850C Display Manual
Biktrix Version
LCD Display
Control Pad Description
Normal Operation
Power On/Off
Press and hold the POWER button to turn on/off the display. The display will
automatically shut down when there is no operation or riding for X minutes (X can range
from 0-9, default setting is 5)
*If the display has been set to require a password for powering on you will need to input
the correct password before starting.
PAS Level Operation
Press the UP button to go up one assist level. Press the DOWN button to go down an
assist level. The highest assist level that can be used in 5. Level 0 will give no motor
assistance. The number of assist levels can be customized in the user settings.
Speed & Mileage mode switch
Short press the POWER button and you can change the speed and mileage mode:
AVG SPEED→MAX SPEED→RT SPEED→TRIP→ODO→TIME.
**If there is no operation for 5 seconds, display will return Speed (Real-Time)
display automatically.
Headlight/backlight Operation
Press and hold the UP button to turn on/off the headlight. As well, the screen will switch
to the corresponding mode.
*The motor does not work when the battery voltage is low. However, the display
will still keep the headlight on for a short amount of time while riding.
Walking mode (6km)
Press and hold the DOWN button to enter walking mode. This will move the bike
forward at a speed of 6 km/h. Exit from this mode by releasing the DOWN button.
Data cleanup
Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons together for to reset the AVG Speed/MAX
Speed/Trip/Time data.
* This temporary data cannot be erased by powering off the display.
Parameter setting
Double press the POWER button to get into the settings menus. Press the UP and
DOWN buttons to change the parameter. Press the POWER button to switch to the next
item. Double press the POWER button to exit from the menu.
* The display will automatically exit this menu if there is no operation for 30
seconds
* For safety reasons, the display cannot enter this menu when riding.
* The display will exit this menu when you start riding.
The order of parameters are as follows:
System
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to switch between Metric / Imperial.
Brightness
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the brightness of the display backlight. ׀is
darkest,׀׀׀׀׀ is the brightest. default value is ׀.
Auto off
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the auto power off time, from 1 to 9. The
number represents time (minutes) until automatic shutdown. Default value is 5 minutes.
Scenes
This function is not supported by our controller/display combination
Battery Ind
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the battery indicator to either
Voltage/Percentage/OFF.
*Accurate percentage needs communication with the battery.
Pow Ind
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the Power indicator, Analog/Digital.
* This data represents power output of the battery (not motor).
Clock
This will set the time of the clock on the display. Press the POWER button to enter the
clock setting menu. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to set the
Year/Month/Day/Hour/Min/Sec. When you are done setting the piece of time press the
POWER button to advance to the next one ie after you set the year press the POWER
button to go from Year to Month.
Start password
Press the POWER button enter the password setting menu. If you set Start input to ON,
you must input the correct password before powering on the bike. That password is set
by you in this menu.
Use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the number. Use the POWER button to
confirm your selection and advance to the next digit. Press the POWER button when all
digits are set to save your password selection and finalize setting it.
You need to input the correct password before powering on the bike within 30 seconds.
The display will power off automatically if the password is wrong.
Basic Setting
*Press the DOWN button to move the red arrow to Wheel, then press the
POWER button to show all items of the Basic Setting.
Wheel
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the wheel diameter used by the controller
for speed and distance. The options for wheel diameters are
16/18/20/22/24/26/27/27.5/28/29/30/31 inches. 51cm~255cm represents wheel
circumference.
Battery
Pressing the UP and DOWN buttons to change battery voltage setting. Options are
24V/36V/48V/UBE, UBE means user defined value. You do not need to alter this
setting.
USB Port
This setting can be changed to allow the USB port on the display to charge external
devices. Can be set to ON or OFF using the UP and DOWN buttons.
Light Sensor
This setting allows you to turn the light sensor on and off. That sensor detects the
ambient light and will automatically turn on or off the headlight when it is dark outside.
Sensor: Use the UP and DOWN buttons to switch this between ON or OFF.
Turning this off will result in the headlights not turning on and off based on ambient light.
Sensitivity: Use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the sensitivity of the
ambient light sensor. This will make the sensor more or less sensitive to changes in
ambient light.
Advance setting
Press the POWER button to enter the advance setting menu. The default password for
this menu is ‘1919’.
Speed limit
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to change the motors speed limit. The range is
10km/h~45km/h. Default value is 25km/h.
Assist levels
This parameter allows customization of the assist levels. Options are 3/5/9/UBE. UBE
represents default factory settings.

Error code
Displays the last 10 error codes.
Factory setting
Press the POWER button enter the Restore Factory settings item, select YES to restore
all parameters to factory settings.
Error Code Definitions
The 850C display can show warning messages. The engine icon will be displayed
on the screen, and error codes are shown at the bottom of the screen. Error codes are
from 01~07, for definitions see the table below. If you cannot resolve the error, contact
Biktrix support.
