and injury when correctly adhered to.

to the next owner of the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using
an electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Voltage: Make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
voltage stated on the appliance rating label and your outlet socket is earthed.
• Do not immerse: Never immerse the device in water or other liquid.
• Water: Avoid contact with water spray, dripping water and other liquids. Never
operate the device near water. Do not place any objects filled with liquids such as a
vase or glass with water near the device.
• Damage: In case of damage, do not disassemble, repair or modify the unit yourself.
Contact our after sales support line for advice on repair or replacement, or refer
servicing to qualified personnel only.
• Repair: Do not open the housing of the power adaptor, it contains no serviceable
parts. By opening the housing you endanger your life through risk of electric shock.
• Lightning storms: Before stormy weather, when there is the danger of lightning,
disconnect the device from the power supply.
• Disconnection
(a) The On/Off switch at the back of the cradle does not fully disconnect the device
from the mains power supply. Furthermore, the device consumes electricity in
standby mode. In order to completely disconnect the device from the mains,
unplug the power adaptor from the wall outlet. For this reason, always position
the cradle in a way that assures unobstructed access to the wall outlet so that
the plug can be immediately pulled out in an emergency situation.
(b) To avoid the danger of fire if the device is not going to be used for a long while
(for example, during holidays), always disconnect the device from the power
socket.
(c) When disconnecting the power adaptor, always grip the plug, do not pull on the
cord.
