystem comesfromthe
factorywithapre-programmedoverride code of 11.To change this defaultoverridecode,do
thefollowing:
1. Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the emergency override
sequence.Turntheignitionswitch to the on position.
2. Within10seconds,pressand release the PBLED switch, 3 times.
3. Within 10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on.
(Thesiren or horn willbeepandthe lights will flashonetime.)
4. Within10seconds,begintoenteryourchosen10thsdigitbypressingandreleasingthe
PBLEDswitchfrom1upto9times.
5. Within10seconds of thelastentered10ths digit, turn theignitionswitch off then on.
6. Within10seconds,begin to enter your chosen units digitby pressingand releasingthe
PBLEDswitchfrom1upto9times.
7. Finishbyturning the ignition switchtotheoffposition.
Ifthenew code was accepted,theunitwillreport back the newly enteredcode,byflashing
theLED,firstindicatingthe10thsdigit,pause and then the units digit. The unit willreportthe
new code three times with a one second pause between each code, then the system will
beginarming.IftheLEDflashpatternreportsthepreviouslystoredcode,thenewcodewas
notentered correctly. Please repeatsteps1 through 7 aboveconsideringthefollowing.
Note: Acceptabledigits10thsor units are1through9.Theunitwill not recognizea0(Zero),
ornodigit entered in anyplace, unitsortenths.
Note: If 15 seconds of inactivity expire, or if the ignition switch is turned off for more then
5 seconds during any of the above steps, the unit will revert back to the last
successfully stored code.
Custom Code Programming Example:
To Change the code from the factory pre-assigned code of 11 to “52” you would do the
following:
1. Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the emergency override
sequence.
2. Turntheignitionswitch to the on position.
3. Within10seconds,pressand release the PBLED switch, 3 times.
4. Within 10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off, on.
(Thesiren or horn willbeepandthe lights will flashonetime.)
5. Within10seconds,begintopress and release the PBLED switch to set thetenths digit.
(Asper the example, pressandrelease5 times to setthetenthsdigit to 5)
6. Within10secondsofthelastpressof the pushbutton, turntheignitionswitchoffthenon.
