HOW TO USE
Baking Waffles
NOTE: Be sure you h ve “conditioned” the cooking surf ces (See
“IMPORTANT Before First Use”).
1. Close the lid nd plug the cord into st nd rd electric l outlet. The
Power Light will come on to indic te
the unit is he ting. Use the prehe t
time ( bout 41⁄2minutes) to
prep re your b tter. When the
Re dy-to-Cook Light cycles on,
the unit is prehe ting (A).
2. Open the unit, pour 1⁄2cup of b tter
onto the lower cooking surf ce, nd spre d it
evenly over the entire lower surf ce. (Pouring more th n this will c use
excess b tter to seep out over the edges.)
3. C refully close the top. Keep h nds w y from the unit s ste m
esc pes during b king. The Re dy-to-Cook Light will cycle on nd off
during b king to m int in temper ture. Cooking time is bout 4-6
minutes, depending on the type of b tter/ingredients you used nd the
mount of browning nd crispness you’d like.
4. Use timer for ccur te w ffle cooking. Avoid opening the unit during
the b king cycle s this m y c use the w ffle to stick or split.
5. When the w ffle is done nd the ste m h s stopped esc ping, open the
top nd use fork to remove the w ffle. Be c reful not to scr tch the
non-stick co ting with the fork. If the w ffle sticks, lightly re-oil the
cooking surf ces.
6. Since this w fflem ker semi-cuts the w ffle into 4 sections, you m y
w nt to h ve pl te ne rby when removing the w ffle in c se it
sep r tes into p rts. Keep the lid closed between cooking b tches of
w ffles to preserve he t.
7. When ll w ffles re b ked, unplug the cord, open the unit, nd llow it
to cool before cle ning.
Helpful Hints
1. Belgi n w ffles re gre t for bre kf st, lunch, sn cks, or desserts.
Consider the following toppings to cre te t sty tre ts: sliced fruits or
berries, syrup or honey, whipped cre m, ice cre m, jelly or j m,
powdered sug r, or fruit yogurt.
2. B ked w ffles freeze well. Cook ll the b tter. Cool the w ffles nd
pl ce p per towels between them. Wr p them in pl stic wr p or freezer
b gs, nd freeze. No need to defrost them when you w nt to rehe t
frozen w ffles. Just he t them in to ster or to ster oven.
3. If w ffle sticks nd splits when you try to open the lid, close the
w fflem ker nd continue b king until the w ffle is crisp ( nother
minute or so). Crisp w ffle pieces re e sier to remove from the
cooking grids.
1. Open the unit by lifting the H ndle. The top section will rest in vertic l

be loose. This llows the w ffle to rise evenly nd for ste m to esc pe.
2. IMPORTANT Before First Use: Condition the non-stick cooking
surf ces with light co ting of cooking oil before first use. Do not use
non-stick cooking spr y. Thoroughly brush the oil onto the cooking
surf ces or wipe on with p per towel. Be sure to co t the cooking
