Safety information
Please read these safety instructions and the operation
instructions provided in this booklet before using the
travel charger. Retain these instructions for future use.
The travel charger is for indoor use only. Do not use the
travel charger outside or in any area exposed to the
elements.
Do not place the travel charger or the handheld being
charged on any unstable surface, such as a cart, stand,
tripod, bracket, or table. It may fall, thereby potentially
causing serious injury to a child or adult, and/or serious
damage to the handheld. Take care when using the travel
charger to place the charger in a secure and stable spot
and route the power cord in a way that reduces the risk of
injury to others, such as by tripping or choking.
The travel charger should be operated only from the type
of power source indicated on the marking label. The
power cord of the travel charger should be routed so that
it is not likely to be walked on, tripped over or pinched by
items placed upon or against it, paying particular
attention to the cord at the point where it plugs into the
electrical outlet or convenience receptacles, and the point
where it connects to the handheld.
Do not overload electrical outlets, extension cords, or
integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk
of fire or electric shock. To reduce the risk of damage to

the cord or the plug, pull by the plug rather than the cord
when you disconnect the travel charger from the electrical
outlet or convenience receptacle.
Never push objects of any kind into the handheld or travel
charger through openings as they may short-out parts and
could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of
any kind on the travel charger.
Do not use the travel charger near water (for example near
a bathtub, or a sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming
pool, etc.). Whether in use or not, the travel charger
should be situated away from heat sources, such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves, flames, lit candles,
cigarettes, or other products (including amplifiers) that
produce heat.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not expose the travel charger to water, rain, or other
moisture.
Service: Disconnect the USB cable from the handheld and
unplug the travel charger from the electrical outlet and
refer the handheld, charging unit, and any accessories for
service to qualified service personnel if:
• The power supply cord or plug, or connector to the
handheld is damaged.
• Liquid has been spilled on the travel charger.
• The travel charger has been exposed to rain or water.

• The travel charger becomes very hot to the touch.
• The travel charger has been dropped or damaged in
any way.
• The travel charger does not operate normally by
following the instructions contained in this booklet.
• The travel charger exhibits a distinct change in
performance.
Use the travel charger in accordance with the directions
provided in this booklet. Improper use may result in
damage and will often require extensive work by a
qualified technician to restore the travel charger to its
normal operation. Do not attempt to disassemble the
travel charger.
For information on qualified service personnel in your
area, please contact your network operator or
BlackBerry® reseller.
Disconnect the USB cable from the handheld and unplug
the travel charger from the electrical outlet before cleaning
either the handheld or the travel charger. Do not use
liquid or aerosol cleaners. Rather, use a dry cloth to clean
the unit. Unplug the travel charger during lightning
storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Failure to observe all these instructions will void the
Limited Warranty, and may lead to suspension or denial
of services to the offender, or legal action, or both.

Charging the handheld
1. Insert one end of the travel charger cable into the
power adapter, as illustrated below.
2. Connect the other end of the travel charger cable to
your handheld.
3. Insert the appropriate attachment piece into the power
adapter.
4. Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.

De reisoplader is uitsluitend bedoeld voor gebruik
binnenshuis. Gebruik de reisoplader niet buiten of op
plaatsen die zijn blootgesteld aan weersinvloeden.
Plaats de reisoplader of de handheld die u oplaadt niet op
een onstabiel oppervlak, zoals bijvoorbeeld een karretje,
standaard, statief, haak of tafel. Het apparaat kan vallen
en mogelijk ernstige verwondingen veroorzaken bij een
kind of volwassene en tevens de handheld ernstig
beschadigen. Zorg er bij het gebruik van de reisoplader
voor dat deze zich op een veilige, stabiele plaats bevindt
en dat het snoer op zodanige manier is geplaatst dat er
niemand over kan struikelen of door kan stikken.
Bedien de reisoplader uitsluitend via het type
stroomvoorziening dat op het label is vermeld. Leid het
netsnoer van de reisoplader zo dat men er niet op kan

Belast stopcontacten, verlengsnoeren of ingebouwde
voedingscontacten niet te zwaar, aangezien dit brand of
een elektrische schok kan veroorzaken. Om de kans op
beschadiging van het snoer of de stekker zo klein mogelijk
te houden, dient u de reisoplader uit het stopcontact of de
ingebouwde voeding te verwijderen door aan de stekker
te trekken in plaats van aan het snoer.
Steek nooit iets in een opening van de handheld of de
reisoplader. Dit kan kortsluiting veroorzaken in een van
de onderdelen, met mogelijk brand of elektrische schok als

Gebruik de reisoplader niet in de buurt van water,

Veuillez lire attentivement les consignes de sécurité et les

d'utiliser le chargeur de voyage. Conservez ces
instructions pour les consulter ultérieurement.
Le chargeur de voyage doit être utilisé à l'intérieur
uniquement. N'utilisez pas le chargeur de voyage à
l'extérieur ni dans un lieu exposé aux intempéries.
Ne posez jamais le chargeur de voyage ou le terminal
mobile sur une surface instable, par exemple un chariot,
un guéridon, un trépied, une étagère ou une table. Il
pourrait tomber et blesser sérieusement quelqu'un et/ou
endommager le terminal mobile. Posez le chargeur sur un
emplacement stable et sûr et disposez le cordon de sorte à
éviter de blesser quelqu'un, en le faisant trébucher ou en
l'étranglant par exemple.
Le chargeur de voyage doit être exclusivement utilisé avec
la source d'alimentation mentionnée sur l'étiquette. Le
cordon d'alimentation du chargeur de voyage doit être
disposé de telle sorte que personne ne puisse y marcher

Ne surchargez pas les prises de courant, les rallonges

Déconnectez le câble USB du terminal mobile et
débranchez le chargeur de voyage de la prise de courant
avant de nettoyer le terminal mobile ou le chargeur de
voyage. N'utilisez pas de produit d'entretien liquide ou en
aérosol. Utilisez simplement un chiffon sec pour le
nettoyer. En cas d'orage ou d'inutilisation prolongée,
débranchez le chargeur de voyage.
Le non-respect de ces consignes annulera la garantie
limitée et pourrait entraîner la suspension ou le refus
des services offerts au contrevenant et/ou des poursuites
