published specifications. Any application
beyond these specifications or any unauthorized
user modifications may result in hazards or
improper operation.
CAUTION - CLEANING
Do not immerse. The DA-2006-VL should be
cleaned by wiping gently with a damp, lint-free
cloth.
A mild detergent can be used if desired.

iii
CAUTION - ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to environmental conditions outside
the specifications can adversely affect the
performance and accuracy of the DA-2006-VL. If
the unit is outside the Operating Specifications,
allow it to acclimate to specified conditions for at
least 30 minutes before attempting to operate it.
CAUTION - AC ADAPTOR
Unplug the AC Adaptor before
cleaning the surface of the DA-2006 Series
Analyzers.
CAUTION - SERVICE
The DA-2006-VL is intended to be serviced only
by authorized service personnel.
Troubleshooting and service procedures should
only be performed by qualified technical
personnel.
CAUTION - INSPECTION
The DA-2006-VL should be
inspected before each use for wear and should
be serviced if any parts are in question.
NOTICE – INDICATIONS FOR USE
The DA-2006-VL is used to determine that
defibrillators are performing within their
performance specifications by providing multiple
loads of 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200
Ohms. The DA-2006-VL is used in conjunction
with the DA-2006/DA-2006P.

Connecting to a DA-2006 series analyzer
This unit is connected to the DA-2006 series analyzer through three included cables,
BC20-00139. The two black jumper cables run from the Sternum/Apex jacks on the top of
the DA-2006-VL to the corresponding defib plates on the DA-2006 Series Analyzer as
shown below. The Communication cable runs from the Mini-din connector on the top of the
DA-2006-VL to the printer port on the rear of the DA-2006 Series Analyzer.
Once connected, the display on the DA-2006 Series Analyzer will show the current variable
load setting corresponding to the dial on the side of the DA-2006-VL
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
