Remote Control (Cont.)
Installing Batteries
Press down the retaining catch at the back of the remote control and take off the
cover to the battery compartment. Insert two AAA batteries into the recess, following
the markings inside the compartment. Put back the cover of the battery compartment
and push in gently until it clicks securely into place.
Using the Remote Control
Point the remote control directly towards the remote control sensor at the front of the
projector. The remote control has a range of up to 6 metres from the projector at an
angle of up to 30 degrees.
The remote control will not operate if its path is blocked. Make sure there are no any
obstacles between the projector and the remote control.
If the projector does not work when using the remote control from a close range, you
need to replace the batteries.
NOTE:
• Only use fresh batteries of the required size and type. Old batteries will decrease the
sensitivity of the remote control.
• Do not leave the remote control exposed to sunlight or very bright light, as this will
decrease its sensitivity. Do not leave it in very hot or humid conditions.
• Do not drop, apply shock or step on the remote control. Do not spill water on the unit.
• If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period of time,
remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion.
Battery Precautions
• CAUTION: Danger of explosion! Make sure to insert the batteries correctly and use
only suitable batteries of the same type.
• Replacement: Always replace both batteries at the same time. Never mix old and
new batteries, different types of battery (alkaline, zinc carbon or rechargeable), or
rechargeable batteries of different capacities. Mixing different types of battery could
cause leakage or rupture.
• Handling: Do not attempt to short-circuit, disassemble or throw batteries into a fire.
• Charging: Note that there are chargeable and nonchargeable batteries. Do not
attempt to charge nonchargeable batteries.
• Storage: Keep batteries out of children’s sight and reach.
• Disposal: Dispose of batteries promptly and properly, observing any local
hazardous waste regulations. Do not burn or bury them.

General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for future
reference, along with the warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. The safety
precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when
correctly adhered to. Follow all instructions and take notice of all warnings to reduce
the risk of fire or electric shock.
Important Warnings and Cautions!
• To prevent contact with high voltage components
inside, do not attempt to open the cover or the back of
this product. There are no user-serviceable parts inside
this product.
• Do not repair the unit yourself. Only have it serviced by
qualified personnel.
• Do not expose this product to water, rain, moisture or
dust. Do not use it anywhere near water or where water
splashes or drips; do not touch the power plug with
wet hands.
Electrical Safety and Cord Handling
• Voltage: Before installing this appliance, make sure your outlet voltage corresponds
to the voltage stated on the appliance rating label.
• Power cord: Only use this appliance with the cord and plug supplied, and do not
overload the power outlet.
• Protect the power cord: Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter, or touch any hot surface. Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the
power cord. Run any cords so that no one steps on or trips over them. Do not run
the cord near heat-producing appliances such as radiators, stoves or irons, as the
excessive heat could melt the insulation and expose live wires.
• Damaged cord: When the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or similarly qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard. Contact our
after sales support line in order to avoid a hazard.
• Earthing plug: The power cord of the projector is equipped with an earthing plug.
Ensure your electrical outlet is properly earthed to the ground. If unsure, consult a
qualified electrician or a service representative. Do not, under any circumstances,
cut or remove the third grounding prong from the power plug.
• Disconnect: Unplug the unit from the power outlet after use to avoid possible
damage during electrical storms, or when the equipment will be unattended
or unused for a long period of time. Always grasp the plug, not the cord, when
disconnecting the unit. Pulling the cord can damage the internal wires and may
cause a fire.

Standard Setting (Front Projection)
• Place the projector on a stable surface and make sure that nothing is blocking
the ventilation openings at the front, back, sides and underneath the appliance.
Keep a distance of at least 30cm to any object that could potentially obstruct
ventilation.
• Place the projector at the distance appropriate for the screen size, as listed in the
table below:
Screen
Dimension
(Diagonal)
Screen Ratio
16 : 9
Screen Ratio
4 : 3
63" 2.2m 2.5m
72" 2.4m 2.75m
86" 2.9m 3.28m
100" 3.3m 3.75m
120" 3.9m 4.5m
NOTE: The data may have 3% error, due to the image size according to the projector
and screen. If the distance is less than 2m or more than 5m, the image may
appear unclear.
NOTE
Please check the following pictures for keystone distortion and turn the keystone
correction knob to obtain the rectangular picture.

Getting Started (Cont.)
Installation Method
• Contact a professional service technician to mount this projector to a ceiling.
Follow the instruction below for the correct projector positions.
WARNING!
• This projector might get damaged beyond repair when it is incorrectly mounted
on a ceiling, or incorrectly installed on a surface, or installed on an inappropriate
surface. It may also inflict damage to people nearby.
• This projector can only be used in an environment with a temperature not
exceeding the range of 0-35°C. The projector may malfunction if temperatures
vary outside the normal operating rage.
• Ensure there is sufficient ventilation around the projector, otherwise this projector
might overheat, which could be hazardous.
• If the projector interior temperature gets too hot, the machine will shut off auto-
matically to protect the projector from overheating. To ensure it works properly,
ensure to clean the front filter of the projector regularly, as required (see page 19).
• The sharpness of the screen might be affected when the projector is being used
in a brightly-lit, dusty, wet, humid or smoke-filled environment.
• When you use the projector for the first time, it may project an unclear image.
Please refer to the image adjustment section (page 11) for help.

Basic Operations
Switchon/switcho
Make sure the remote control has two AAA size batteries correctly installed.
• Switch the POWER switch at the back of the projector to the ON position. The
power indicator light will turn red.
• Press the POWER button on the remote control (or on the control panel at the top
of the projector). The indicator light will turn green.
• About two seconds after switching on, the projector lamp will start working.
• During use, pressing the POWER button (on the remote control or on the top
control panel) will switch the projector to standby mode. The indicator light will
turn red. The fan will may be operating for up to 5 minutes in order to cool the
system. It will eventually switch off.
• When you have finished using the projector, press the POWER button at the back
of the unit before disconnecting it from the power supply.
Image Adjustment
When using the projector for the first time, the image may appear faint or it may be
trapezoid. To correct this, adjust the lens focus or correct keystone distortion.
Focus adjustment
Rotate the lens into the projector, then rotate it out slowly. At the same time, carefully
look at the resolution point. Stop rotating the lens when the image is clear.
NOTE: Make sure to stop rotating the lens when you feel it cannot rotate anymore,
otherwise it may break.
Keystone correction
If a projected picture has keystone distortion, correct the image with the keystone
correction knob (see below). The image becomes trapezoid shape when the screen or
projector is not levelled. In such a case, reposition the projector to improve its angle to
the screen. However, the circumference of the image may not be focused.
FAN OPERATION
Fans inside the projector switch on and off automatically to regulate the temperature
inside the appliance. When the projector is working, the fans rotate at different
speeds, so the fan noise can vary, which is normal. When the projector is working,
do not pull out the power cable. If the fans suddenly stop working, the projector
interior temperature may remain very high, which could damage the projector.
