AQ-TRON® HYBRID Inverter Introducon
The AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter is used in a PV system with bery storage.
The energy produced by the PV system will be opmized for maximum self-consumpon.
The AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter can operate in auto or me-of-use (TOU) mode, charging/discharging the ery as
needed. In auto mode, the inverter charges the excess PV energy in the ry and discharges the ry to supply
power to the local load when the PV energy ient.
In case of power failure, the AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter can operate in emergency power supply (EPS) mode. The AQ-
TRON® HYBRID inverter will use power from the PV panels and energy stored in the baery to power the crical load.

Safety regulaons
Make sure you read and understand this manual before install AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter strictly complies
with safety regin design and tesg. During installon and maintenance, users must comply with
local safety regmproper opern may cause electric shock or damage to equipment and property.
2.1
Safety regulaons
Electrical installaon and maintenance must be performed by qualied electricians according to local
regulaons.
The AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter must be installed only by qualied electricians, and only those with the
appropriate acon as required by local authories.
DO NOT place explosivemmable materials such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, oil, wood paste,
on or rags near teries or the AQ-TRON® HYBRID Inverter.
First disconnect the AC conneen disconnect the connec betwry and PV (PV1&PV2),
then wait at least 5 minutes (discharge capacitors) before performing maintenance to avoid electric shock.
The inverter must be completely disconnected (BAT, PV & AC) during maintenance.
The inverter may become very hot during o. Turn the inverter and wait for the inverter to
cool down before performing maintenance.
Keep children away from baies and AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter.
It is NOT permi to open the front cover of the AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter. This will void the product
warranty.
AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter damaged due to improper install/operaNOT covered by the
product warranty.
2.2
Installaon and maintenance Remarks
The ba more than 60% charged before delivery and must be protected from short circuits
during transportaon and install
The inverter/bies should be placed in a well-veed place. Do not place the inverter/baies in an
air or poorly veed room or cabinet. This can be very detrimental to the performance and life of the
system.
Keep the inverter/baies away from direct sunlight. Do not put AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter/baeries close to
an ovene. It may cause y to leak even to explode.
The current capacity of DC cables (from baery to inverter) should be at least 90 A. Use short DC cables to
avoid high voltage drop and current loss.
Use a mulmeter to check baltage and polarity before turning on the bies. Make sure the
ons are correct according to this manual.
Use a mulmeter to check the PV voltage and polarity before turning on the PV isolator. Make sure the
ons are correct according to this manual.
If you want to store the eries without using them, they should be disconnected from the inverter and
stored in a cool, dry and venlated environment.
y maintenance operators must have the knowledge and technical skill for bery maintenance;

All bies connected in parallel must be of the same model and have the same rmware version. This is a
design issue that must be considered by the designer/installer, especially when replacing baies or
modifying an exisng energy storage system.
AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter has no transformer, therefore the posive pole and the nve pole of the PV
generator are NOT grounded. Otherwise, this will cause inverter failure. In the PV system, all non current-
carrying metal parts (such as: PV module frame, PV rack, combiner box housing, inverter housing) should
be connected to ground.
Warning: follow the following rules when installing/maintaining the bery.
A.
Ta your watch, ring and other metal objects.
B.
Use only tools with insulated handles.
C.
Wear rubber gloves and shoes.
D.
Do not place tools or metals above the bery.
E.
Turn othe AQ-TRON® HYBRID invertereries before conneonnecng the ry
terminals.
F.
The posive/nve poles of the baery must be isolated from ground.
2.3
Symbols on the inverter
On the inverter there are some symbols related to safety. Please read and understand the contents of the
symbols before installing the system.
This symbol indicates a hazardous situa that could result in injury if not avoided.
Risk of electric shock and wait at least 5 minr turning othe inverter.
Beware of high voltage and electric shock.
Beware of hot surfaces.
Meet Conformity Europeanness (CE) cercaon.

CT / CAN / RS485 / NTC connecon
For single-phase setup, a CT (current transformer) is installed. This is described in steps 1 to 5 below
For three-phase setup, NO CT may be installed but a CHINT power meter may be installed. Steps 1 to
5 are not performed but do follow the steps of secon 5
CT (current transformer) can measure the value and direcon of alternang current. Refer to Fig. 11 for the
proper connecon of CTa.

Crical load connecon (EPS funcon )
Cri load: if the grid fails and the EPS funcn is enabled, the inverter operates in EPS (emergency power) mode and
uses the PV power and the energy stored in the ry to supply power to the crical load via the connecon port LOAD.
LOAD connecon port is for connecriloads only. The power r crical loads must be less than
3000VA. The connec procedure of LOAD port is the same as that of mains connec 14). The shape of the
AC voltage does not exhibit an exact sine wave, Ba Supplies is not responsible if certain connected devices do
not work due to an abnormal wave.
Change posions
CAUTION
The changeover switch is necessary.
Make sure the changeover switch is in posion 0 while checking/repairing the cri
load.
When checking/repairing the AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter, make sure that the
inverter switch is in posion 0 and that the AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter is
disconnected from the grid.
Under normal condions: inverter is set to posion 1. AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter can supply power to
crical load in case of power failure.

Connecng an AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter in a three-
phase grid
5.1
Principle
The AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter can also be used in a three-phase grid (both 3x400V and 3x240V). In this
case a CHINT three-phase meter is required, it replaces the mono-phase current transformer.
The AQ-TRON® HYBRID inverter then works with phase compensaon: although it is connected to one phase, it
will try to bring the SOM of all currents of all phases to zero as much as possible.
5.2
Setup
1. Place the chint 3-phase energy meter DTSU666 (BAT/50798) between the loss current switch and the
general low voltage board. Connect the cables from the loss current switch to terminals 3/6/9/10.
From terminals 1/4/7/10, the cables leave to the ALSB. CAUTION! The current sense in the Chint
energy meter determines correct operaon of the system.
