Congratulations on your purchase of the BabyBubu Baby Hammock, the 3-in-1 Cradle!
It‘s growing with your child, usable from birth up to infancy.
Depending on the mounted variation use BabyBubu as
Baby Cradle, Hammock or Hanging chair.
Together with the available accessories, the BabyBubu Cradle is
the ideal and almost everywhere usable travel cot.
BabyBubu grows with your child: Our Starter-Set is suitable for babies from 1-16kg.
We recommend the UpdateKit for childs up to 31kg.

Mounting of suspension to the ceiling:
The following applies to all types of ceiling:
Suspension must be reliable and tightly fixed to the
ceiling and shall resist a heavy load. Rotting, defective
ceilings or ceilings that are for any other reason not able
to steadily withstand a load must not be used for moun-
ting. If in doubt, please check the ceiling with qualified
assistance and have mounting carried out by an expert.
Concrete ceilings:
• Drill a hole measuring approx. 10mm wide and 70mm
deep with a concrete drill bit and insert the supplied
Dowel. The lower end of the Dowel shall butt against
the ceiling.
• Then screw the supplied Ring Bolt into the ceiling until
the distance between ceiling and Ring is 1cm.
Wooden ceiling beam:
• If wood is used, please pre-drill. Use a drill with a
diameter that correspond to the core diameter of the
screw (8mm).
• Then screw the supplied Ring Bolt into the ceiling until
the distance between ceiling and Ring is 1cm.
For any other kind of ceiling:
e.g. Gypsum, hollow ceilings, solid wood, etc. please
consult an expert.
You may alternatively use our floor stand.
! Important: Please test the mounted Ring Bolt before
use! Place as possible the burden of your full body
weight on it. The Ring Bolt has to be firmly fixed and
must not exhibit any clearance !
Montage Baby Hammock:
You will find more safety instructions on page 11
1. Please attach the Spring together with Chain and
accessories to the Ring Bolt. Pay attention that the Ka-
rabiner is closed and all individual parts are arranged
as shown in the given exploded assembly drawing.
! Important: Pay attention that the Safety Rope is con-
nected to the Karabiner above and below the Spring
and that the Spring Cover is pulled over the Spring !
2. Open the Baby Hammock Sling.
3. Fix the Baby Hammock Sling with both rings to the Sa-
fety Karabiner and turn the safety closure round until
completely locked. Please check if the safety closure
is completely locked.
4. Place the Wooden Bar between both lengths of fabric
by leading the fabric into the notch of the Wooden Bar.
You may use the existing loops to fix the Wooden Bar
but you can also vary the height (See: Adjustment of
the lying position).
Align the Wooden Bar in such a way that it is arranged
horizontally to the bottom of the BabyBubu. If you
have fixed the right position please fasten the Laces to
prevent the lengths of fabric from slipping out.
5. Now you can slide the Mattress in the insertion below
the Hammock Sling at the foot end.
6. Please note that the Mattress slide-in is equipped
with an additional internal touch fastener to prevent
the Mattress from shifting. Open it before sliding the
Mattress in the insertion and close it as soon as the
Mattress is in the right position.
7. Now fold the remaining fabric at the end of the Mat-
tress (edge of the mattress) and turn it down under
the Mattress.
8. Before using the Baby Hammock, please check the
distance between the Baby Hammock Sling and the
ground.
! Important: By using BabyBubu as a Baby Hammock it
must be ensured that the lowest point of the BabyBubu,
in the unloaded state, is 50cm above the ground !
9. If you then lay your baby down into the Baby Ham-
mock Sling, you may close the Baby Hammock side-
wards with the pushbuttons.

Adjustment of the lying
position:
With help of the Wooden Bar
you are able to regulate the
height baby is lying with its
head. Arrange the Wooden
Bar above or below the small
Laces and adjust thereby the
height of the head side. You
can lift the Wooden Bar to
a maximum height of 5cm
above the fixed Laces.
Please note:

• Child´s head points always in the direction of the
BabyBubu logo.
• Between Spring and Baby Hammock Sling use
always the Rotating Swivel.
• Pay attention to the maximum weight of the Spring
used.
• The sequence of the mounting must correspond to
the exploded assembly drawing.
• The primarily unaccustomed smell arises from
unbleached cotton and the original sheep wool
mattress.
• It evaporates gradually on its own or the first time it
is washed (please note the washing instructions).

Montage Hanging Chair:
(from 3 to 10 years age)
If your infant is able to stand up, to walk or to climb itself,
you may turn BabyBubu Cradle into a Hanging Chair.
During the conversion there must be no child within the
Hanging Chair.
! The Hanging Chair function must only be used
without the Spring !
1. First of all: Remove the Spring. Suspension with all
other elements can be remain unchanged.
2. Remove the Wooden Bar and pass it firstly through the
loops of the BabyBubu Sling heading section.
3. Then fix the ends of the Wooden Bar to the small loops
at the lateral lenghts of fabric. Fasten the Laces to
prevent the lengths of fabric from slipping out.
Montage Hammock:
If you prefer a more open lying position or you want to use
a suitable stand, you can use the BabyBubu as a regular
Hammock for your baby. During the conversion there
must be no child within the Hammock.
! The Hammock function must only be used without
the Spring !
1. First of all: Remove the Spring.
2. Attach the rings, that are sewn on the Baby Hammock
Sling, with the help of Karabiners to a suitable suspen-
sion for child hammocks.

• The usage of BabyBubu as a Hanging Chair may not
occur until your child is able to enter and leave the
Hanging Chair on its own.
• The maximum load of 31kg must not be exceeded.
• Since the Wooden Bar is necessary to ensure the
Chair function (it would otherwise lead to a severe
tension of the fabric) please pay attention to the fact
that the distance between the two anchoring sup-
ports (toroidal rings) must not exceed 52cm.
• You may use an alternative suspension (e.g. existing
swing frame or other similar 2-point suspension).
• Select the height of the BabyBubu Hanging Chair
such that your child is able to enter and leave safely.
• You must under no circumstances load the Cradle
in sudden bursts, e.g. by jumping or by putting the
child very energetic into the Cradle.

• Child´s head points always in the direction of the

• Please make sure that the distance between both
rings in the expanded state is not less than 50cm
and maximum 120cm.
• The maximum load of 20kg must not be exceeded.
• If your child is not able to enter and leave the Ham-
mock on its own, please use the optional available
Safety Belt.
• The BabyBubu Hammock function shall only be
used in a supine position.
• Please be careful putting your child inside the Ham-
mock.
• You must under no circumstances load the Cradle
in sudden bursts, e.g. by jumping or by putting the
child very energetic into the Cradle.
• Select the height of the BabyBubu Hammock such
that your child is able to enter and leave safely.

2. Safety Instructions
• Please note: Safety has the utmost priority for the
use of our products. When assembling the Cradle and
mounting the suspension, please use always flawless
and high quality components to be installed professi-
onally. Dowel and other fixing material has to corre-
spond the type of the ceiling and must ensure a safe
support being able to steadily withstand a load.
• If in doubt, please have mounting carried out by an
expert (You are welcome to give us a call).
• The Cradle is not a training tool or a toy for children.
Assembling, usage and supervision have to be carried
out only by adults or sufficiently instructed, expert,
reliable and for their part supervised adolescent.
• Keep packaging film away from babies and children to
avoid danger of suffocation.
• Between Spring and Baby Hammock Sling and as well
between Hanging Chair and ceiling suspension the
Rotating Swivel must be utilised.
• The material comprises small parts which can pass
into the respiratory tract. Therefore, keep any small
parts of the set reliably out of the reach of children.
• The Cradle shall only be used in the supine position.
To put the child down on its tummy may entail serious
safety risks.
• The Hanging Chair & regular Hammock function must
only be used without the Spring.
• The use of the cradle is only for a single child each
time permitted. The use with more than one child at
the same time is not allowed. The mentioned loading
capacity is to be observed.
• You are prohibited from modifying the product inde-
pendently.
• If it is possible that your child is able to stand up on its
own, the usage of the Hanging Chair & regular Ham-
mock function is permissible only under the conti-
nuous supervision of an appropriate adult.
• If your child stands up, there is a risk that your child
slips out or falls down.
• Never leave a child unattended in the Cradle. This
should always be done under adult supervision.
• Apart from Mattress, original equipment and appropri-
ate bed clothes no other objects must be positioned in
the cradle (Danger of injury).
• Do not use the Cradle for children which are too tall
or heavy.
• The Cradle may only be used in a safe environment.
Never use the Cradle near any heat sources (radiant hea-
ting, lamps, furnaces, candles etc.) Please note that hard
or edged objects mast not be placed in the swing range.
• Please observe the notes in the Mounting Instructions
in regard to height and type of suspension. To ensure
an optimal safety we recommend to use always the
lowest possible lying surface of the intended function.
• Do not allow children or animals to play unattended
near the Cradle.
• Before each use, any part of the Cradle has to be
checked for completeness, damages, properly position
and possible function limitations.
• Do not use the Cradle in the case of damage or if parts
are missing until the missing parts have been replaced
or the defect has been remedied by an expert.
• Only use replacements and accessories specified by
the manufacturer. We are not liable in case of outside
supplied parts.
• Make sure that your child is dressed accordingly to
the temperature.
• Make always sure that your baby is allowed to respire
freely and unimpeded. Choose bed clothing such that
your child is allowed to respire freely ensuring that
nothing can slip directly in front of the respiratory tract.
You may not use blankets or scarves (to use baby´s sleeping
bag is possible).
• Please put your child always in such a way into the
cradle that child´s head points in the direction of the
BabyBubu logo.
• If you are in doubt that you have by now mastered the
putting down of your baby into the cradle, please call
a second person who can assist you.
• During the transport, there must be no child within
the Cradle.
• Please use the Spring only if the provided cover is pul-
led over Spring and if Safety Rope is connected. When
in use, do not put your fingers into the Spring.
• All persons wishing to use the Cradle must be shown
how to operate it properly and safely pursuant to
above-mentioned Safety Instructions.
• If the Cradle should not be used as intended or the
instructions for use should not be observed, there is
no entitlement for any guarantee or liability against
the Famovy GmbH.
• Please keep this instructions such that you can easily
find it and you are able to pass it on to possible sub-
sequent users.
• The above-mentioned information on safety applies
also if you use the BabyBubu while traveling. This
applies in particular in regard to a safe fixation.

Metal and Wooden parts
You can clean metal parts as well as
wooden parts with a damp cloth.
Mattress of BabyBubu
The Mattress of BabyBubu is filled with
high quality Sheep Wool. Do not wash the
Mattress in a washing machine.
If necessary, dry the Mattress clean.
3. Usage & Care Instructions
The BabyBubu is manufactured from high quality materials
and ensures a long-lasting useful life.
However, the life period depends on the frequency of use,
washing, UV irradiation and other influences.
Before each use, please check the status of the fabric and
the seams.
If you should notice any damage or fabric weakness
please do not continue to use the defective article.
Before each use, please be aware of the stage of your
child´s development. If children are able to sit or stand up
themselves, there is a
risk that your child may
slip or fall down. To
make use of the Cradle
shall however be possible only under the continuous
control of an appropriate person.
Do never bleach or colour textiles and do never exceed the
proposed maximum loading capacity. This can damage the
fabric and also the supporting parts such that the stability
of the article is affected. Injury may occur!
4. Washing Instructions
BabyBubu (without Mattress)
You can wash your BabyBubu (without Mat-
tress) without any problem in a washing
machine with a temperature of 40 degrees
and you may also carefully iron it afterwards.
The sewn-in metal rings are normally no problem for
your washing machine (if in doubt, please check the
instructions of your washing machine).
! We recommend to use a commercially available
laundry net when washing!
Please keep in mind that our untreated Cotton
Baby Hammock may shrink up to 10% the first
time it is washed.
Attention: Do not tumble dry.
