It is use exclusively in combination with operating evices which satisfy the requirements
for Overvoltage Category I.
The POLARIS REMOTE series have been esigne specially for use in hazar ous
(potentially explosive) areas in Zone 2 or Zones 22.
It is essential to observe the permissible operational ata for the evice being use .

to people who:

1.5.1 General safety instructions

Take the evice out of the hazar ous area before wiping it with a ry cloth or
cleaning it!

Do not open evices in a hazar ous area.

The general statutory regulations or irectives relating to safety at work, acci ent
prevention an environmental protection legislation must be observe , e.g. the
German in ustrial health an safety or inance (BetrSichV) or the applicable
national or inances.

with (e.g. Directive 2014/34/EU an the national applicable or inances EN 60079-14 an
the DIN VDE 0100 series)!

Regular servicing is not necessary if the equipment is operate correctly in accor ance with
the installation instructions an environmental con itions. In this context, please refer to
Chapter "Maintenance, Inspection, Repair".

electrician to ensure that they are in a proper con ition.

Repairs on explosion-protecte operating equipment may be one only by authorise
persons working in accor ance with the latest evelopments in technology an using
original spare parts. The applicable regulations must be observe .
1.6.5 Commissioning
Before commissioning, check that all components an ocuments are there.
1.7 Ex protection type, certification and standards
Markings specifying Ex protection an certification are put on the evice. For Ex protection
markings, see chapter 4 "Technical Data ".
The POLARIS REMOTE series conform to Directive 2014/34/EU for evices an protective
systems for use to their inten e purpose in potentially explosive areas (ATEX Directive).

The ZeroClient is a workplace client with re uce configuration tasks an security risks.
The client protocol (RDP) containe in the ZeroClient is use for the interaction of the evice
with the external or company network. The ZeroClient oes not perform any processing
tasks itself, but enables remote access to an in ustrial server. Therefore, it is rea y for use
as elivere without any great work require on the part of the a ministrator. As the actual
ata processing is one by the in ustrial server, it is ensure that the ZeroClient is now able
to cope with its task ue to higher eman s.
Bartec’s ZeroClient solution is a comprehensive combination of operating system,
configuration tool (ZeroClient Control Center) an integrate user interface (ZeroClient
Shell).
Touchscreen an high quality keyboar s in ifferent national languages an ifferent
mouse versions exten the operating comfort.
The front-panel mounting esign makes installation easy. On request, the evices are also
available as a rea y-ma e system solution in a stainless steel enclosure for wall, floor or
table mounting.
