Display Interface + Button Definition
Normal Operation
Power On/Off
Press and hold the POWER button to turn on the display. With the display turned on
press and hold the POWER button again to turn it off.
Assist Level Operation
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the assist levels. The lowest level is 1,
highest level is 9 –the number of levels can be changed in the advanced settings. Level
0 means no motor assistance.
Display Speed and Mileage Mode Switch
Press the POWER button to toggle between different information being shown on the
display. This changes in the following order: AVG SPEED →MAX SPEED→TRIP→
ODO→TIME.
*If there is no operation for 5 seconds display will return to Real Time speed
automatically.

Headlight/Display Backlight Operation
Press and hold the UP button to turn on the headlight and display backlight. To turn off
the headlight when it is turned on press and hold the UP button again.
*While battery voltage is low the motor may not function. However, the display and light
can remain powered on for some time after this happens.
Walking Mode
Press and hold the DOWN button to enter walking mode., The motor will work to propel
the bike at 6km/h for you to walk alongside it. To exit this mode, release the DOWN
button.
Data Cleanup
Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons together to reset several pieces of
temporary data. This temporary data includes: AVG Speed / Max Speed / Trip / Time.
Parameter Setting
Entering the Parameter Setting Menu
Hold the MODE button to enter the parameter setting menu. Press the UP and DOWN
buttons to change a parameter. Press the MENU button to save changes and advance
to the next parameter.
Hold the MENU button at any time to exit the parameter setting menu.
*The display will automatically exit this menu if there is no operation for 10 seconds.
*The display cannot enter this menu while riding and will exit this menu if you start
riding.
The parameters are set in the following order:

System
Display will show S7. Press the UP or DOWN button to change between Metric or
imperial for speed and distance units. Press the MODE button to save changes and
move to the next parameter.
Brightness
Display will show b1. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change brightness of the
display’s backlight. 1 is the darkest setting and 5 is the brightest. Press the MODE
button to save changes and move to the next parameter.
Auto Off
Display will show OF. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change auto off time.
This setting can be changed from 1 to 15 which is time in minutes to auto shutoff. This
can also be changed to OFF which will disable the auto shut down feature. Press the
MODE button to save changes and move to the next parameter.

Wheel
Display will show Hd. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change wheel diameter
setting. You do not need to change this unless you are putting different diameter wheels
on your bike than it came with. Press the MODE button to save changes and move to
the next parameter.
Password
Display will show Pd. You will need to enter the password for the display to change the
following settings. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the value of a digit. Press
the MODE button to set the digit and move to the next digit. The default password is
1919.
Speed Limit
Display will show SL. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the max speed limit
for the motor –above this speed the motor will no longer power the bike. Vale can be
set between 10 km/h and 100km/h –note that you may not be able to reach the set max
speed due to limitations of the bike and controller.
Hall
Display will show HL. This setting does not need to be changed. Press the MODE
button to move to the next parameter.

Assist Levels
Display will show PA. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the number of PAS
levels the bike will have. This can be set as 0-3 (3 levels), 0-5 (5 levels) or 0-9 (9
levels). Press the MODE button to save changes and return to the SYSTEM parameter.
Error Code Definitions
The 500C display can show error warning messages. An engine icon will be
displayed on the screen and the error code will be displayed at the bottom of the
screen. For specific definition of the error codes consult the table below. If you need
