FRITZ!Powerline 1260E expands your
existing powerline network and can be
used with your wireless LAN and network
devices as a secure access point to the
home network and the internet.
In the FRITZ!Box home network,
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E automatically
adopts the FRITZ!Box‘s settings. With a
FRITZ!Box that has FRITZ!OS 6.90 or higher
installed, you can also benefit from expan-
ded Mesh WiFi functionality. More detailed
information about the benefits and the
configuration of Mesh WiFi is presented at
en.avm.de/mesh-networking.
For device settings FRITZ!Powerline 1260E
has a user interface. In the user inter-
face you can update the FRITZ!OS device
software, set up a wireless schedule and
a wireless guest access, or configure
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E as a wireless
repeater to expand your existing wireless
radio network.
Thanks to these properties FRITZ!Power-
line 1260E is a versatile device with many
application possibilities, that can expand
the range of your home network over
powerline, wireless LAN and over LAN
connections.

Security
Operate FRITZ!Powerline 1260E in
a dry place that is free of dust and
protected from direct sunlight, and
provide for sufficient ventilation.
Connect FRITZ!Powerline 1260E to
easily accessible outlets.
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E is intended for
indoor use only. Never let liquids get
inside the device.
Do not open FRITZ!Powerline 1260E.
Opening and/or repairing the device
can present a hazard.
Remove FRITZ!Powerline 1260E from
the mains before cleaning. Clean the
device using a moist cloth.
Requirements for Gigabit
Data Rates
For high data rates with gigabit
speeds (up to 1200 Mbit/s gross), the
FRITZ!Powerline1260E deploys MIMO
technology. MIMO requires a modern
circuit with safety outlets and with live
(L), neutral (N) and protective earth (PE)
conductors. In these three-wire circuits,
FRITZ!Powerline1260E can combine the
live and the earth conductor to make an
additional wire pair for data transmis-
sion to increase the data rate. You can
also deploy the FRITZ!Powerline1260E
in older circuits with two conductors, in
which the neutral conductor takes on
the function of the protective earth. Data
rates of up to 600 Mbit/s (gross) are
possible in such circuits.

FRITZ!Powerline 1260E has a user inter-
face you can open in the web browser on
your computer. In the web browser, enter
the following IP address:

FRITZ!Powerline 1260E Expands Your Powerline Network
1. Insert FRITZ!Powerline 1260E in an outlet in the vicinity of
a powerline adapter that is part of the powerline network
already set up.
2. Wait until the WLAN LED on FRITZ!Powerline 1260E lights
steadily and then press and hold the Connect button for
1second.
3. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the button for powerline
pairing (usually labeled „Pairing“ or „Security“) on another
adapter in the powerline network for 1 second.
4. If you have a FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 6.90 or higher
installed, you can integrate FRITZ!Powerline 1260E into the
Mesh WiFi of your FRITZ!Box: First trigger registration mode
with the “WPS” or “Connect” button on the FRITZ!Box, and
then press the “Connect” button on FRITZ!Powerline 1260E
and hold it down for 1second. The LEDs on FRITZ!Powerline
1260E will start flashing.
5. As soon as the “Connect” LED stops flashing, you can insert
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E into an outlet at the location where
you need access to the Internet and the home network for
your smartphone, tablet and other network devices.

devices using a LAN cable or via WiFi.

Expanding the Wireless Network with FRITZ!Powerline
Here is how to use FRITZ!Powerline 1260E as a WLAN repeater.
1. In the web browser, enter the address http://fritz.powerline. The FRITZ!Powerline
1260E user interface opens.
2. Select Access to the Home Network and click Change Connection Type.
3. Select Wireless Bridge and click Next. A Wizard takes you step by step through the
configuration of FRITZ!Powerline 1260E.
4. At the end of configuration, click Finish.
5. Select Powerline, disable the Powerline active checkbox, and click OK.
6. Connect your wireless LAN and network devices with FRITZ!Powerline 1260E.

Optimizing the Data Rate
A powerline network is influenced by many factors. With the following steps you can
contribute to an optimal data rate in your powerline network:
Insert powerline devices directly into wall outlets and avoid using multi-outlet strips.
If you can‘t avoid using multi-outlet strips:
–Use a multi-outlet strip without surge protection.
–Connect as few devices as possible to the multi-outlet strip.
–Insert your powerline device in the first socket, directly at the cable.
If you cannot avoid using a multi-outlet strip with surge protection, then the surge
protection should be located behind the powerline device.
The data rate in a powerline network drops for:
–a connection over multiple phases
–a connection that has to pass through a junction box, a circuit breaker, a dimmer
or ballast units
–use of a power drill or a vacuum cleaner
Attempt to minimize these influences.
The quality of your powerline network can also be optimized using the AVM
FRITZ!Powerline software, which you can download from en.avm.de/powerline.

us in further developing the product. This
allows you to benefit directly from optimi-
zations and FRITZ!OS updates. For more

Disposal
In accordance with the Electrical and
Electronic Equipment Act, FRITZ!Powerline
1260E and its cable may not be disposed
with household waste. Please bring these
to your local collection points for disposal.
CE Declaration
AVM declares herewith that the device is
compliant with the basic requirements and
the relevant rules in directives 2014/53/EU,
2009/125/EC and 2011/65/EU.

Manufacturer’s Warranty
We offer a manufacturer’s warranty of 5 years for this original product. The warranty pe-
riod begins with the purchase date from the first end user. Compliance with the warranty
period can be proven by submission of the original invoice or comparable documents.
This warranty does not restrict your warranty rights based on the contract of sale or other
statutory rights.
Within the warranty period, we will remove defects to the product which are demonstra-
bly due to faults in materials or manufacturing. Our warranty does not cover defects
which occur due to incorrect installation, improper use, non-observance of instructions
in the user manual, normal wear and tear or defects in the environment of the system
(third-party hardware or software). We may, at our discretion, repair or replace the defec-
tive product. Claims other than the right to the removal of defects which is mentioned in
these terms of warranty are not constituted.
We guarantee that the software conforms with general specifications, not, however, that
the software meets your individual requirements. Delivery costs will not be reimbursed.
Products which have been replaced revert to our ownership. Claims recognized under
warranty entail neither an extension or recommencement of the warranty period. If we
reject a warranty claim, this claim lapses no later than six months after being rejected
by us.
This warranty shall be governed by German substantive law, to the exclusion of the United
Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

Voraussetzung für Gigabit-
Datenraten
Für hohe Datenraten mit Gigabit-
Geschwindigkeit (bis zu 1200 MBit/s
brutto) nutzt FRITZ!Powerline1260E
die MIMO-Technik. MIMO benötigt einen
modernen Stromkreis mit Schutzkon-
takt-Steckdosen und mit Phase (L),
Neutral- (N) und Schutzleiter (PE). In die-
sen Stromkreisen mit drei Adern kann
FRITZ!Powerline1260E auf der Phase
und dem Schutzleiter ein zusätzliches
Aderpaar für die Datenübertragung bil-
den und die Datenrate dadurch steigern.
Sie können FRITZ!Powerline1260E auch
in älteren Stromkreisen mit zwei Adern
einsetzen, in denen der Neutralleiter die
Aufgabe des Schutzleiters mit über-
nimmt. In solchen Stromkreisen sind
Datenraten von maximal 600 MBit/s
(brutto) möglich.

zeroberfläche, die Sie am Computer im
Internetbrowser öffnen. Geben Sie im

FRITZ!Powerline 1260E erweitert Ihr Powerline-Netzwerk
1. Stecken Sie FRITZ!Powerline 1260E in eine Steckdose, die
sich in der Nähe eines Powerline-Adapters Ihres schon
eingerichteten Powerline-Netzwerks befindet.
2. Warten Sie, bis die Leuchtdiode WLAN von FRITZ!Powerline
1260E dauerhaft leuchtet und drücken Sie dann 1Sekunde
lang auf die Taste Connect.
3. Drücken Sie innerhalb von 2 Minuten an einem anderen Ad-
apter im Powerline-Netzwerk 1Sekunde lang auf die Taste
für Powerline-Verbindungen (Pairing- oder Security-Taste).
4. Wenn Sie eine FRITZ!Box mit FRITZ!OS ab 6.90 haben,
können Sie FRITZ!Powerline 1260E in das WLAN Mesh der
FRITZ!Box einbinden: Starten Sie dafür die
Anmeldebereitschaft der FRITZ!Box mit WPS oder Connect
und drücken Sie dann für 1Sekunde auf die Connect-
Taste von FRITZ!Powerline 1260E. Die Leuchtdioden von
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E blinken.
5. Sobald Connect nicht mehr blinkt, können Sie
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E in eine Steckdose stecken, in deren
Nähe Sie für Smartphone, Tablet und andere Netzwerkgerä-
te einen Zugang zum Internet und Heimnetz benötigen.

Funknetz mit FRITZ!Powerline erweitern
Sie können FRITZ!Powerline 1260E als WLAN-Repeater einsetzen.
1. Geben Sie im Internetbrowser die Adresse http://fritz.powerline ein. Die
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E-Benutzeroberfläche wird geöffnet.
2. Wählen Sie Heimnetz-Zugang und klicken Sie auf Zugangsart ändern.
3. Wählen Sie WLAN-Brücke und klicken Sie auf Weiter. Ein Assistent führt Sie Schritt
für Schritt durch die Einrichtung von FRITZ!Powerline 1260E.
4. Am Ende der Einrichtung klicken Sie auf Fertigstellen.
5. Wählen Sie Powerline, deaktivieren Sie das Kontrollkästchen Powerline aktiv und
klicken Sie auf OK.
6. Verbinden Sie Ihre WLAN- und Netzwerkgeräte mit FRITZ!Powerline 1260E.

Datenrate optimieren
Ein Powerline-Netzwerk wird durch viele Faktoren beeinflusst. Mit folgenden Schritten
können Sie zu einer guten Datenrate in Ihrem Powerline-Netzwerk beitragen:
Stecken Sie Powerline-Geräte direkt in Wandsteckdosen und vermeiden Sie den
Einsatz von Mehrfachsteckdosen.
Wenn sich der Einsatz einer Mehrfachsteckdose nicht vermeiden lässt:
–Verwenden Sie eine Mehrfachsteckdose ohne Überspannungsschutz.
–Schließen Sie möglichst wenige Geräte an der Mehrfachsteckdose an.
–Stecken Sie Ihr Powerline-Gerät in den vorderen Steckplatz direkt am Kabel.
Wenn sich der Einsatz einer Mehrfachsteckdose mit Überspannungsschutz nicht
vermeiden lässt, sollte sich der Überspannungsschutz hinter dem Powerline-Gerät
befinden.
Die Datenrate im Powerline-Netzwerk sinkt bei:
–einer Verbindung über mehrere Phasen
–einer Verbindung über eine Verteilerdose, einen FI-Schutzschalter, einen Dimmer
oder Vorschaltgeräte
–Einsatz einer Bohrmaschine oder eines Staubsaugers

El FRITZ!Powerline 1260E es un adaptador
PLC, con el que podrá ampliar una red PLC
ya existente y que podrá utilizar con los
dispositivos de una red inalámbrica, como
punto de acceso a la red doméstica y al
router de Internet.
En la red doméstica de un FRITZ!Box el
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E adoptará automá-
ticamente la configuración del FRITZ!Box.
En un FRITZ!Box a partir de la versión 6.90
del FRITZ!OS tendrá también los beneficios
de la red WiFi Mesh. Para obtener mayor

Podrá ajustar la configuración del
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E en la interfaz de
usuario. En la interfaz podrá, por ejemplo,
actualizar el FRITZ!OS, ajustar un tempori-

FRITZ!Powerline 1260E como repetidor
inalámbrico y así ampliar una red WiFi ya
existente.

Seguridad
Utilice el adaptador FRITZ!Powerline

donde no reciba la luz directa del sol

Conecte el FRITZ!Powerline 1260E ha
una toma de corriente cercana.
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E han sido dise-
ñado para la utilización en el interior
de edificios. No permita que entre
ningún tipo de líquido al interior del
dispositivo.
¡No abra el armazón del FRITZ!Power-
line 1260E! El abrirlo y/o la mani-
pulación por parte de personal no

Requisitos para alcanzar
velocidades Gigabit
Para poder trasmitir de datos a velo-
cidad Gigabit (hasta 1200 Mbps bruta)
el adaptador FRITZ!Powerline1260E
utiliza la técnica MIMO. MIMO requiere
un circuito moderno con salidas de
seguridad y con conductores en fase (L),
neutro (N) y polo a tierra (PE). En estos
circuitos de tres hilos, el
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E puede combinar
los conductores de fase y de tierra para
hacer un par de hilos adicional para la
transmisión de datos y aumentar así la
velocidad de transmisión. También pue-
de utilizar el FRITZ! Powerline 1260E en
circuitos antiguos con dos cables, en los
que el conductor neutro asume la tarea
del conductor de protección. Velocidades
de datos de hasta 600 Mbps (brutos) son
posibles en tales circuitos.

El FRITZ!Powerline 1260E tiene una
interfaz de usuario, que podrá abrir en
el navegador web de su ordenador. Inicie
su navegador web y teclee la dirección:

Red PLC con FRITZ!Powerline 1260E
1. Conecte el FRITZ!Powerline 1260E en una toma de corriente
que se encuentre cerca de un adaptador PLC en su
red PLC.
2. Espere hasta que el indicador led “WLAN” del
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E se ilumine permanentemente y
luego presione el botón Connect durante 1 segundo.
3. En los 2 minutos siguoentes presione durante un segundo
el botón para la conexión PLC del adaptador PLC (botón
Paaring o Security).
4. Si tiene un FRITZ!Box con el FRITZ!OS 6.90 o posterior, podrá
concectar el FRITZ!Powerline 1260E a la red WiFi Mesh del
FRITZ!Box; para hacer esto, inicie sesión en el FRITZ!Box
con WPS o Connect, y luego presione durante un segundo el
botón Connect en el FRITZ!Powerline 1260E. Los ledes del
adaptador FRITZ!Powerline 1260E parpadean.
5. Una vez Connect no parpadea más, podrá conectar el
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E en una toma de corriente, que
se encuentre dónde desea poner a disposición de un
smartphone, una tablet y otros dispositivos de red el acceso
a Internet y a la red doméstica.
