STARTUP PROCEDURE
LIGHT
REQUIRED MATERIALS
●Gas key (included with firepit)
●Lighter, reliable and easily lit, with extension wand or gooseneck.
STEP 1
Before turning on gas source make sure gas valve is turned off using
supplied key.
Propane Tank: Open the access door at the rear of the firepit. Turn gas
regulator valve counter clockwise to the fully open position.
Direct Plumb: Rotate the firepit shutoff valve to the open position.
STEP 2
Remove burner plate cover and clear firepit table of any items or debris.
STEP 3
Make sure no music is playing while attempting to light the burner.
NEVER use lighter fluid, or any kind of fire starter, to light the Blazing
Beats fire pit.
Blazing Beats
3

Light the lighter, making sure there is an adequate flame, which is in close
contact to the perforated burner plate surface.
STEP 4
Engage gas key by inserting into the slot on front panel of fire pit. Turn gas
key ½ turn. Wait no more than 15 seconds for gas to ignite. There will be a
small delay while the gas makes way to the burner plate perforations.
If firepit does not light within 15 seconds, turn off
gas by turning the gas key to the off position. Wait
30 seconds for the area to adequately ventilate
before attempting to light again.
ADJUST GAS
Use the gas key to adjust the flame. For optimum performance, rotate the key so that there
is a 6 to 10 inch yellow flame emanating from the center region of burner plate.
Setting the gas too low may result in a ‘blow out’
while playing music. Setting the gas excessively
high may result in unexpected flame height during
dynamic music.
POWER ON
Power and volume are controlled with the ‘AUDIO’ knob, located on the front control panel.
Before powering on, rotate all other control knobs counterclockwise to the ‘MIN’ position
and unplug any cables from the AUX and MIC inputs. This protects sensitive audio
equipment and startling volumes during power up.
Rotate the ‘AUDIO’ knob clockwise to the middle position, placing the white indicator dot
at the top of the knob. A red power LED will light when the unit is powered on.
CONNECT AUDIO SOURCE
AUX
Connect audio source (e.g. mobile phone) to AUX input with a
3.5mm audio cable.
Blazing Beats

BLUETOOTH
Open the bluetooth settings on audio source (e.g. mobile
phone). Connect to ‘Blazing Beats’ device. If you have trouble
connecting see ‘BLUETOOTH’ section below.
Set volume on audio source to the midpoint, or just below, position. Play audio.
ADJUST FLAME REACTIVITY
Flame reactivity is controlled with the ‘FLAME’ knob, located on the front control panel.
Rotate ‘FLAME’ knob counter clockwise to the lowest position, and then clockwise until the
flame starts to react to the music. This is the ‘FLAME base line’. Reactivity may seem low at
this level, but is required for initial adjustment.
ADJUST AUDIO
Audio volume is controlled with the ‘AUDIO’ knob, located on the front control panel.
Rotate the ‘AUDIO’ knob so that audio is playing at a normal and comfortable level. This
should not require any adjustment of the volume on your audio source (e.g. mobile phone).
This is the ‘AUDIO baseline’ and should represent the midpoint of your preferred listening
levels.
FINAL ADJUSTMENTS
From these ‘AUDIO and FLAME baselines’ you can now easily adjust your firepit to the
preferred volume and flame reactivity for your style of music.
The volume control on your audio source can be used to ‘remotely’ adjust the volume AND
flame reactivity of your firepit. As you turn up the volume on your audio source, flame
reactivity will increase just as it will decrease as you lower the volume.
If you’d like a more reactive flame without increasing the listening level, slowly turn the
‘FLAME’ knob clockwise. Adjust in small increments, listening and watching the flame as
the music changes in intensity. Turn the ‘FLAME’ knob counter clockwise to decrease flame
reactance.
Dynamic and bass heavy music can cause large
fluctuations in flame reactance. Exercise caution
while adjusting for high dynamic music or if your
Blazing Beats
5

playlist changes between musical styles, especially if
you have adjusted the flame for a less dynamic style
of music.
AUDIO CONTROLS
Your Blazing Beats Firepit is equipped with a 30 watt Stereo amplifier and 2 high quality 6.5”
speakers in engineered enclosures designed to fill up small outdoor spaces with great sound.
AUDIO
The ‘AUDIO’ knob controls the power state and volume of your Blazing Beats Firepit.
Rotate clockwise to power on and increase volume. Rotate counterclockwise to decrease
volume and power off. An LED on the front panel indicates power status.
FLAME
The ‘FLAME’ knob controls the flame reactivity of your Blazing Beats Firepit. Rotate
clockwise to increase flame reactivity. Rotate counterclockwise to decrease flame
reactivity. The volume of your incoming audio signal also contributes to flame reactivity.
Always follow the STARTUP PROCEDURE to calibrate your flame reactivity when operating
the Blazing Beats Firepit.
TIKI
The ‘TIKI’ knob controls the flame reactivity of any attached Blazing Beats Tikis. You can
attach up to 8 Tikis. For more information about Tikis contact your local Blazing Beats
retailer.
MIC
The ‘MIC’ knob controls the gain, or mixing level, of a microphone connected to your
Blazing Beats Firepit. Rotate clockwise to increase gain. Rotate counterclockwise to
decrease gain. This gain control should not to be confused with a volume control. Adjust
the MIC gain such that the microphone input is not overpowered by the audio signal and
then use the ‘AUDIO’ knob to control volume.
The MIC jack, located on the front control panel, is designed to accept a standard
microphone or electric instrument (e.g. guitar) input via ¼” male plug.
Blazing Beats
6

AUX
The AUX audio jack, located on the front control panel, is designed to accept line level
audio input via 3.5mm male plug. This includes cell phones, tablets and other mobile
devices, Sonos, and Google Chromecast. Audio and home theater receivers are also
acceptable provided the incoming signal is ‘line level’.
The AUX audio jack is switched and designed to override any Bluetooth connections. Any
time a cable is plugged into the AUX audio jack, Bluetooth audio is disabled.
BLUETOOTH
The Blazing Beats Firepit is Bluetooth version 4.2 enabled. The bluetooth device ID is
‘Blazing Beats’ and discovery/pairing is enabled anytime there are no devices connected to
the audio system.
The Blazing Beats Firepit will automatically connect to any previously connected devices
within range. If you have difficulty connecting, please ensure that no other devices are
already connected. This may require you to disable or manually disconnect another already
connected device before you can connect.
If you continue to experience problems, power down the audio system, wait approximately
10 seconds, power up the system, and reattempt the connection.
The AUX audio jack is switched and designed to override any Bluetooth connections. Any
time a cable is plugged into the AUX audio jack, Bluetooth audio is disabled.
MAINTENANCE
WEATHERIZING
The Blazing Beats Firepit should be covered when not in use. The included cover should be
placed over the burner assembly when the firepit is not in use. Use caution when placing or
removing the cover. Let the burner assembly cool down before placing the cover.
Before removing the cover, make sure the cover is
not hot as it may have been placed over a hot burner
assembly.
Covering the Blazing Beats Firepit during the offseason will help protect the appearance
and prolong the life of sensitive electronic components.

CLEANING
Periodic cleaning of the Blazing Beats Firepit may be necessary. The type of fuel, frequency
of use, and flame height may cause soot to accumulate on the surface of the burner
assembly. Use a dry cloth, or a cloth dampened with WATER ONLY to clean the cooled
surface of the burner plate.
The use of household cleaners or other potentially
flammable substances to clean the burner plate
could cause explosive ignition when lighting and/or
clog the holes.
Remove and clean any debris from the interior of the firepit enclosure. Leaves, animal nesting
materials or other debris may enter through ventilation ports and must be kept clear to
prevent fire hazard.
INSPECTION
Periodic inspection of the Blazing Beats Firepit is necessary. Inspect all fuel connections to
make sure they are tight and undamaged. Inspect the burner assembly above and below
for any damages. Inspect speakers and audio electronics for any signs of damage.
Damaged parts must be replaced before continued operation of Blazing Beats. Technical
support and repair parts are supplied by your local retailer or by emailing
PROPANE TANK REPLACEMENT
If your Blazing Beats Firepit is fueled by propane tank, you will need to periodically refill or
replace the propane tank.
STEP 1
Discontinue operation and wait for your Blazing Beats Firepit to completely
cool down. Use the provided gas key to ensure that the gas valve is in the
OFF position.
Attempting to replace the propane tank while
operating your Blazing Beats Firepit or before it has
cooled down may result in burns, serious injury or
death.
STEP 2
Open the rear access door.
Blazing Beats
8

STEP 3
Close the regulator valve on the propane tank by rotating the knob in the
CLOSE direction, usually indicated on the knob, until the knob stops.
STEP 4
Disconnect the regulator hose from the propane tank and remove tank.
STEP 5
Refill or exchange the tank at an authorized propane distributor.
STEP 6
Replace the fresh propane tank in the rear access door.
STEP 7
Reconnect the regulator hose to the propane tank.
You are now ready to follow the STARTUP PROCEDURE to again operate your Blazing Beats
Firepit.
