Parts List. The Parts configuration and Assembly process is basically the same
for these series ladders.

5 – 12 Step Fold and Store Ladders
For ease and convenience, Ballymore recommends using two people when assembling a rolling ladder.
•The Front U-Bar (B) for the Ladder should already be bolted to the bottom of the Stair Section (A).
•If your ladder has a 14” Deep Top Step, the Top Step (C) is welded to the Stair Section (A).
Proceed to Step 2 of Assembly procedure.
STEP 1 ASSEMBLE TOP STEP
-Place Stair Section (A) face down and attached Top Step (C) using four metric M8 locknuts that are
already on the threaded studs of the Top Step (C). Tighten the locknuts completely.
STEP 2 ATTACH VERTICAL WELDMENT
-Place Vertical Weldment (I) onto back of Stair Section (A) and align brackets on top of Vertical
Weldment (I) with tabs protruding from bottom of Top Step (C).
-Use 5/16” X 1” bolts (1) with locknuts (6) to fasten Vertical Weldment (I) to Stair Section (A).
-Do not tighten bolts.
STEP 3 ATTACH DIAGONAL BRACE
-Align Diagonal Brace (N) with the tabs on rear of Stair Section (A) and connect using 5/16” X 1”
bolts (1) and locknuts (6). Reference diagram included with instructions.
-Align opposite end of Diagonal Brace (N) with bottom of Rear Vertical Weldment (I) and connect
using 5/16” X 1” bolts (1) and locknuts (6).
-Do not tighten bolts.
STEP 4ASSEMBLE HANDRAIL CONFIGURATION –
BE CAREFUL WHEN ASSEMBLING HANDRAILS. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A HELPER BE USED TO
ASSIST IN THIS STEP
-Turn ladder on its side (Right side down).
-Bolt Rear Guardrail (D) to the Top Step (C) using 5/16 x 1” bolts (1) and locknuts (6).
-Connect Top Handrail (E) to Rear Guardrail (D) using 5/16 x 1-1/2” bolts (2) and locknuts (6).
Handrail stiffener should be positioned on the outside of Stair Section.
-Attach Handrail Bracket (K) to Top Handrail (E) and attach to Stair Section (A) using 5/16” X 2” bolts
(4) and locknuts (6). Handrail Brackets (K) should be positioned on the inside of the Stair Section.
-Confirm Rear Guardrail (D) is perpendicular to the Top Step (C) and tighten all handrail bolts.
-Mount Lower Handrail (G) to Stair Section (A) with Handrail Brackets (K), using 5/16” X 2” bolts (4)
and locknuts (6). Handrail Stiffener should be positioned on the outside of the Stair Section.
Handrail Brackets should be positioned on the inside of the Stair Section.
Top of Lower Handrail (G) should butt against Top Handrail (E).
-With assistance, carefully flip the ladder over onto its other side.
-Connect Top Handrails (F) to Rear Guardrail (D) using 5/16 x 1-1/2” bolt (2) and locknuts (6).
Handrail stiffener should be positioned on the outside of Stair Section.

-Attach Handrail Bracket (K) to Top Handrail (F) and attach to Stair Section (A) using 5/16” X 2” bolts
(4) and locknuts (6). Handrail Brackets (K) should be positioned on the inside of the Stair Section.
-Mount Lower Handrail (G) to Stair Section (A) with Handrail Brackets (K), using 5/16” X 2” bolts (4)
and locknuts (6). Handrail Stiffener should be positioned on the outside of the Stair Section.
Handrail Brackets should be positioned on the inside of the Stair Section.
Top of Lower Handrail (G) should butt against Top Handrail (F).
STEP 5 Install Rubber Tips (P) onto legs of Front U-Bar (B)
Get assistance to stand the ladder up. The easiest way to stand the ladder up is to lay it on its side, then
carefully stand it up. Once the ladder has been stood up, take it to a flat surface.Make sure the ladder is
firmly on the ground and sitting level.
STEP 6Confirm the ladder is sitting level then tighten all hardware EVENLY around the ladder.
STEP 7FINAL INSPECTION
-Confirm that the ladder sits level on the floor.
-Confirm that all hardware is fully tightened.
-
NOTE : ASSEMBLY, USE, AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS are attached to your ladder.
Refer to these instructions before using the ladder and on a regular basis thereafter.
