WARRANTY STATEMENT
Hardware warranty
The warranty period commence at the date of ignature of the Certificate of In tallation and Operation or a
oon a the purcha er, cu tomer or any other party occupie or operate the y tem, or 3 month after hipping
in ca e no certificate of in tallation and Operation i provided.
•The Seller warrant the equipment manufactured by the Seller again t defect in workman hip and material,
under normal u e and in accordance with it pecification , during the period of 24 month from the afore-
mentioned date. Any part of the equipment which i wholly manufactured by third partie , i guaranteed
under the condition of uch manufacturer and no eparate warranty i given in re pect thereof by the Seller.
•In the particular ca e of LCD di play , the warranty doe not apply to the ca e of image retention phenom-
ena ( hadow , dark line and other image artifact ), that may re ult from a u age out ide of the following
pecification: in the cour e of 24 hour , the monitor can be u ed for maximum 2 hift of 8 hour , with
minimum 1 hour of relaxation between the hift .
•In the event of a defect in workman hip or material, the Seller will be obliged, at it choice and be t effort
ba e, to replace or repair the defective equipment. The replacement part will be in good working order and
at lea t functionally equivalent to the item replaced.
•The warranty doe not apply when the cau e of the failure occur after delivery of the equipment to the
Purcha er and re ult from abnormal condition of operation, unauthorized acce , improper u e, unauthor-
ized modification, lack of normal maintenance or unauthorized attempt to repair the equipment. See al o
Pre in tallation requirement and condition of u e BCD y tem. A failure to follow the e requirement can
re ult in delay and additional co t that will be invoiced to the purcha er.
•The Purcha er mu t notify the Seller of any complaint within eight day of di covery of any alleged defect.
Failure by the Purcha er to o notify the Seller will relieve the Seller of it obligation under thi article.
•The foregoing warranty will not apply if any payment remain out tanding from the Purcha er to the Seller.
•All item , part or component which are replaced by the Seller under warranty or otherwi e hall become
the property of the Seller. All defective part need to be ent back to the Seller.
•The replacement part are free of charge during the warranty period.
•The Seller will hip the replacement part to the Purcha er on a CIF
ba e. At the ame time the Seller will i ue a RAN number for returning
the defective part .
•Traveling and Lodging of the ervice engineer will be invoiced to the Purcha er according to the Time & Ma-
terial Pricing rule of the Seller.
•On ite labor of the ervice engineer will be invoiced to the Barco National Organization or Sale Partner
according to the Time & Material Pricing rule of the Seller.
•The remedie de cribed above are Purcha er' ole remedie in the event of any breach of the warranty
provided above.
•Con umable ( uch a lamp , du t filter , ...) are excluded from warranty.
•The warranty period of repair and pare part i 3 month , or at minimum the original warranty period of
the y tem.
•The eller doe no warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the in tallation
•The foregoing warranty i in lieu of all other warrantie , whether oral, written, expre , implied or tatutory.
No implied or tatutory warrantie of merchantability or fitne for a particular purpo e hall apply and all
warrantie , condition or other term implied by tatute or common law are hereby excluded.

Software warranty
The Seller make no warrantie with re pect to the oftware and technical information and, uch item are pro-
vided to the Purcha er on an "a -i " ba i without warranty of any kind, including the warrantie of merchant-
ability and fitne for a particular purpo e.
•The Purcha er acknowledge and agree that the oftware provided by the Seller to the Purcha er in an
unmodified form i de igned to operate with the hardware identified in the Certificate of In tallation and
Operation, provided (i) the hardware i unmodified and (ii) the oftware, a unmodified, operate in con-
junction with the proper computer equipment a de ignated in the Special Condition .
•The Purcha er agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmle the Seller from and again t all claim , liabili-
tie , lo e , damage and co t and expen e ari ing out of or re ulting from the combination or integration
of the hardware and/or oftware with any item of any kind not furni hed by the Seller.

Thi manual de cribe unpacking, in tallation, cabling and controlling of the monitor of Barco' LC erie .
The monitor of Barco' LC erie are ba ed on Super MVA TFT LCD technology and feature bright and wide im-
age with clear contra t.
The LCD panel have 1920x1080 pixel (HD re olution) to allow extreme fine picture at 16.7 million color .
The monitor provide a et of interface to connect any analog video and analog and digital RGB data .
All etting can ea ily be acce ed and modified by mean of the Infrared remote control unit and the
OnScreenDi play.

The monitor are available with a creen diagonal of 42" and 47".

1.3 Safety information

Safety standards
The afety tandard of information technology equipment impo e important requirement on the u e of afety
critical component , material and i olation, in order to protect the u er or operator again t the ri k of electric
hock and energy hazard, and having acce to live part .

Simulated ingle fault condition te ting en ure the afety of the equipment to the u e even when the equip-
ment’ normal operation fail .
General safety instructions
•All the afety and operating in truction hould be read before u ing thi unit.
•The operating in truction manual hould be retained for future reference.
•All warning on the device and in the documentation manual hould be adhered to.
•All in truction for operating and u e of thi equipment mu t be followed preci ely.
•All local in tallation code hould be adhered to.
nstallation and preliminary adjustments should be performed by qualified Barco
personnel or authorized Barco service dealers.
1.3.1 Safety on installation
Check the power rating on your outlet before connecting the devices to the wall outlet or
to a power strip. Contact your facilities manager or a qualified electrician if you are not
sure what type of power is supplied to your building.
The devices are designed to operate with single-phase power systems having a
grounded neutral conductor. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not plug into any
other type of power system.

Green-and-yellow: Earth ( afety earth)
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Line (live)

B. Power cord with NEMA 15-5 plug:
The wire of the power cord are colored in accordance with the following code:
Green or green/yellow: Ground
White or blue: Neutral
Black or brown: Line (live)
•Do not allow anything to re t on the power cord. Do not locate thi product where per on will walk on the
cord.
•To di connect the cord, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord it elf.
•If an exten ion cord i u ed with thi product, make ure that the total of the ampere rating on the product
plugged into the exten ion cord doe not exceed the exten ion cord ampere rating. Al o make ure that the
total of all product plugged into the wall outlet doe not exceed 15 ampere .
•Never pu h object of any kind into thi product through cabinet lot a they may touch dangerou voltage
point or hort out part that could re ult in a ri k of fire or electrical hock.
•Never pill liquid of any kind on the product. Should any liquid or olid object fall into the cabinet, unplug the
et and have it checked by qualified ervice per onnel before re uming operation .
•Lightning - For added protection for thi video product during a lightning torm, or when it i left unattended
and unu ed for long period of time, unplug it from the wall outlet. Thi will prevent damage to the monitor
due to lightning and AC power-line urge .
Warning: Do not place flammable or combu tible material near the monitor!
Transportation
•Any tran portation of the unopened unit in it packaging hould be done by two per on .
•In tran portation or torage of product in original packing, NEVER tack more than the number tated on the
carton box. Thi warning i al o indicated on the ide of the card box.
•For tran portation or torage, ob erve the warning and in truction on the ide of the card box.
Nearby equipment
If air conditioning duct or lamp , etc. are located near the in tallation ite, the attendant du t, extreme tem-
perature , humidity, and conden ation may become ource of trouble. Plea e take ufficient tep to avoid thi .

Protection against scratch.
Plea e be careful not to hit, pre or rub the creen urface with hard material like tool . In addition, plea e do
not put heavy or hard material on the creen urface, and do not tack monitor . Polarizer at the front urface
can be ea ily cratched.
Temperature dependence of the display.
Re pon e peed (optical re pon e) of the LCD di play i dependent on temperature. Under low temperature,
re pon e peed i lower. Al o brightne and chromaticity change lightly depend on temperature.
mage retention
Di playing the ame pattern for a long time may cau e image ticking, vertical dark line or other form of image
artifact . Thi i a common phenomenon of all LCD di play . It di appear after ome time if the pattern i
changed, or the monitor i witched off. However, image retention i not ubject of warranty.

Lightning conditions
Con ider exi ting lightning and unlight angle when creating the in tallation layout. Extremely bright lightning
can reduce the vi ibility and the quality of the di played image.
In extremely bright urrounding , adju ting creen inten ity may not re ult in perceptibly brighter image . Keep
in mind that extreme inten ity etting can reduce y tem ervice life.
Barco product are de igned and manufactured to meet the mo t tringent afety regulation . Expo ing flamma-
ble or combu tible material into clo e proximity of thi device could re ult in the pontaneou ignition of that
material, re ulting in a fire. For thi rea on, it i ab olutely nece ary to leave an "exclu ion zone" around all
external urface of the monitor whereby no flammable or combu tible material are pre ent. The exclu ion zone
mu t be not le than 10 cm (4"). Do not cover the monitor with any material while it i in operation.
Keep flammable and combu tible material away from the monitor at all time . Mount the monitor in a well
ventilated area away from ource of ignition and out of direct un light. Never expo e thi product to rain or
exce ive moi ture. In the event of fire, u e and, CO2, or dry powder fire extingui her ; never u e water on an
electrical fire.
Alway have ervice performed on thi product by authorized Barco ervice per onnel. Alway in i t on genuine
Barco replacement part . Never u e non-Barco replacement part a they may degrade the afety of thi device.
U e only the power cord upplied with your device. While appearing to be imilar, other power cord have not
been afety te ted at the factory and may not be u ed to power the di play. For a replacement power cord, con-
tact your dealer.
Slot and opening in the cabinet and the ide are provided for ventilation; to en ure reliable operation of the
device and to protect it from overheating, the e opening mu t not be blocked or covered. Thi product hould
never be placed near or over a radiator or heat regi ter. Thi product hould not be placed in a built-in in talla-
tion or enclo ure unle proper ventilation i provided.

1.3.2 Safety on ser icing

voltage potential and ri k of electric hock! Refer all monitor ervice to a qualified Barco ervice center.
Adju t only tho e control that are covered by the operating in truction ince improper adju tment of the other
control may re ult in damage and will often require exten ive work by a qualified technician to re tore the
product to normal operation.
Call for ervice in the following condition :
•When the power cord or plug i damaged or frayed.
•If liquid ha been pilled into the device.
•If the product ha been expo ed to rain or water.
•If the product doe not operate normally when the operating in truction are followed.
•If the product ha been dropped or the cabinet ha been damaged;
•If the product exhibit a di tinct change in performance, indicating a need for ervice.
Replacement parts
When replacement part are required, be ure the ervice technician ha u ed original Barco replacement part
or authorized replacement part which have the ame characteri tic a the Barco original part. Unauthorized
ub titution may re ult in degraded performance and reliability, fire, electric hock or other hazard . Unauthor-
ized ub titution may void warranty.
Safety check
Upon completion of any ervice or repair to thi unit, a k the ervice technician to perform afety check to
determine that the unit i in proper operating condition.
Protection
Plea e do not di a emble or modify the LCD module to avoid the po ibility of electric hock, damage of elec-
tronic component , cratch at di play urface and inva ion of foreign particle . In addition, uch activity may
re ult in fire accident due to burning of electronic component.
The LCD module disassembled or modified by customer is out of warranty.
Plea e be careful in handling of di play with broken gla . When the di play gla break , plea e pay attention
not to injure your finger . The di play urface ha the pla tic film attached, which prevent di per ion of gla
piece ; however touching broken edge will injure your finger . Al o the lamp (Cold Cathode Fluore cent Lamp) i
made of gla , therefore plea e pay attention in the ame way.
Plea e do not touch the fluid flown out of broken di play gla . If the fluid hould tick to hand or clothe , wipe
off with oap or alcohol immediately and then wa h it with water.
f the fluid should get in your eyes, wash your eyes immediately with pure water for more
than 15 minutes and then consult the doctor.
The lamp contains mercury inside. Please follow the regulations or rules established by
local authorities at its disposal..

Original shipping package
Save the original hipping packing material; they will come in handy if you ever have to hip one of your in-
talled module . For maximum protection, repack your et a it wa originally packed at the factory.

•Check that the voltage and frequency of your power upply match tho e printed on the device label with the
rated electrical value !
