1 About Kito+
Welcome to the Kito+ family!
Kito+ is a hand-held device that should be used in indoor environments to measure body vitals
in adults. It has a modular desi n so that you can easily attach and re-use it with the cover for
iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus devices. It can also be used as a standalone device with Android
phones, tablets and iPads possessin BLE (Bluetooth Low Ener y) 4.0 and above.
With Kito+ you can measure heart rate, oxy en saturation of arterial hemo lobin (SpO2),
respiration rate, human skin temperature and electrocardio raphic activity (ECG). Kito+ uses a 1
Lead ECG mechanism to capture ECG, a n NTC thermistor-based sensor to measure skin
temperature and a reflective SpO2 technolo y to measure blood oxy en. Heart rate is calculated
usin the ECG values. Respiration rate is derived from the ECG and Photoplethysmo raphy
(PPG) values.
Kito+ connects to the Kito mobile app throu h Bluetooth Low Ener y (BLE) technolo y. The
recorded measurements are displayed in the Kito app and stored on a secure Azync Cloud
Platform.
Kito+ comprises the followin key elements:
Kito+ Module
Char er and USB cable
Firmware
Mobile (Android / iOS) Application Software

device.
2.2 Intended Use
Kito+ is a portable, handheld, non-invasive device intended to measure heart rate, oxy en
saturation of arterial hemo lobin (SpO2),
respiration rate, skin temperature and
electrocardio raphic (ECG) activity. The device is intended to be used by adults in a dry,
clean
and stable environment to track their own data and make informed lifestyle decisions

Oxy en saturation of arterial hemo lobin (SpO2); and
Respiration rate
2.4 Contraindication
Kito+ does not detect or dia nose medical conditions. The readin s displayed and stored by
Kito+ should not be used for any specific clinical dia nosis, self-medication, medical checkup
substitution, and makin critical medical decisions. The skin temperature measurement is for

5 Your Health Data
5.1 Know your Vitals
Before proceedin further, let us quickly understand what the vitals measured by Kito+, stand
for:
Heart Rate - Heart rate is the number of times your heart beats in a minute and is an important
indicator of cardiovascular fitness. The Heart rate of a healthy adult in a relaxed state, lies in the
ran e of 60 to 100 beats per minute.
Pa e 12 of 29

Instructions for Use
Skin Temperature - Skin Temperature measures the temperature at the surface of your skin.
Skin temperature majorly depends on the surroundin air temperature and time spent in an
environment. External factors such as chilly winds and humidity can cause chan es in the skin
temperature. The skin temperature sensors are for referencin only since skin temperature is
influenced by environmental conditions and can vary relatively quickly as the environment
chan es.
Electrocardiogram (ECG) - ECG, alternatively known as EKG, is a test that records the heart's
electrical activity. In simple terms, the heart's activity is captured and plotted on a waveform
raph.
Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) - SpO2 is a percenta e of Oxy en Saturation in the blood. For
an adult, the blood oxy en level should ideally ran e from 95 to 100 percent in a relaxed state.
Respiration - Respiration Rate is the number of breaths taken per minute. Normal Respiration
Rate for an adult in a relaxed state ran es from 12 to 18 breaths per minute. Take a deep breath
and read on.
Note: Kito app provides detailed information on all the bod vitals. Go to Settings ( ) and
tap “About Vitals” to understand the normal ranges for vital signs with respect to age, weight,
gender and overall health.
5.2 The Dashboard
The Dashboard is your personalized space to take a new readin , look up the existin readin s,
and modify default settin s.

Instructions for Use
Dashboard Components
Timeline: The Dashboard timeline displays dates of the current month sequentially alon a line.
You can slide the timeline to move back and forth and review older readin s. The dots adjacent
to the dates expand and shrink based on the number of readin s taken durin a day; a lar er dot
denotes multiple readin records.
Reading Card: One readin card holds the details of a sin le readin . Readin cards
correspondin to the date selected in the timeline will be visible at the bottom of your screen. If
you have taken multiple readin s on a sin le day, the latest readin will be visible and rest of the
readin cards will remain collapsed under the Readin Card area. You can view the entire
Readin card by slidin up the screen.

Instructions for Use
Share Readings: To share readin s, tap “Share” and select the Readin Cards you would like to
send via email.
Settings: Tap Settin s ( ) to set a reminder, edit your Profile, sync Fitbit™, apply a

Once ou initiate the firmware upgrade, ou will not be able to access the application until the
firmware installation is complete.
5.3 Readin s by Type
5.3.1 Heart Rate
Tap “Heart Rate” to plot heart rate value on the chart. Here, the X-axis (horizontal) corresponds
to the hour/day/month units, and the Y-axis (vertical) corresponds to the measurin unit for
heart rate which is BPM.
The values on Y-axis show the ran e for heart rate.
Note: The range shown in the application is onl a reference and ma not appl to ever one.
Consult our doctor to find out the appropriate range for ou.
Pa e 15 of 29

Instructions for Use
The point plotted on the raph denotes the avera e of readin s taken in an hour. The readin
which you are reviewin will be displayed at the center of the screen (72 BPM in the screen).
The value in percenta e at the top-ri ht of your screen (11%) is the percenta e difference
between your latest readin and the one bein reviewed.
The app also overlays the information received from Fitbit™ over its own readin of vitals to
indicate how your daily activity is affectin your vitals.
The line raph which is a series of data points connected by lines, illustrates Fitbit™ data. Please
refer the section, Sync Fitbit TM.
Similarly, you can review the raphs for rest of the vitals.

Instructions for Use
5.3.2 SpO2
Tap “Blood Oxy en” to plot your measurements on the chart. Here, the X-axis (horizontal)
corresponds to the hour/day/month, and the Y-axis (vertical) corresponds to the percenta e of
Blood Oxy en.
5.3.3 Respiration
Tap “Respiration” to plot your measurements on the chart. Here, the X-axis (horizontal) corre-
sponds to the hour/day/month, and the Y-axis (vertical) corresponds to the number of breaths

5.3.5 ECG
ECG represents the electrical activity of the heart as measured by Kito+’s electrodes.
In an ECG display, the X-axis (horizontal) corresponds to the time in seconds, and Y-axis
(vertical) corresponds to the amplitude or volta e in millivolts (mV). The raph hi hli hts a

repeatin pattern of a tiny wave, followed by a sharp dip, a tall and a sharp spike, followed by a
moderate sized wave. This wave pattern represents a sin le cardiac cycle.
To enhance the ECG raph, you can apply a filter to remove noises from the ECG si nal. Go to
Settin s, tap “ECG Filter” switch to to le it ON or OFF.
Accurate ECG interpretation is complex and involves interpretation of several other parameters
in tandem. Hence, we recommend that you show your ECG results to an expert in the relevant
medical field for an in-depth analysis and interpretation of the results.
