INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance can be used by children

lf the supply cord is damaged, it must

Unplug the appliance during filling and
cleaning.
Never use this appliance for anything other than its
intended use. This appliance is for household use
only. Do not use this appliance outdoors,
Alwavs ensure that hands are dry before handling
the piug or switching on the appliance,
This appliance must not be placed on or near any
potentially hot surfaces (such as a gas or electric
hob).
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped,
if there are any visible signs of damage or if it is
leaking.
Never immerse any part of the appliance or power
cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
Never let the power cord hang over the edge of a
work top, touih hot surfaces or become knotted,
trapped or pinched.
WARNING: Never use a humidifier in a closed
room. (i.e: doors and windows closed) as it may
result in excessive humiditY.
WARNING: DO NOT move the humidifier with
water in the tank or the humidifier base. This may
cause the humidifier to function intermittently, or
stop emitting mist.
WARNING: D0 NOT pour water into the mist nozzle
on top of the humidifier. D0 NOT pour water directly
into the water basin as this may cause damage to
the unit.
NEVER drop or insert any object into any opentngs
DO NOT place hands, face, or body directly over
or near the mist outlet while the unit is in operation.
D0 NOT cover the mist outlet or place anything
over it while the unit is operating.
A waterproof mat or pad is recommended for under
vour huinidifier. NEVER place it on a surface that
hay become damaged 6y exposure to water and
moisture (i.e. a finished floor).
DO NOT allow the mist outlet to directly face the
wall. Moisture could cause damage, particularly to
wallpaper.
NEVER use detergents, petrol, glass cleaner'
furniture oolrsh. oaint thinner, or other household
solvents to clean any part of your humidifier,
Excessive humidity in a room can cause water
condensation on windows and some furniture. lf
this happens, turn your humidifier OFF.
We recommend that you do not use your humidlfier
in an area where the humidity level exceeds 55%.

INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
1" When using the humidifier for the first time
after being removed from its original box, it
is recommended to place the unit at room
temperature for about 30 minutes before
operation.
2. The suitable working environment for the
humidifier is: temperature at 5'C to 40'C
(41'F to 104'F) and relative humidity less
than 80%RH. D0 NOT operate the humidifier
when the environment condition exceeds the
recommended temperature and relative humidity
ranges,
3. Select a location for your humidifler, on a flat
surface, at least 10 cm (4 inches) away from the
wall, DO NOT place the humidifier on a finished
floor or near furniture, which can be damaged by
too much moisture or water. Place on a moisture
resistant surface.
FTLLTNG THE WATER TANK (FrG 2)
1. Turn off and and unplug the humidifier before
removing the water tank.
2. Bring the tank to the sink, turn upside down and
twist off the water tank cap by turning counter
clockwise.
3. Fill the tank with cool, fresh tap water at a
temperature below 40"C (104'F). D0 NOT fill
with warm water at a temperature higher than
40"C (104'F) as this may cause the unit to fail.
4. Fit the water tank cap back onto the tank and
tighten firmly clockwise.
5. Place the water tank back onto the humidifler
base. Make sure that the water tank is fltted
conectly. The tank will begin to release water
into the water basin.
6. Plug the humidifier into the mains outlet socket.
USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER
1. To switch the humidifier on, turn the control knob
clockwise. The indicator light will illuminate blue,
and mist will disperse from the top after a few
seconds.
2. Turn the control knob clockwise to increase mist
output level and counter clockwise to decrease
mist level.
Note: The High setting will produce the
maximum moisture level. The Low setting
will produce a longer run time and quieter
performance.
3, To stop mist output at any setting, turn the
control knob fully counter clockwise to the Off
position (O).
4. When the humidifier runs out of water, the
indicator light will illumate red, and remain red
until the humidifler is switched off.
5, Turn the humidifier off and unplug it from the
mains outlet socket.
Before refilling, empty any residual waterfrom the
humidifier base and the tank as described under
Daily Maintenance. Then follow the steps under
Filling the Water Tank to refill the tank.
GLEANING AND MAINTENANGE
Proper maintenance and cleaning is essential for
the continued performance of your humidifier and to
prevent the build up of algae or bacteria.
Daily Maintenance
1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier from the
mains outlet socket.
2. Remove the water tank from the humidifier
base.
3. Drain and rinse the humidifler base and tank
thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt.
4. Wipe clean and dry with a clean cloth or paper
towel. Do not allow water to enter the air
outlet.
Refill the tank as described under Filling the Water
Tank, Do not overflll.

Weekly Maintenance
1. Repeat steps 1-3 as described under Daily
Maintenance.
2. Clean the humidifier base by partially filling it
with approx. 230 ml of undiluted white vinegar.
Leave in the base for 20 minutes. Gently scrub
the area around the transducer and the interior
surfaces with a soft brush. Remove the scale by
wiping the entire base with a cloth dampened
with undiluted white vinegar.
3. Rinse clean with warm water to remove any
traces of vinegar. Do not allow water to enter
the air outlet.
Refill the tank as described under Filling the Water
Tank. Do not overfill.
STORAGE
lf you do not plan to use your humidifier for an
extended period of time, it is important that you follow
these instructions to help prevent water stagnating
inside the unit.
Turn your humidifier off and disconnect it from
the mains outlet socket, Remove ihe water tank
and empty the tank and the base completely.
Clean the humidifler as described under
Cleaning and Maintenance.
Dry the humidifier thoroughly. DO NOT leave any
water inside your humidifier when storing it,
Store in the original box in a cool, dry place.

charge provided that:

(Europe) of the problem; and
. the appliance has not been altered in any way
or subjected to damage, misuse, abuse, repair
or alteration by a person other than a person
authorised by JCS (Europe).
Faults that occur through, improper use, damage,
abuse, use with inconect voltage, acts of nature,
events beyond the control of JCS (Europe), repair or
alteration by a person other than a person authorised
by JCS (Europe) or failure to follow instructions for
use are not covered by this guarantee. Additionally,
normal wear and tear, including, but not limited to,
minor discoloration and scratches are not covered by

ELEGTRIGAL SAFETY
lf the plug is not suitable for the socket outlets in your
home, it can be removed and replaced by a plug of
the conect type.
lf the fuse in a moulded plug needs to be changed,
the fuse cover must be refitted. The appliance must
not be used without the fuse cover fitted.
If the plug is unsuitable. it should be dismantled and
removed from the supply cord and an appropriate
plug fitted as detailed. lf you remove the plug it must
not be connected to a 13 amp socket and the plug
must be disposed of immediately.
lf the terminals in the plug are not marked or if you
are unsure about the installation of the plug please
contact a qualified electrician.
