Remove the case using the Case Removal guide.

OPTIONAL: label wires with tape
or stickers before proceeding for
ease of reassembly
If your unit has an on-off switch,
an additional wire is required
which you can request directly.

These screws may be
Phillips or Torx size
10. If you do not have
Torx, use 2mm hex.
Lift the safety interlock
switch up and off of its
posts. Let it hang to the
side of the grinder.
Remove the three screws
securing the gearbox to
the chassis.
Lift the motor/gearbox
assembly out of the
chassis and unplug the
grinder from the board.

For units with on/
off switch, press into
terminal to release
wires. See On-Off
Switch Replacement
guide for clarication
Unplug the cables
leading to the timer or
on/off switch.
Unplug the power cord
connector from the
circuit board.
Remove the two screws
securing the circuit
board to the chassis and
remove the board itself.

Secure the
switch by
hand and be
sure to pull
on the spade
clip to avoid
damage.
Remove the four feet at
the base of the unit to
expose screws.
Remove the four base
screws to separate the
base from the chassis.
One of the interlock
switch wires leads
directly to the power
cord. Unplug this wire
from the interlock switch.

To release the power
cord strain relief, push
and hold a at head
screwdriver against a
side retaining clip to
disengage it.
Push the strain relief
down to lock the
retaining clip in a
disengaged position.
Repeat on the other two
releases until the strain
relief removes entirely.

Pull the wiring harness
down and away from the
chassis.
If the new cord does
not have a strain relief
installed, re-use the relief
from the original cord.
Locate corner of the
strain relief where it
opens.
Using a at head
screwdriver, push in and
down to release the clip
and open the strain relief.
Position the strain relief
on the new cord and
squeeze shut (pliers may
be needed).

The power cord has a
molex connector. The
replacement will only
have one wire installed to
the connector. There are
two other wires which
must be installed.
To remove the cables
from the old connector,
insert a narrow tool into
the exposed slot and
pull gently on the related
cable.
All three snaps engaged
Pull the wires of the new
power cord through the
chassis until the strain
relief snaps into place.

Connect the long black
wire to the interlock
switch.
Return the circuit board
by securing the two
mounting screws.
Plug the power cord
connector into the circuit
board.
Insert that cable into the
new connector until it
clicks.
For machines with an
on-off switch, repeat this
process for the other
cable.

Connect the remaining
wires to the timer or on/
off switch.

Install the base, 4 screws
and 4 feet.
Install the gearbox/
motor assembly and
plug the motor cable
into the board.

Ensure that
wires are rmly
connected, and
actuator faces
inward.
Secure the three screws
which mount the
assembly to the chassis.
Return the safety
interlock switch to its
posts.
Reinstall the case and
knob to return the grinder
to operation.
