What does the WIP20Sdo?
The WIP20S allows you to make calls through Skype without the need to buy
expensive equipment by allowing you to take any traditional land line phone
and turn it into a Skype phone.
How hard is it to install the software?
The software is very easy to install. Just follow the instructions that are
presented on the screen. For further assistance, look to the Instruction
Manual.
How do I use the WIP20S?
First, install the software and hook up the WIP20S with your phone. Then,
make sure you have Skype installed on your computer (available at
www.skype.com) and set up a Skype account. You can now make calls to
other Skype users for free and enjoy low call rates to anywhere in the world.
Iam going through the installation process and am having problems
with the telephone configuration. When I press the keys, they are not
being identified. What’s wrong?
Make sure the all of the connections have been made properly, as specified
in the Instruction Manual, found by right-clicking on the Auvi logo in the
system tray.
How does my phone communicate with Skype?
The WIP20S allows you to make SkypeOut calls by dialing numbers just as
you normally would. With the help of the Auvi Interface software, you can
also make calls to other Skype users by preprogramming the Skype user
names into the program and dialing them similar to the way you use speed
dial.
Will my phone ring when regular phone calls are coming in?
No. The WIP20S will only ring when Skype calls are incoming.
Can I make calls to regular phone numbers?
Yes, you can make calls to regular phone numbers, but you they will not be
free. You will need to sign up for a SkypeOut account, but even then the
rates are still incredibly low.
Do I need a special kind of phone to work with the WIP20S?
No. Any traditional phone, corded or cordless, can work with the WIP20S,
allowing you to convert your traditional phone into a Skype phone.

Skype is running but I do not hear a dial tone. What’s wrong?
Make sure the speaker levels are not muted and adjusted appropriately.
Confirm the Auvi Interface application is running. Also check to see that all
hardware connections are correct.
The person on the other end of the conversation cannot hear me.
Open up the mic sound level and make sure that the mic is not muted. If
you have multiple soundcards on your computer, make sure that the
soundcard selected is the correct one connected to the WIP20S.
I cannot hear anything when others speak.
If you are using external speakers, check to see if they are plugged in
correctly and/or turned on. Also check to see if the hardware is connected
correctly.
The Auvi Interface won’t run on my computer after the installation has
completed.
If this occurs, go to http://www.microsoft.com/download. Get and install the
latest version of the “.Net Framework Version 1.1”. Upon installation of this
update, the application will run correctly.
