You will need :
1. Graduated cylinder
2. WD 40 lubricant to kill the foam.
Calibrating the 2FM
The calibration procedure insures the accuracy of the measurements of the flow meter system. Each flow meter must be calibrated with the
product it is measuring. The flow meter should be re-calibrated if the product is changed. Calibrating 2FM requires that you to dispense a
measured amount of product at each faucet into a graduated cylinder. If you want to measure ounces, the amount required is 20 ounces. If you
want to measure litres, the amount will be one litre. With Auper flow meter for draft beer (model 50-316-C), you should get between 280 and 320
pulses for 20 ounces or 480 to 520 pulses for one litre depending on the type of beer. Keep in mind that both flow meters get calibrated at the
same time. If you over pour the target amount on one of the flow meters, it is all right. You will be able to redo it after.
Before you start, tell everyone NOT TO USE the beer taps while you calibrate.
1. Insert the two AAA batteries in the 2FM. Use alkaline batteries only.
2. Upon power up, you will be asked if you want to calibrate: Calib ?

•Spray some WD 40 into the graduated cylinder before you pour the beer. This lubricant will help kill the foam to speed up the
process. WD 40 will not work with Stouts and Cream Ales. You will need more patience to let the beer settle.
•You can close the faucet to let the foam settle as many times as needed while you serve into the graduated cylinder.
•If you calibrate to measure ounces: Pour and measure exactly 20 ounces of product at both faucets.
•If you calibrate to measure litres, pour exactly one litre at both faucets using a graduated cylinder.
The display will show the flow meter pulses on line 1. Line 2 is not displayed but is still being calibrated.
5. Press Line to calibrate the meters.
The display will show the result of the calibration for line 1 (ex: 20 oz /300 pulses = 0.066666 or 1 L /502 pulses = 0.001992). If you are not
satisfied with the accuracy of the amount served and wish to re-calibrate either one, or both meters:
oPress the Light button four times to get to the calibration screen of Line 2. CA 0000. (the dot identifies line 2)
oPress the Light button four more times to get to the calibration screen of Line 1. CA 0000
