Introduction
The Benchmark Vornado™ Mini Vortex Mixer is a compact yet powerful
vortex mixer designed to accommodate tubes of varying sizes, from 0.4ml
to 50ml. Dynamic balance technology provides smooth speed control,
quiet operation and minimal excess vibration. The Vornado is available in
five different head colors - gray, blue, green, purple and red.
Please read this manual thoroughly before attempting to operate the
Vornado Vortex Mixer.

II. Product Set-Up
Remove the vortexer from the box. Keep all packing materials until
the unit is shown to be in good working order. Check that the
appropriate power cord has been received. If the included power
cord does not match the local requirements, contact your Benchmark
dealer.
Place the vortexer on a clean, stable surface and connect the power
cord to the appropriate electrical outlet.

III. Product Operation
The vortexer works by "TOUCH" control - pressing down on the cup head
will start operation. Releasing pressure will stop operation. To vortex a
tube, hold the tube with its lower end in the cupped head. Press down to
activate the mixing action. When finished, lift the tube upward.
IV. Care and Maintenance
The vortexer is an electrical instrument and care must be taken in its
handling. Clean any spills immediately. Keep the unit clean by wiping
with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water. Avoid the use
of organic solvents as these may damage both the rubber head and ABS
housing. Do not subject the vortexer to temperatures outside its
recommended operating range.

included, unique COMBI-Rotor™ is all that is required for spinning 12
microtubes and 4 PCR strips simultaneously.
With a fixed speed of 5,500rpm/2,000 xg, this centrifuge
is perfect for quick spin downs. Simply close the lid and the unit quickly
accelerates to maximum speed. Opening the lid activates the braking
system and quickly stops the rotor.
