The microphone cap may be useful to reduce incoming wind noise by moving the
wind away from the microphone, providing clearer voice audio sound.

SMH10 Powering ON/OFF
Powering On:
Press and hold the Jog Dial and the Phone Button at the same time for about two second to power on. The
blue LED turns on and you will hear ascending beeps.
Powering Off:
Press and hold the Jog Dial and Phone Button at the same time for one second to power off. The red LED
turns on for a while until it turns off completely and you will hear descending beeps.
Jog Dial
• Answer and end a mobile phone call
• Reject an incoming mobile phone call
• Start and end intercom conversation
• Volume adjustment by rotating
• Play and pause Bluetooth stereo device
• Track-forward and track-back by rotating while pressing the button
• Enter into intercom pairing mode
• Enter into voice conguration setting
• Navigate through conguration menu

• Call transfer between mobile phone and headset
• Enter into mobile phone pairing mode

SMH10 Intercom Pairing
The SMH10 can be paired with another SMH10 headset for Bluetooth intercom conversation.
1. Turn on both SMH10 headsets.
2. Press and hold the Jog Dial on both the SHM10 headsets until the red LED starts to ash rapidly
on both headsets.
3. Tap the Jog Dial on *only one* of the SMH10 to start the pairing process. When paired the LEDs on both
SMH10 headsets turn to ashing blue and intercom connection is established automatically.
4. The two SMH10 headsets are now paired with each other for intercom conversation.
How to initiate a two way intercom
Initiate: You can start an intercom conversation with another friend by single tapping the Jog Dial.
Terminate: To terminate an intercom, single tap the Jog Dial.

SHM10 Pairing with Smartphone
Pairing your Smartphone with the SMH10 allows you to take mobile calls from your phone or listen to music.
1. Turn on the SMH10 headset.
2. Press and hold the Phone button on the SMH10 for 5 seconds until the LED ashes red and blue alternately.
3. On your Smartphone turn Bluetooth on (Settings > General > Bluetooth). The smartphone will begin to search for
devices. Wait for the smartphone to detect the SMH10.
4. When Sena SMH10 appears on the list, tap on it to start the pairing process.
5. Your SMH10 is now paired with the Smartphone.
Note: If prompted for a pass key, enter 0000.
MOBILE PHONE CALL MAKING AND ANSWERING
1. When you have an incoming call, simply tap the Phone Button or the Jog Dial to answer the call.
2. You can also answer the incoming call by loudly speaking any word of your choice if Voice Activated Phone
Answering is enabled.
3. To end a call, tap the Phone Button or press the Jog Dial for 2 seconds until you hear a beep, or wait for the
called person to end the call.
4. To reject a call, press the Jog Dial for 2 seconds until you hear a beep while the phone is ringing.
5. To transfer a call between the mobile phone and the headset during the phone conversation, press the Phone
Button for 2 seconds until you hear a beep.
6. There are several ways to make a phone call:
• Enter numbers on your mobile phone keypad and make a call. Then the call is automatically transferred to the headset.
• For some older mobile phones which do not automatically transfer calls to the headset, press the Phone Button after
entering phone numbers on the mobile phone keypad.
• Tap the Phone Button in stand-by mode to activate the voice dialing of your mobile phone. For this, the voice
dialing feature must be available on the mobile phone. Refer to your mobile phone manual for further instruction.
• To redial the last number, double tap the Phone Button in stand-by mode. You will hear a voice prompt
saying “Last number redial”.

SMH10 Pairing with GPS
In this example a zumo 660 is used to pair with the SMH10.
1. Turn on the SMH10 by holding the Phone button and Jog Dial.
2. Press and hold the Phone button on the SMH10 for 5 seconds until the LED starts to ash red and blue rapidly.
3. Turn the zumo/GPS on. Go to Tools > Settings > Bluetooth
4. Tap Add/Change under Audio to start searching for Bluetooth devices.
5. Select Sena SMH10 from the list to start the pairing process.
6. Your SMH10 is now paired with the GPS.
Note: Some users prefer to pair their phone with the GPS and the GPS to the headset. This way they can use
the GPS to see who is calling them. You can also use the GPS to dial out. The GPS model has to be designed
for a motorcycle like the zumo.
SM10 Bluetooth Transmitter
The SM10 is a Bluetooth transmitter that streams stereo audio to two different headsets simultaneously. The SM10
uses the A2DP channel to stream high quality stereo audio.
The SM10 has two input ports:
• Audio In
• AUX port
Sena also provides an optional cable to connect the SM10 to onboard audio systems:
• Honda Gold Wing (5-pin DIN)
• Harley Davidson Ultra Classic (7-pin DIN)
BRP Provides an optional wiring kit for their Can-Am Spyder model to connect to the SM10

Pairing the SM10 to two SMH10 headsets
Pairing the First SMH10 headset
1. Turn on the SMH10 (First).
2. Hold down the SMH10’s Phone Button for 5 seconds until the Red and Blue LED ashes alternately.
3. Turn on the SM10.
4. Hold down the SM10’s Pairing Button for 5 seconds until the Blue LED starts to ash rapidly.
5. Wait a few seconds for the pairing process.
6. When pairing is completed, the Blue LED on the SM10 will ash every 2 seconds.
Pairing the Second SMH10 headset
1. Turn on the SMH10 (Second)
2. Hold the down the SMH10’s Phone Button for 5 seconds until the Red and Blue LED ashes alternately.
3. Turn on the SM10
4. Hold down the SM10’s Pairing Button for 9 seconds until the Red LED starts to ash rapidly.
5. Wait for a few seconds for the pairing process.
6. When pairing is completed, the SM10’s Red and Blue LED will ash every 2 seconds.
