ØMake sure that onlypersonswho have read and
understood the contentsof thismanualuse the
device.
Childrenorotherpersonswith impaired mentalor
sensory abilitiesshould not be permittedto use the
device unsupervised.
ØInclude thismanualif youpass the device on.
Basic safety instructions
Thissection containsthe basicsafetyinstructionsfor
handling the device.Additionalsafetyinstructions,
concerning the particularactionsand processes, can

§Take note of allsafetyinstructionsand danger
noticesin thismanual.
§Check the deviceandall itspartsforvisible
damage. In the event of damage, contact your
dealerorberbelcustomerservice. You mayonly
use thedeviceifitisinperfect working order.
§Always let qualified specialist personnelconduct
maintenanceorrepairwork. Otherwise, you
endangeryourselfandothers.
§Onlyuse thisdevice in private kitchens.
§Use thisdeviceonlywhen the capillary trap isfitted
and withthelowersection closed.
§Make sure that thereare no unsupervised children
in the vicinityof the deviceand that theydo not play
with it.
Safetyinstructions for the user

Avoiding dangerscausedbyelectricshock
§Do not use the device with a damaged electrical
connection cable.
§The mainsplug must beeasilyaccessible so that
you can quicklyand easilyisolatethedevicefrom
the mainssupplyintheevent of an emergency. If
the mainsplug isinaccessiblefollowing installation,
an all-pole isolatingdevicewith a contact gap ofat
least3 mm mustbe installed and accessible.
§In the event of a malfunction, disconnect the device
immediatelyfromthemains. Onlyallow trained
specialist personnelto repairthe device.
§Do not kinkorcrush the mainscable.
§Onlyuse the deviceif it isconnected and fused in
accordance with the technicaldata.
§Neveropen the housing ofthe device'sfan unit.
§Keep the device dry.
§Avoidexposing the deviceto dripping orsplashing
waterorotherfluids.
§Do not place anyobjectsfilled with fluids,like vases
forexample, above the device oron the device.
If fluiddoesenterthe device:
-Immediatelyshut off the powersupply
byremoving the fuse, forexample.-
Make sure that the powersupply
of the device cannot be unintentionally
reconnected. Perhapsbydesignating apersonto
prevent the fuse being switched on again.
-Allow the device to dry.
-Have thedevice checked and repaired bytrained,
specialist personnelpriortousingthedevice
again.
