POS, etc.Thus, moreand moredevicesneed tobe abletodo wireless communication.
Withthisbackground,Sky microwaveCorp.developsitsMOD9001 BENQGSM/GPRS
Modem.Usersofthisproductcan add wireless communication capabilityeasilytotheirown
products, and then, develop manyapplications.
The MOD9001 BENQGSM/GPRSModemmostlyfitsthe needofdatatransfer,with
SMS datacommunication,GPRSdatanavigation,CircuitSwitch/DataConnectivity,TCP/IP
protocol etc.Becausethe easysettingup inSCM(SingleChipMicyoco),itisconvenientfor
network datacommunication.The MOD9001 BENQGSM/GPRSModemwithsmallsize,
whichfitsbothembedded application and externalperipheralequipment. The ATcommand
set and RS232 interfacewill offereasydataconnection without anyextracircuit control.
Traditionally, the aboveapplicationsusedigitalcellular,CDPDorotherwire-line modemto
do communication,and thesetechnologiesareofthe disadvantagesofhigh communication
expense,limitedcommunication range,dialbeforecommunications,etc.When webeginto
useMOD9001 BENQ GSM/GPRSModem, all theseproblemsdisappeared.

5.Installation
a)Open the package boxand takethe GSM MODEMout，check allcomponentswithin
the package boxaccording tothe packing list
b)Removethe GSMmodem’sback-coverwithascrewdriver, open the SIMcardholder,
insertinavalidSIMCardprovided byGSM network operatororserviceprovider.
Choicethe serialportoutputvoltage byproperlysetthe jumps.Then,fixthe
back-overback.
c) Fixthe GSM-MODEM toaproperlocation and connect the antenna toitsinterface.
d)Fixthe dataline tothe GSMMODEM side first, and then,connectthe otherside to
user’sequipment’sdataport.
e) Connectthe GSM-MODEMpowersupplyinterfacewiththe poweradapter’soutput
jack, and then connect the adaptertoitspowersupplysource.
Make surethatall connectionsarecorrectandproper,then,turnon
power.

Then connectBENQModemwithcomputerbyRS232portand powersupply.When
the Red lightisflash,Moduleiswork property.You can inputword “AT”then press
“Enter”key,itshouldbe responseword “OK”meanswork property. All themodule
commandsare executed bypressing Enter”key.
