Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequaityfor
specicsurveiancescenes.GotoSettings>Image>xposureandseectbetweenthefoowingexposuremodes:

•Formostusecases,seectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaighting,forexampeuorescentighting,seectFlicker-free.
Seectthesamefrequencyasthepowerinefrequency.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaightandbrightight,forexampeoutdoorswithuorescentightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,seectFlicker-reduced.
Seectthesamefrequencyasthepowerinefrequency.
•Toockthecurrentexposuresettings,seectHoldcurrent.
BeetfromIRlightilow-lightcoditiosusigightmode
Yourcamerausesvisibeighttodeivercoorimagesduringtheday.Astheavaiabeightdiminishes,youcansetthecamerato
automaticayshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothvisibeightandnear-infraredighttodeiverback-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavaiabeightitcandeiverbrighter,moredetaied,images.
1.GotoSettings>Image>Dayandnight,andmakesurethattheIRcutlterissettoAuto.
2.Todetermineatwhatighteveyouwantthecameratoshifttonightmode,movetheThresholdsidertowardBright
orDark.
3.EnabeAllowIRilluminationandSynchronizeIRilluminationtousethecamera’sIRightwhennightmodeisactivated.

Ifyousettheshifttooccurwhenit’sbrighter,theimageremainssharperastherewibeessow-ightnoise.Ifyouset
theshifttooccurwhenit’sdarker,theimagecoorsaremaintainedforonger,buttherewibemoreimageburdue
toow-ightnoise.
Reduceoiseilow-lightcoditios
Toreducenoiseinow-ightconditions,youcanadjustoneormoreofthefoowingsettings:
•Makesurethattheexposuremodeisautomatic.
Note
Increasingthemaxshuttervauecanresutinmotionbur.
•Theshutterspeedshoudbeassowaspossibe,whichmeansyoushoudsetmaxshuttertothehighestpossibevaue.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage.
Hadlesceeswithstrogbacklight
Dynamicrangeisthedifferenceinightevesinanimage.Insomecasesthedifferencebetweenthedarkestandthebrightest
areascanbesignicant.Theresutisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasarevisibe.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimagevisibe.
1.GotoSettings>Image.
2.Ifrequired,turnonWDRunderWidedynamicrange.
3.UsetheLocalcontrastsidertoadjusttheamountofWDR.
