5 YEAR WARRANTY
AvaTemp warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
period of 5 years, unless otherwise stated. This is the sole and exclusive warranty made by
AvaTemp covering your AvaTemp brand product. A claim under this warranty must be made
within 5 years from the date of purchase of the product. Only the product’s original purchaser
may make a claim under this warranty. AvaTemp reserves the right to approve or deny the
repair or replacement of any part or repair request. The warranty is not transferable.
BATTERY
(1) LR44 battery included. Use a coin to open and seal the case for battery
replacement.
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Press the ON/OFF button to turn on.
2) Select temperature mode by pressing the °F/°C button.
3) Insert probe at least 0.5" into food for an accurate reading.
4) Press the ON/OFF button to turn off (the thermometer will automatically turn
off after 10 minutes of inactivity).
DATA-HOLD MODE
While the probe is in food, press the HOLD/CAL button to hold the current
temperature reading. Hwill display in the top right corner. Press the HOLD/CAL
button again to exit the hold mode.
CALIBRATION
1) Insert the probe into a mixture of 3 parts ice and 1 part water.
2) Press the HOLD/CAL button for 4 seconds.
3) Release the HOLD/CAL button when CAL starts flashing on the display.
4) Once 32.0°F/0°C displays, the calibration is complete.
(Note: This function will only work if the temperature is between 30°F and 34°F,
or -1°C and 1°C. If the temperature is outside of this range, ERR will display for
2 seconds, and then return to the temperature mode.)
