About the BlackBerry Premium
Multimedia Headset
With the BlackBerry® Premium Multimedia Headset, you can play, pause,
skip backward, and skip forward through songs and videos that are saved
on your BlackBerry device. You can also answer, mute, and end phone calls,
and activate voice dialing with the touch of a button.
To use the BlackBerry Premium Multimedia Headset with your
BlackBerry device, your device must have a 3.5 mm headset jack and must
be running BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.6 or later.
Using your BlackBerry Premium
Multimedia Headset
Play a media file
You can use the BlackBerry® Premium Multimedia Headset to play songs
and videos that are saved on your BlackBerry device. You can listen to
streamedmedia;however,youcannotpause,skipforward,orskipbackward
through streamed media.
In the media application on your device, perform any of the following
actions:
•To play or pause a song or video, press the Play/Pause button.
• To navigate through songs or videos in a category, press the
Skip backward or Skip forward button.
• To play the next song or video in a category when you are
playing a song or video, press the Skip forward button.
•To play the previous song or video in a category when you are
playingasongorvideo,presstheSkipbackward button twice.
• To play the current song or video from the beginning, press
the Skip backward button once.
Answer a call
Press the Play/Pause button.
To end a call, press and hold the Play/Pause button.
Mute a call
Press the Play/Pause button quickly.
To turn off mute, press the Play/Pause button quickly again.
Turn on voice dialing
To perform this task, your BlackBerry® device must support voice dialing.
Press and hold the Play/Pause button.

Product information
The BlackBerry® Premium Multimedia Headset battery has an estimated
life expectancy of approximately two years, depending on your usage
patterns. The battery is not chargeable or replaceable. When the battery
dies, some features are no longer available. You can continue to use the
headset to listen to music and talk on the phone, and use the Play/Pause
button features, but the Skip forward, Skip backward, Volume up, and
Volume down button features are no longer available.

• Your BlackBerry device can play audio files. If you use
headphones to listen to audio files at a high volume, permanent
hearing loss might occur. Avoid increasing the volume of your
headphones to block out noisy surroundings. If you experience
ringing in your ears or muffled speech, consult a physician to
have your hearing checked.
•Take care that the cord does not catch on other people's bags or
accessories. Injury or damage might result if the cord catches.
