This machine is fitted with "PLUTO 1" hardware and must be connected to an earthed
mains socket.
All mechanical meters are secured with an alarm to prevent fraud.
The coin mechanism has a "COIN CONTROLS" electronic acceptor, which accepts 20
and 50 Franc coins and Tokens. The acceptor can be programmed to accept any
Token. The Tokens are routed to the "COIN CONTROLS" solenoid.

INSTALLATION
CAUTION
DO NOT APPLY line voltage until the following checks have been performed:
Check that all connectors and plugs are in place and firmly connected;
Check that the internal option switches are in the desired positions;
Wire the Mains Plug supplied with the machine to a Three-Core Cable and 3 Pin Plug.
THIS MACHINE MUST BE EARTHED.
Adjust volume to correct level for site application.
(The volume control is in TEST 1).

GAME
DESCRIPTION
LUCKY FIVE is a game of skill which is based on the Black Jack cardgame. The
machine has a deck of cards represented by the cardreel. After each spin the next
Gard will be shown. This card must be placed on one of the 5 hands with the hand
buttons 1 to 5. The machine disables the hand(s) which can go over 21. Also the
machine counts all card values together and shows it on the score display. The
counting is as fol!ows:

Also there is a Joker, which when placed on any of the Hands, will automatically
take that Hand to 21.
When a total of 101 or higher is reached, the player can stick by pressing the
stick button, and the win is paid out in tokens. Each score value has it's own win:

When the player has less than 101 and he cannot put the card on a hand without
exceeding 21, the player is busted and the game ends however.
TOKEN PROGRAMMING
To program a new Token into the coin mech, the following should be carried out:
SET ROTARY SWITCH TO POSITION "F'
PRESS PROGRAM BUTTON
FEED IN TOKENS (MINIMUM 20 TOKENS)
TURN ROTARY SWITCH TO POSITION ‘C'
PRESS PROGRAM BUTTON.

TEST
ROUTINES
GAMETEST
When the backdoor is opened, the machine will restart and give 100BFR on the credit
display.
TEST PROCEDURE
Test is entered via switch 1 on bank 1 of main board when it is switched to the othe
r
position. Now the display shows which test is selected. By pressing the stick button you
go to the next test. The test is entered by pressing the start button. Press the stick
button again to exit a test. .
TEST 1: VOLUME SETUP
This test allows you to setup the volume level of the machine. If the start button is
pressed, a repeated tune will sound. By pressing hand 1 button the volume will be
decreased. By pressing the hand 2 button the volume will be increased.
TEST 2: LAMP TEST
This test allows you to test each lamp separately or by groups. AII the lamps are
connected in a so called "diode matrix" with 8 sources (0 to 7) and 16 sinks (0 to 15). If
the start button is pressed, the display will show: SOURCE 00 SINK 00.
Pressing hand button 1 changes the source line (0 tlm 7).
Pressing hand button 2 lights an entire source line.
Pressing hand button 3 changes the sink line (0 tlm 15)
Pressing hand button 4 topglass I buttons light up
Pressing hand button 5 each lamp lights up in a logicalorder.
Pressing the change button will light up all the lamps behind the glass.
If pressed again ,all the button lamps will light up.
Pressing the ticket button will activate the logical lamp step mode.
A list of all the lamps with their source I sink combinations is included in the back of this
manual.
TEST 3: LED TEST
If the start button is pressed, all led segments will flash on and off.
If the stick button is pressed, each led unit is tested individually.
If the stick button is pressed again, each segment is tested individually.

TEST 4: METER TEST
By pressing the start button the following meters will be pulsed once:
total-in meter
total-out meter
total-refill meter
total-play meter
TEST 5: REEL TEST
This test will spin the reel to the 1st position (ACE), and by pressing hand button 1 you
can step the reel and check the position on the display.
TEST 6: DIL TEST
This test shows the current dil-switch positions on the display.
If the stick button is pressed the percentage is displayed.
TEST 7: SWITCH TEST

When a switch is pressed, a sound is made and a lamp will come on:

TEST 8: PAYOUT TEST
If hand 1 is pressed, the solenoid will try to payout 1 token.
TEST 9: LOCKOUT TEST
If start button is pressed, the display will show : 'COIN ON', which means that the coins
will be accepted. By pressing the start button again, the display will show : 'COIN OFF'
which means that the coins will be rejected.

TEST 10: ERROR CODES
You can trace up to 20 errors that have occurred in the past. The most recent error code
will be shown first (number 1). If the code is 0 then there were no errors. Step through the
error codes by pressing the start button.
A list of all the error codes is in the back of this manual.
If the stick button is pressed and if there were error codes in the list, the machine will ask:
CLEAR CODES?
If you want to clear all error codes just press the hand buttons in this sequence :
HAND 1, HAND 2 and HAND 3.

number on the display.

In order to help service engineers, the errors are listed in test 11.
This test will display the error codes as fellows:
Error + code as 1 number
Example: COIN ERROR 2 will be shown as: 12
TEST 11: CHANGE NAME
You can change the name which is shown during the attract mode.
With this test you can set your own favourite text in the machine.
The following buttons are used:
HAND 1 and HAND 2:
HAND 3 and CHANGE:
change cursor position (Ieft / right)
change character (down/up)

BOOKKEEPING
This machine is equipped with an electronic bookkeeping system.
To view these meters just turn the right key and the display will show : METERS
By pressing the start button you can step through all the meters, showing you the meter
name and the meter contents.
By pressing the stick button instead, the text will be replaced by a number (if you do not
want to see the meter text).

If the key is turned back, the machine will ask : CLEAR METER ?
Now you can clear all the meters by pressing the hand buttons in this sequence:
HAND 1, HAND 2 and HAND 3.
REFILL
When the hopper is (or becomes) empty, the machine will lock-up in refill mode and will
wait until the refill key is turned (left key). Now you can introduce tokens into the coin
acceptor and all the tokens will be metered on a special refill meter. Also the tokens are
counted on the display.
RAM CLEAR
The RAM-clear procedure will be achieved if dil-switch 1 of bank 2 toggled. The machine
will now ask: CLEAR RAM?
Now you can clear the memory by pressing the hand buttons in this sequence:
HAND 1, HAND 2 and HAND 3.

If at some point the machine is sparked, the alpha display will become corrupted.
However you are able to play the game, although the total points are not visible. This will
correct itself on the next game.
