on operating and handling the device. Keep
these operating instructions for further
reference. Please pass it on along with the
unit if it is handed over to a third party.
1. Explanation of the symbols
The following symbols are used in the user
manual or on the product:
Warning! To reduce the risk of
injury, the user must read the
instruction manual.
Denotes risk of personal injury,
loss of life or damage to the tool in
case of non-observance of the
instructions in this manual.
Wear safety glasses. When work-
ing with electric power tools,
sparks, splinters, chips and dust
particles may be generated and
these can cause loss of sight.
Wear hearing protection when oper-
ating the device.
Wear safety gloves.
Wear sturdy shoes.
Do not expose to rain or water.
Keep persons always from the
working area of the device.
Caution! Thrown Objects!
Attention danger of drawing in!
Warning rotating parts!
Unplug from power mains before
undertaking maintenance work on
the device.
Keep the extension power cord
away from the device.
Do not operate the device if the
power cable is damaged.
Electric power tool, protection
class II. This sign symbolises that
this unit corresponds to Protection Class II.
CE stands for “Conformité
Européenne”, which means “In
accordance with EU Regulations”.
With the CE marking, the manufac-
turer conrms that this Electric tool
complies with the applicable Euro-
pean directives.
UKCA stands for: “UK Conformity
Assessment”. This means “Compli-
ant with UK regulations”. With the
UKCA mark manufacturer conrms
that this unit complies with the
applicable UK regulations.
Do not dispose of electric power
tools with domestic refuse.
2. General safety instructions for
power tools
WARNING! Read all safety warn-
ings, instructions, illustrations and
specications provided with this
power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below
may result in electric shock, re and/or
serious injury. The term “power tool” in the
warnings refers to your mains-operated
(corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.



3. Additional safety instructions
Please read this manual carefully
and use the unit only according to
this manual.
• Always keep all labels on the device
clean and readable.
• Only use the device for domestic pur-
poses and in the way indicated in this
manual. The device is not designed for
continuous, professional use.
• Persons with limited physical, sensorial
or mental abilities are not allowed to use
the device, unless they are supervised
and briefed for their safety by a qualied
person. Keep the device out of reach of
children.
• Never leave the device unsupervised
when in use.
• Please observe the corresponding
national regulations if you intend to use
the device on streets, paths, property etc.
• Do not operate the device while third
parties are in the danger zone.
• The device is intended to be operated on
tarmac and paved surfaces. Do not oper-
ate it on walls or ceiling.
• Ensure a safety distance to other per-
sons or animals while working.
• Never place your hands or feet towards
or under the rotating brush roller. Never
grasp into the rotating brush roller. Keep
your clothes away from the rotating
brush roller. Do not wear any loose cloth-
ing (e. g. scarf) during work.
• During operation
small stones or
other objects may
be thrown away violently. Wear solid
shoes and long trousers when operating
the device. Wear safety goggles. The
machine is capable of generating high
levels of noise. Wear hearing protection
when operating the device.
• Hold the device rmly with both hands
during operation.
• Only use the device in daylight or good
articial light. Never use it when the
visibility is bad.
• Do not use the device close to garden
ponds, swimming pools or other bodies
of water. Do not expose the device to rain
or excessively humidity.
• Please take care that the brush roller
does not jam during operation. A long-
term jam can damage the device. If the
rotating brush roller is blocked by an
obstacle, immediately release the ON/
OFF trigger, disconnect the power cord
and free the brush roller.
• Always be aware of the position of the
power cable. Do not trip over the cable
and make sure the power cable cannot
