oOn the maximum settin s (position <5>), your frid e will work
harder to maintain a lower temperature and will increase the
ener y usa e. There is no need to run your appliance on this
settin for prolon ed periods and you should return the
thermostat knob to between <3> to <4>.
Arranging and st ring f d in the freezer
oThe freezer should be used for freezin fresh foods and for
storin frozen foods for the period of time indicated on the
packa in and for makin ice cubes.
oFor freezin fresh food, wrap and seal fresh food properly. The
packa in should be air ti ht and should not leak. Special
freezer ba s, aluminium foil (heavy rade or double wrap),
polythene ba s and plastic containers are ideal.
oThe maximum amount of fresh food that can be frozen in 24
hours is 9 k .
oFor optimum appliance performance and to reach maximum
freezin capacity, turn the thermostat dial to the <5> position
when placin fresh food in the freezer.
oAfter placin fresh food in the freezer, 24 hours on settin <5>
is enerally sufficient. After 24 hours you should turn the
thermostat back to its normal position.
oIMPORTANT: In order to save energy, when freezing small
amounts of food, setting <5> is not necessary
oDo not allow the fresh food to be frozen to come into contact
with the already frozen food.
oAlways mark the date and content on the pack and do not
exceed the stated stora e time.
oIn case of power failure or malfunction, the freezer compartment
will maintain a sufficiently low temperature for food stora e for
approximately 18 hours. However, avoid openin the freezer
door to slow down the temperature rise within the freezer
compartment.
oNever place warm food into the freezer compartment.
oWhen purchasin and storin frozen food products, ensure that
the packa in is not dama ed.
