Assembly
1. Locatehardware pack for handle
assembly. Enclosedare _o nut and bolts
for the handle, as well as upper (larger)
and lower (smaller) plastic cord hoo_,s.
An extra drive belt is also included,
2. Conned lower handle tothe base of the
unit.The_hinnerend shouldpoint upwards,
toward the top of vacuum,Connectupper
handleto lower handle by sliding intoeach
other.Upper handle shouldcurve towards
the back of the unit. Insertnutsand bolts
and tighten.
3. Threadnutand boltthrough hob in upper
and lower handle. Screwtogether nutand
bolt by hand, thentightenwith screwdriver.
4. Takelower cord hook with vacuum facing
-frC;ntwordsand snapinto slotOnlO,,ver
handlewith hook facing down.
5, Takeuppercord hook and placecord with
springretainer into slotand snapin,
6, Wrap cord around card clips.
7. Toattach the baq to thevacuum,find hook
on thebottomof-the bagand hookit to
theback of thevacuumbase, (Seeimage)
Align latchwith the back of the vacuum
anc!bring thecoffar forward, Turnlatch so
thatbag tocksonto rivet.

bag clip on uppercord hook,

Some Berber carpets have a
tendency to fuzz with wear.
Repeatedstrokes in the same
area with an ordinary vacuum or
deep cleaner may aggravate this
condition.

Step on the power switch locatedon
top of the heavy-du_ metal hood. Press
down with foot and power will go on.
Step again on the switch and power
will shut off.
5. Todetent the handle, push on the foot
_edal. Pressdown on it again and
andle wiEIdetent all the way to the
floor level
6. Youcan now begin to vacuum.
NOTE: Always wrap cord around
cord hooks and fasten cord to
prevent unwinding.
Toavoid injury: keeploose
clothing, hair, fingers, and all
other partsof body away from
any moving part (suchasthe
revolving kkush).Turn off the
switch and unplu_qthe cbaner

Removing and Emptying Cloth Bag
1. Unzip the cloth bag.
2. Removecardboard base that affixes the
inner paper bag. Dispose.
3, Open new disposable bag.
4. Slide cardboard base over plastic
extension inside bag.
5. Tuckdisposable bag into cloth bag, and
zip cloth bag. ....
NOTE: Very fine powders and
substances may clog the cloth
bag. Please rememE_er to empty
bag often so that vacuum cleaner
can efficiently operate.

The removabb clear Fanchamber enables
the userof the vacuum cleanerto observe if
any obstructions, dirt buildup, broken fan,
broken belt, or any other maintenance issue
needs to be addressed. We recommend that
a qualified vacuum repair specialistat your
local service center repair any maintenance
issuesthat you may have.

cracked or looks worn.

plate on the bottomof the vacuum.
2, Removethe belt from the pulley.Remove
the brushroll by lifting up, andthen take
off belt.

and align the beltwith the beltguide.
Pullbeltover the pulleyand rotatethe
pulleyto makesurebelt issmoothb'riding
on motorpulley.
Placethe metalplate back ontothe bottom
of the vacuumand lock into place with
both locks.
NOTE: Turn off the switch and
unplug the electrical cord.
CAUTION:
Turnoff switch and unplug cord
before replacing belt, Belt pulleys
can become hot during normal
use, To preventburns, avoid
touching the beh pulley when
servicing the drive belt.
