Yourcamerausesvisibeighttodeivercoorimagesduringtheday.Astheavaiabeightdiminishes,youcansetthecamerato
automaticayshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothvisibeightandnear-infraredighttodeiverback-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavaiabeightitcandeiverbrighter,moredetaied,images.
1.GotoSettings>Image>Dayandnight,andmakesurethattheIRcutlterissettoAuto.
2.Todetermineatwhatighteveyouwantthecameratoshifttonightmode,movetheThresholdsidertowardBright
orDark.
3.EnabeAllowIRilluminationandSynchronizeIRilluminationtousethecamera’sIRightwhennightmodeisactivated.

•Makesurethattheexposuremodeisautomatic.

Increasingthemaxshuttervauecanresutinmotionbur.
•Theshutterspeedshoudbeassowaspossibe,whichmeansyoushoudsetmaxshuttertothehighestpossibevaue.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage.
Hadlesceeswithstrogbacklight
Dynamicrangeisthedifferenceinightevesinanimage.Insomecasesthedifferencebetweenthedarkestandthebrightest
areascanbesignicant.Theresutisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasarevisibe.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimagevisibe.

avaiabeoptionsare:

MotionJPEGorMJPEGisadigitavideosequencethatismadeupofaseriesofindividuaJPEGimages.Theseimagesarethen
dispayedandupdatedataratesufcienttocreateastreamthatshowsconstantyupdatedmotion.Fortheviewertoperceivemotion
videotheratemustbeateast16imageframespersecond.Fumotionvideoisperceivedat30(NTSC)or25(PAL)framespersecond.
TheMotionJPEGstreamusesconsiderabeamountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexceentimagequaityandaccesstoeveryimage
containedinthestream.
H.264orMPG-4Part10/AVC
Note
H.264isaicensedtechnoogy.TheAxisproductincudesoneH.264viewingcienticense.Instaingadditionaunicensed
copiesofthecientisprohibited.Topurchaseadditionaicenses,contactyourAxisreseer.
H.264can,withoutcompromisingimagequaity,reducethesizeofadigitavideoebymorethan80%comparedtotheMotion
JPEGformatandbyasmuchas50%comparedtotheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace
arerequiredforavideoe.Orseenanotherway,highervideoquaitycanbeachievedforagivenbitrate.

ObtainanewIPaddressfromthenetworkadministratorandreinstathedevice.

forusewiththeAxisdevice.Checkacabingandreinstathedevice.
PossibeIPaddressconict

ThestaticIPaddressintheAxisdeviceisusedbeforetheDHCPserversetsadynamicaddress.
ThismeansthatifthesamedefautstaticIPaddressisasousedbyanotherdevice,theremay
