Main Screen
This is the screen that will appear at the startup of the machine. It allows the operator to
enter six different areas of configuration plus a help screen. Some of the areas require a
password to enter due to the sensitivity of the settings they hold.
Advanced Setup
The advanced setup screen is reached by pressing the advanced setup button on the main
screen. It also requires a password to gain access (1428). This screen allows the operator
to access the timers and change the operation modes.

Azco Corp. Page 5 1/10/2018
Manual Operations
The manual operations screen allows the operator to complete a manual cut of the
material. The manual cut button causes the machine to make a single cut to clear the exit
chute on the unit. The jog FWD and Jog REV are to convey manually.
System Mode Select
In this screen, the operator can change the mode of operation. All of the other modes
will not give you the proper results. In continuous mode, the machine will just feed a set
length of material and make a cut. It will disregard all registration marks and just cut the
material into equal lengths each time. This model can work on counter mode (length +
cut) and one shot if connected to a dry contact with the provided one shot connection.

Azco Corp. Page 6 1/10/2018
Machine Run Screen
This is the main screen of operation. This is where the operator can start and stop the
unit and keep watch on the amount of cuts that it has made. To start a cycle just press the
cycle start button and the machine will wait for an external trigger and then it will
complete its task. Your total cycles are the amount of cycles that the machine has made
since it has been in operation. Your batch count allows the operator to set a certain
amount of cuts in order for the machine to stop. This setting may also be set at 0 to have
the machine run continuously until the operator presses the cycle stop button. The
operator is also able to view what mode the machine is currently running in. After the
cycle stop button is pressed, the operator may also use the jog and manual cut buttons to
clear any errors or start a new roll of product.

Azco Corp. Page 7 1/10/2018
Standard Setup Screen
This screen allows enter in the cut length for their specifications. The operator can enter
the amount of length that are to be made, or it can be set at 0 for infinity. The operator
can view the total cycles and life cycles here as.
Alarms
This screen displays the error messages and allows the operator to clear any message that
is activated. Whenever there is an alarm fault, the operator must go to this screen and
press the alarm clear button in order to start a new cycle. Any error that occurs will be
shown by a red light next to the description.

General Maintenance
* MUST DISCONNECT AIR SUPPLY & TURN OFF ELECTRICAL POWER *
Note: The linear ball bearings on the knife assembly require no additional lubrication, as
they are sealed. A Nylock nut holds the adjusting screw. No additional thread locker is
required.
Disassembly of Blades:
1. Make sure Air supply and electrical power is off
2. Remove bolts located on bolt locking assembly.
3. Remove blade, it will come right off
Assembly of Blades:
1. Make sure Air supply and electrical power is off
2. Remove the safety cover guard assembly (if applicable)
3. Stationary blade should be put in first.
4. Tighten stationary blade with the bolts provided
5. Put springs into counter hole located on the bracket
6. Put movable blade onto the knife bracket, securing the movable blade with the
bolts provided
7. Tighten movable blades until it makes contact with stationary blade.
8. The movable blade should be parallel to the stationary blade
9. Set blade by Following Blade Setting Instructions
Home Sensor Adjustment:
1. Bring the air cylinder’s piston into the detection position.
2. Precisely align the sensor by means of the LED indication: The LED is lit when
the output is switched.
3. Tighten the clamp screw to secure it in the slot.
4. Mark the sensor position by inserting a rubber placeholder.

Azco Corp. Page 9 1/10/2018
Blade Setting Instructions:
WHEN DOING THESE STEPS, MAKE SURE HANDS AND BODY ARE AWAY
FROM THE CUTTING PORTION OF THE BLADE
1. Remove top cover to access solenoid valves.
2. Tighten each of the knobs on each cylinder allowing air to exhaust from the cylinder.
3. Put blade bracket up and manually feed material through the blade.
4. Press down the blade bracket until the knife closes, do not touch blade!
5. If it is assembled correctly, when you press down on the bracket, it should move and
cut freely without much force applied. You should get a nice clean cut.
6. If it doesn’t, all screws need to be check and adjusted until it cuts the material easily.
ii. If the screws are on too tight, loosen the screws by a quarter turn each time.
a. Ways you can tell if it is too tight:
i. The blade bracket will not go down or will have to use force to push it down.
ii. Too much friction on the blade
iii. Too much force is needed to cut material
iii. If the screws are on too loose, then tighten screws by a quarter turn each time:
a. Ways you can tell if it is too tight:
i. The blades will not be parallel to each other
5. Once the blades are setup properly, put safety guards back, loosen the knobs on the
air cylinder, connect the air supply, and turn the power on and run unit as instructed.

Preventive Maintenance
The Cut to Length Assembly is a low maintenance unit requiring minimal upkeep. It is
recommended that the unit be cleaned once a week by a qualified technician. Any
industrial cleaner (such as Simple Green) that is safe to use on aluminum and stainless
steel will work fine. The unit is NOT wash down safe and should never be exposed to
large amounts of water or fluid. All safety precautions should be followed when
cleaning and servicing the unit. Azco Corp. recommend the blades be lubricated once a
day using an industrial lubricant (LPS Industrial Lubricant is recommended). While
lubricating the blades, it is recommended that bolts securing the blades be checked to
ensure they are tightened properly.
To ensure the durability and life of your unit, it is recommended that you
recondition your unit once a year in the first year and twice a year after that.
This service will include:
Blade sharpening
Bearings and retaining rings will be replaced
Replace guide shafts
Replace blade mounting hardware
If sample material is sent in with the unit for reconditioning, the unit will be setup already
to run, no need to reset the unit when you receive it back
For more information regarding this service and the cost, please contact us at 973-439-1428.
