Meet your BloomSky Indoor Station
Thank you for purchasing the BloomSky Indoor Station, the indoor weather monitoring device, a
companion to the BloomSky Outdoor Station. Your wifi-connected Indoor Station is compatible
with iOS and Android devices. The Indoor Station is a weather measurement device that uses
internal sensors to capture the indoor temperature and humidity of your home, office, or other
building. The display shows both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The outdoor
temperature and humidity is reported by your BloomSky Outdoor Station. In order to operate,
the BloomSky Indoor Station must be paired with an Outdoor Station (model SKY1).
To begin, download the BloomSky app for your phone or tablet if you have not already done so.
The BloomSky app is used for setup of your weather station and to view, save, and share the
weather data. After you’ve successfully completed the set-up of your Outdoor Station, you can
set up your Indoor Station.
Read this manual before use and keep it for your future reference. It will help you through the
setup process of your BloomSky Indoor Station (model BLOOM1), introduce you to your device,
guide you through troubleshooting and completing a hard reset. If you need any further

Intended Use
The BloomSky Indoor Station is designed to allow you to monitor indoor and outdoor
temperature and humidity. The data will display on the screen of the device and be sent to the
cloud through Wi-Fi. You can view they Indoor Station’s readings on the screen of the device
itself, and through your BloomSky app.
Requirements
•iOS version 7.0 or higher or
•Android version 4.0 or higher
•2.4GHz wifi connection
•BloomSky app installed on a mobile device. App is available from the App Store or Google
Play Store.
•A connected BloomSky Outdoor Station (model SKY1).

Your Indoor Station
The Indoor Station’s Display
Display
Meaning
Your Indoor Station is fully powered up and is ready for setup.
Device cannot connect to server. Confirm your Wi-Fi password
is correct, DHCP functionality is enabled, and Wi-Fi is not
connected to a 5GHz band.
Your device has completed set up and is reporting real-time
indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity!

Getting Started
Setup Guidelines
Detailed setup instructions are available in the Indoor Station Installation Guide. Below are
guidelines for a successful setup.
•If you are using an Android mobile device, wait 5 minutes after setting up your Outdoor Station
before setting up your Indoor Station so that your Outdoor Station has time to start
transmitting data before you tether an Indoor Station.
•To operate, your Indoor Station needs to be connected to power. About 3 seconds after you
plug in your device, the screen will display indoor temperature and humidity.
•Before starting setup, you must install the BloomSky app on your iOS or Android mobile
device. Links are available at www.bloomsky.com. Or you can download directly from the App
Store or Google Play.
•Connect your mobile device to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network you will connect your
BloomSky to.
•You must first connect your Outdoor Station before you can tether your Indoor Station.
•To ensure a strong signal strength, stay within 5 feet of your router during setup.
•If it takes longer than 3 minutes for your device to connect, you may be too far from your Wi-Fi
router or you may have entered the wrong Wi-Fi password. Perform a hard reset of the
device and restart the setup process.
•After you complete the initial setup, the Indoor Station will connect automatically to your Wi-Fi,
barring a connection interruption, to upload indoor temperature and humidity to the BloomSky
Cloud every 5 minutes, and show you both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity.
Placing your BloomSky Indoor Station
Your BloomSky Indoor Station will perform best when it’s able to get an unbiased reading on a
room’s temperature. Try to install your device where it is at least 3 feet from a heat source, air
conditioning, open windows, or other artificial heat sources.

Troubleshooting
Tethering with the Android App
If you receive the following message on your Android Mobile Device, wait 5 minutes for your
Outdoor Device to start uploading data, then try again.
Hard Reset
A Hard Reset restores your device to factory settings and cleans it of any Wi-Fi information.
Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for about 5-6 seconds until the Warning Icon has been replaced
by the Wrench Icon. You’ve now completed a Hard Reset on your Indoor Station.

Note: The BloomSky Indoor Station will not operate within a Faraday cage.
Firmware Updates
The firmware inside of your Indoor Station can be automatically updated through its Wi-Fi
connection to the BloomSky Cloud.

Warranty
BloomSky warrants that for a period of 1 year from shipment the product will be free from
defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. In the event of a defect, contact

BloomSky’s sole obligation under this warranty will be at its option to repair or replace the
product. This warranty does not apply to products damaged by misuse, accident, or normal
wear and tear. The product is not designed for or warranted against damage from use in areas
subject to electrical interference, extreme heat or cold, immersion under water, or other
inherently hazardous environments. In addition, BloomSky does not warrant the accuracy of
weather data or forecasts obtained from use of the product. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED TO THE
DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. BLOOMSKY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR
