Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a
BISTRO blender from BODUM®. Read these instructions
carefully before using the blender
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
– When using electrical appliance, basic safeguards should
always be followed, including the following.
– Read all the instructions carefully before using the appli-
ance for the first time. Failure to observe the instructions
and safeguards may cause a hazard.
– After unpacking, check the appliance for damage. Do not
use it if you are not sure; instead, contact your retailer.
– Keep the packaging material (cardboard, plastic bags,
etc.) out of the reach of children (danger of asphyxiation
or injury).
– This blender is intended for household use only. Do not
use it outdoors.
– Do not place the appliance on or next to hot gas or elec-
tric burners or in a heated oven.
– The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage or
injury arising from inappropriate or improper use. Use the
appliance only for the purpose for which it was designed.
– Do not let children play with the appliance. Do not let the
appliance run unsupervised.
– Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is used by
children or persons unfamiliar with it.
– This appliance is not suitable for use by young children or
infirm persons unless closely supervised by a responsible
person who can ensure its safe use.
– Do not touch the appliance with damp or wet hands. Do
not touch the cord or plug with wet hands.
– Do not use any accessory attachment not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer including canning jars.
This may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
– To protect against risk of electrical shock, never immerse
the motor base in water. Remember that your blender is
an electrical appliance.
– Clean the appliance housing using a damp cloth only.
– Switch off the appliance and unplug the cord from the
wall outlet to isolate the appliance.
– When unplugging the cord from the wall outlet, grasp
the plug, not the cord.

– When blending hot liquids, remove the lid cap (center-
piece of two-piece cover), and close any edge cover open-
ings intended for pouring.
– Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or
counter or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
– Disconnect the blender from the mains whenever it is not
being used, before attaching or removing accessories or
when cleaning it.
– Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been
damaged in any way. Instead, take it to the nearest
authorised service centre for examination, repair or
adjustment.
– Never attempt to replace the cord, as special tools are
required. Repairs to or replacements of the cord should
be left to a service centre authorised by the manufacturer
to ensure the safety of the appliance.
– Never immerse the cord, motor base or plug in water
or other liquid, as this could cause fire, electric shock or
injury.
– CAUTION: to avoid the risk of overriding the safety shut-
down system, the appliance must not be operated by
means of an external switch device such as a time switch,
nor should it be connected to an electrical circuit that is
regularly switched on and off by the electricity supply
company.
– The appliance must remain disconnected from the mains
while it is being cleaned.
– Blades are sharp, handle carefully
– Do not touch any rotating components or accessories.
– Flashing light indicates ready to operate. Avoid any con-
tact with blades. Keep clothing, jewelry, hair, fingers and
utensils away from rotating components or accessories to
avoid serious injury to persons and damage to the appli-
ance.
– Check that the appliance is isolated from the mains
before cleaning or putting it away.
– Always operate blender with lid in place.

INSTALLATION
– Always place the appliance on a stable, horizontal sur-
face. This surface should neither be hot nor near a heat
source. The surface must be dry. Keep the appliance and
cord out of the reach of children.
– Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label of the
appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage. (Use a
residual current device (RCD) – please contact a qualified
electrician for advice.) The wall outlet must be easily acces-
sible while the appliance is in use in case of emergency.
– If the plug provided with the appliance is incompatible with
the wall outlet, have it changed by a qualified electrician.
For US and Canada Customers only: This appliance has
a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in appo-
larized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

BEFORE USING THE BLENDER
Clean the blender before using it for the first time. See
CARE AND CLEANING section.
HOW TO USE YOUR BLENDER
– You can store the excess power cord in the cord retainer
(9) on the bottom of the motor base.
– Place the blender jar (3) onto the motor base (4). It must
stand sturdily on the motor base.
– Insert the main plug into an grounded electrical outlet.
MIXING
NOTE:
WHILE ANY INDICATION LIGHTS ARE LIT UP OR THE BLEND-
ER IS IN OPERATION, DO NOT TOUCH BLADES, DO NOT
INTERFERE WITH BLADE MOVEMENTS, DO NOT REMOVE

BLENDER JAR LID OR USE ANY UTENSILS TO DISTRIBUTE
THE FOODS. DO NOT TAKE OFF THE JUG FROM THE BASE
DURING OPERATION.
– The consistency of the mixture is liable to change as
ingredients are added; it may be necessary to increase or
decrease the speed accordingly.
– Only process max. 12 to 14 standard ice cubes at a time.
Use a spatula occasionally to stir ONLY WHEN THE MAIN
BLENDER IS SWITCHED OFF.
– Cool hot foods to max. 80°C/176°F before blending and
start mixing at and gradually increase to higher speed.
– When mixing at higher speeds ( , ), with full jar or with
hot foods, stop the blender before removing the lid cap
to add ingredients.
– Only process max. ½-inch/1.5cm cubes of food.
– Boiling Liquid or solid frozen foods (except for ice cubes)
should not be placed in the blender jar.
– Always let the blender jar cool down which has come
directly from a hot dishwasher before placing ice, frozen
foods or very cold liquids.
IMPORTANT:
TO PREVENT OVERHEATING OF THE MOTOR, SWITCH OFF THE
BLENDER AFTER 2 MINUTES OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION AND
WAIT 5 MINUTES BEFORE CONTINUING. AFTER 5 CYCLES OF
OPERATION, WAIT 15 MINUTES BEFORE CONTINUING.
– Place the ingredients in the blender jar (3). Only fill up to
1.25l/40oz (1.0l/34oz for frothing and hot liquids).
– Place the lid (2) onto the blender jar so the spout is covered
(A: CLOSE( )should align with spout) and push it down
firmly. Place the lid cap (1) into the opening in the lid.
Turn on the main power switch (10) on the back of the
housing. The indication light lights up. The START-button (7)
blinks to indicate the blender is now in the standby-mode.
– Select a speed by turning the speed control (5).
– Press the START-button (7) to start the motor. The
START-button remains lit up continuosly while the appliance
is in operation.
– In , or speeds, you can remove the lid cap (1) care-
fully to add liquids or ice cubes. Make sure the content
cannot spill out before you remove the lid cap. When
operating with full pitcher or hot liquids at high speeds
(, ), stop the blender before removing the lid cap to
add ingredients. If blending hot foods or liquids, remove
the lid cap and operate only on speed.
– Press the STOP-button (8) to stop.
– If you prefer to use the pulse-mode for mixing, set the

speed and press the PULSE-button (6) and keep on press-
ing until you are finished mixing. The PULSE-button
remains lit up while the appliance is in operation.
– Stop and check the consistency of foods after some
seconds and use a spatula to redistribute it.
– Make sure the main power switch is switched off before
removing the lid.
WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED MIXING, SWITCH OFF THE
APPLIANCE AND DISCONNECT THE BLENDER FROM THE
MAINS.
– Remove the jar from the motor base (4) to serve. Place
the lid on the blender jar in a manner that the content
can be poured out through the strainer (B: STRAIN( )
should align with spout) or the opening of the lid
(C: OPEN( ) should align with spout). Keep the lid cap
on the lid.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE NO BUTTONS ARE LIT UP AND THE
APPLIANCE IS SWITCHED OFF BEFORE REMOVING THE
LID FROM THE BLENDER JAR. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE
APPLIANCE IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS BEFORE
REMOVING THE JAR FROM THE MOTOR BASE.

AFTER USING THE MIXER
– Make sure none of the buttons are lit up and the blender
is switched off. Unplug the power cord. Clean all parts
immediately after use.
– The appliance is equipped with suction feet. Lift the
blender base carefully.
CARE AND CLEANING
– Disconnect the blender from the mains before cleaning it.
– Do not use abrasive cleaners.
– The blender jar and the blade can be cleaned without
disassembly.
– Place the blender jar on the motor base, fill one-fourth
full with lukewarm water, and add a few drops of dish-
washing liquid. Place the lid and the lid cap on the jar
and run the blender for 5 to 10 seconds on the speed
setting. Remove the jar and empty contents. Rinse the jar
with warm water.
– The lid and the lid cap can be washed in warm water
with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.
– The jar, lid and lid cap can be also washed in the dish-
washer. The lid and lid cap are only dishwasher safe on
the top rack.
– Use a damp cloth only to clean the motor base. Make sure
the appliance is unplugged.
– Never immerse the motor base, mains plug or cord in
water: remember that this is an electrical appliance.
– Any other servicing should be performed by an autho-
rized service representative.
STORING THE BLENDER
– The cord should always be stored in the cord retainer (9).
– Note: always keep the blender disconnected from the
mains when not using it.

durable materials. If, however, any parts need replacing,
please contact your BODUM®retailer, a BODUM®store, your
country’s BODUM®distributor, or visit www.bodum.com.
Guarantee. BODUM®guarantees the BISTRO blender for
a period of two years from the date of purchase against
faulty materials and malfunctions that can be traced back to
defects in design or manufacturing. Repairs are carried out
free of charge if all guarantee conditions are met. Refunds
are not available.
Guarantee conditions. The certificate of guarantee must
be completed in full by the retailer at the time of purchase.
This guarantee is rendered invalid if damage can be traced
back to inappropriate use, misuse, normal wear and tear,
insufficient or incorrect care or maintenance, incorrect
operation or tampering by unauthorised persons.
Correct disposal for this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be
disposed with other household wastes throughout the
EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or
human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle
it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of mate-
rial resources. To return your used device, please use
the return and collection systems or contact the retailer
where the product was purchased. They can take this

diese Anleitung, bevor Sie den Blender verwenden.
WICHTIGE
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
– Lesen Sie alle Hinweise, bevor Sie das Gerät zum ersten
Mal verwenden. Das Nichteinhalten der Anweisungen
und Sicherheitshinweise kann zu gefährlichen Situationen
führen.
– Überprüfen Sie das Gerät nach dem Auspacken auf
Schäden. Verwenden Sie es nicht, wenn Sie sich nicht
sicher sind, sondern kontaktieren Sie Ihren Händler.
– Halten Sie das Verpackungsmaterial (Karton, Plastikbeutel
usw.) ausser Reichweite von Kindern (Erstickungs- oder

– Tauchen Sie das Motorgehäuse nie in Wasser, da dies
Brände, elektrische Schläge oder Verletzungen verursa-
chen könnte.
– Denken Sie daran, dass es sich um ein Elektrogerät han-
delt. Während der Reinigung das Motorgehäuse darf
diese nicht an den Strom angeschlossen sein.
– Schalten Sie das Gehäuse am Hauptschalter aus, und zie-
hen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, um das Gerät vom
Strom zu trennen.
– Ziehen Sie immer am Stecker und nicht am Kabel, um das
Gerät vom Strom zu trennen.
– Beim Mixen von heißen Flüssigkeiten den Deckel der
Nachfüllöffnung (Mittelteil der zweiteiligen Abdeckung)
entfernen und alle für das Ausgießen vorgesehenen
Öffnungen am Rand schließen.
– Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur mit einem feuchten Tuch.
– Lassen Sie das Netzkabel nicht über die Kante von Tisch
oder Arbeitsfläche hängen bzw. mit heissen Oberflächen
in Berührung kommen.
– Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, wenn Sie den
Blender nicht verwenden, Teile anbringen oder wegneh-
men oder bevor Sie ihn reinigen.
– Nehmen Sie kein elektrisches Gerät in Betrieb, wenn
Netzkabel oder Stecker beschädigt sind, nachdem
Fehlfunktionen aufgetreten sind oder wenn das Gerät auf
irgendeine Art beschädigt wurde. Bringen Sie das Gerät in
diesem Fall zur Kontrolle, Reparatur oder Einstellung zum
nächstgelegenen autorisierten Servicestützpunkt.
– Versuchen Sie nie das Netzkabel des Geräts auszutauschen,
da hierfür Spezialwerkzeuge erforderlich sind. Lassen
Sie die Reparatur oder den Austausch des Netzkabels
ausschliesslich in einer vom Hersteller autorisierten
Servicewerkstätte durchführen, um die Sicherheit des
Geräts zu gewährleisten.
– VORSICHT: Um die Gefahr eines Wiedereinschaltens der
Sicherheitsabschaltung zu vermeiden, darf das Gerät
nicht über eine externe Schaltvorrichtung wie beispiels-
weise eine Zeitschaltuhr versorgt werden oder mit einem
Stromkreis verbunden sein, der regelmässig durch das
Stromversorgungsunternehmen ein- und ausgeschaltet
wird.
– Das Messer ist scharf, behandeln Sie es sehr vorsichtig.
– Berühren Sie keine sich drehende Teile.
– Das Blinklicht zeigt die Betriebsbereitschaft an.
Kontakt mit Messern vermeiden. Bekleidungsstücke,
Schmuck, Finger, Haare und Utensilien von sich dre-
henden Teilen fernhalten, um schwere Verletz-
ungen an Personen und Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden.

– Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gerät ausgesteckt ist,
bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen oder es nicht gebraucht wird.
– Nehmen Sie den Blender nur mit sicher befestigtem
Deckel in Betrieb.
INSTALLATION
– Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine stabile, ebene Oberfläche,
die weder heiss ist noch sich in der Nähe einer Hitzequelle
befindet. Die Oberfläche muss trocken sein. Halten Sie
das Gerät und das Netzkabel ausser Reichweite von
Kindern.
– Überprüfen Sie, ob die auf dem Typenschild des
Geräts angegebene Spannung mit der Netzspannung
in Ihrer Region übereinstimmt. (Verwenden Sie einen
Fehlerstromschutzschalter (RCD), fragen Sie einen
Elektriker um Rat.) Während der Verwendung des Geräts
muss die Steckdose im Notfall gut zugänglich sein.
– Ist die Steckdose für den Stecker Ihres Geräts nicht geeig-
net, müssen Sie die Steckdose durch einen geprüften
Elektriker austauschen lassen.
POLARITÄT
Nur für Kunden in den USA und Kanada
Dieses Gerät ist mit einem verpolungssicheren Stecker,
ausgestattet. (Ein Anschluss ist breiter als der Andere).
Um Stromschläge zu verhindern, passt dieser Stecker nur
auf eine Art in eine verpolungssichere Steckdose. Falls der
Stecker nicht in die Steckdose passt, drehen Sie ihn um. Passt
er noch immer nicht, setzen Sie sich mit einem qualifizierten
Elektriker in Verbindung. Versuchen Sie nicht, den Stecker
auf irgendeine Art zu verändern.

VOR GEBRAUCH DES BLENDERS
Reinigen Sie den Blender vor dem ersten Gebrauch. Siehe
Kapitel WARTUNG, REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE.
SO VERWENDEN SIE DEN BLENDER
– Verstauen Sie das überschüssige Kabel im Kabelfach im
Gerätefuss (9).
– Setzen Sie den Mixbecher (3) so auf das Motorgehäuse (4),
dass er nicht wackelt.
– Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine geerdete Steckdose.
MIXVORGANG
HINWEIS:
WENN EINE DER TASTEN LEUCHTET ODER DER BLENDER IN
BETRIEB IST, BERÜHREN SIE NIE DAS MESSER, BEHINDERN
SIE NICHT DIE BEWEGUNG DES MESSERS, ENTFERNEN SIE NIE
DEN DECKEL DES MIXBECHERS ODER BENUTZEN SIE NIE EIN
WERKZEUG, UM DEN INHALT IM MIXBECHER ZU VERTEILEN.
NEHMEN SIE DEN MIXBECHER NIE VOM MOTORGEHÄUSE,
WÄHREND ES LÄUFT.
– Verarbeiten Sie maximal ½-Zoll-/ 1.5 cm-grosse Stücke.
– Zerkleinern Sie nur 12 bis 14 Standard-Eiswürfeln. Sie
können ab und zu mit einem Gummispachtel umrühren,
wenn das Gerät am Hauptschalter ausgeschaltet ist.
– Kühlen Sie heisse Zutaten vor dem Mixvorgang auf maxi-
mal 80°C/ 176°F. Beginnen Sie mit der Geschwindigkeit
Eiszerkleinerung/ Rühren, und erhöhen Sie nach und nach
die Geschwindigkeit.
– Wenn Sie mit einem vollen Mixbecher oder heissem Inhalt
bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten ( , ) arbeiten, halten Sie
das Gerät an, bevor Sie die Deckelkappe abnehmen und
weitere Zutaten hinzugeben.
– Kochende Flüssigkeiten und feste gefrorene
Nahrungsmittel dürfen nicht verarbeitet werden.
– Verarbeiten Sie max. ½ zoll/1.5cm grosse Lebensmittel-
stücke.
– Lassen Sie stets den Mixbecher abkühlen, wenn Sie ihn
aus der heissen Spülmaschine genommen haben. Füllen
Sie ihn erst dann mit Eis, gefrorene oder sehr kalte
Zutaten.
– Die Konsistenz der Masse kann sich ändern, sobald man
Zutaten hinzufügt. Je nach dem wird eine höhere oder
niedrigere Stufe benötigt.

WICHTIG:
NACH 2 MINUTEN IM DAUERBETRIEB MUSS DER BLENDER
AUSGESCHALTET WERDEN UND EINE PAUSE VON 5 MINUTEN
EINGELEGT WERDEN, UM EIN ÜBERHITZEN DES MOTORS ZU
VERMEIDEN. NACH 5 ZYKLEN MUSS DER BLENDER 15 MINU-
TEN ABKÜHLEN.
– Geben Sie die Zutaten in den Mixbecher (3). Füllen Sie
ihn bis max. 1.25l/40oz. Bei schäumender und heisser
Flüssigkeit nur bis 1.0l/34oz.
– Setzen Sie den Deckel (2) so auf den Mixbecher, dass
der Ausguss verschlossen ist (A: GESCHLOSSEN( )über
dem Ausguss) . Drücken Sie ihn hierzu fest nach unten
bis zum Anschlag. Setzen Sie die Deckelkappe (1) in die
Deckelöffnung ein.
– Schalten Sie den Hauptschalter (10) ein. Das Licht leuchtet
auf. Die START-Taste (7) blinkt nun und zeigt, dass der
Blender betriebsbereit ist.
– Wählen Sie mit dem Geschwindigkeitsregler (5) die ge-
wünschte Geschwindigkeit.
– Drücken Sie die START-Taste (7), um das Gerät zu starten.

die Deckelkappe (1) und arbeiten Sie nur bei .
– Drücken Sie die STOP-Taste (8) , um den Mixvorgang zu beenden.
– Wenn Sie stattdessen den Mixvorgang über die PULSE-
Taste (6) steuern möchten, drücken Sie die PULSE-Taste
und halten Sie sie gedrückt, bis Sie den Mixvorgang unter-
brechen möchten. Der Motor bleibt solange im Betrieb,
bis sie die Taste loslassen. Während des Mixvorgangs
bleibt die PULSE-Taste aufgeleuchtet.
– Halten Sie das Gerät nach einigen Minuten an und kont-
rollieren Sie die Konsistenz des Inhalts. Bei Bedarf können
Sie mit einem Spachtel den Inhalt im Mixbecher verteilen.
NACH DEM MIXEN SCHALTEN SIE DAS GERÄT AM

NACH VERWENDUNG DES BLENDERS
– Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist,
indem Sie kontrollieren, dass keine Tasten mehr leuchten.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Reinigen
Sie alle abnehmbaren Teile stets unmittelbar nach dem
Gebrauch.

– Das Gerät ist mit Saugnapffüssen ausgestattet. Heben Sie
daher das Gehäuse vorsichtig an.
WARTUNG, REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
– Bevor Sie den Blender reinigen, unbedingt den Stecker
ziehen.
– Es dürfen keine Scheuermittel verwendet werden.
– Der Mixbecher kann ohne Demontage gereinigt werden.
Stellen Sie den Becher auf das Motorgehäuse. Füllen
Sie ihn bis zu einem Viertel mit lauwarmem Wasser und
fügen Sie einige Tropfen Spülmittel hinzu. Setzen Sie den
Deckel und die Deckelkappe auf den Becher und lassen Sie
den Motor auf der Stufe für 5 bis 10 Sekunden laufen.
Spülen Sie den Becher mit warmem Wasser gründlich aus.
– Der Deckel und die Deckelkappe können im warmem
Wasser und Spülmittel gereinigt werden. Trocknen Sie sie
gründlich.
– Mixbecher, Deckel und Deckelkappe können auch in der
Spülmaschine gereinigt werden. (Deckel und Deckelkappe
nur im oberen Fach).
– Das gesamte Motorgehäuse des Blenders darf nur mit
einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden. Vergewissern Sie
sich vorher, dass es nicht an den Strom angeschlossen ist.
– Tauchen Sie das Motorgehäuse, den Netzstecker und das
Kabel nie in Wasser: denken Sie daran, dass es sich um ein
Elektrogerät handelt.
– Alle weiteren Wartungsarbeiten müssen von einem zuge-
lassenen Fachbetrieb ausgeführt werden.
AUFBEWAHRUNG
– Bewahren Sie das Kabel immer im Kabelfach (9) auf.
– Das Gerät darf nicht an den Strom angeschlossen sein,
wenn es nicht verwendet wird.
STÖRUNGEN
Bei Störungen, defektem Gerät oder Verdacht auf Defekt
nach einem Sturz sofort Netzstecker ziehen. Lassen Sie
das Gerät durch die nächste autorisierte BODUM®Filiale
überprüfen und allenfalls reparieren. Reparaturen an dem
Blender dürfen nur durch autorisiertes Servicepersonal
durchgeführt werden. Durch nicht fachgerechte Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen.
Bei unfachgerechten Reparaturen kann keine Haftung für
eventuelle Schäden übernommen werden. In diesem Fall
erlischt auch der Garantieanspruch.

– Lisez attentivement toutes les instructions avant d’utiliser
l’appareil pour la première fois. Le non-respect des instruc-
tions et des consignes de sécurité peut vous exposer à des
dangers.
– Une fois l’appareil déballé, vérifiez qu’il n’est pas endom-
magé. En cas de doute, ne l’utilisez pas et prenez contact
avec votre revendeur.
– Conservez les matériaux d’emballage (carton, sacs en plas-
tique, etc.) hors de portée des enfants (risque d’asphyxie
ou de blessure).
– Ce mixeur est réservé à un usage domestique. Ne l’utilisez
pas à l’extérieur.

MODE D’EMPLOI
– N’immergez jamais le socle-moteur dans l’eau pour éviter
les décharges électriques. N’oubliez pas qu’il s’agit d’un
appareil électrique.
– Nettoyez le corps de l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon humide
uniquement.
– Éteignez l’appareil et débranchez le câble de la prise élec-
trique pour isoler l’appareil.
– Lorsque vous débranchez le câble de la prise électrique,
saisissez la fiche, jamais le câble.
– Lors du mixage de liquides chauds, ôtez le bouchon du
couvercle (pièce centrale du couvercle en deux pièces) et
fermez toutes les ouvertures du bord du couvercle desti-
nées au versement.
– Ne laissez pas le câble pendre du bord d’une table ou
d’un plan de travail ou entrer en contact avec des surfaces
chaudes, y compris une cuisinière.
– Débranchez le mixeur du secteur lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé,
avant de fixer ou d’ôter les accessoires, ou avant de le net-
toyer.
– N’utilisez pas un appareil dont la fiche ou le câble est
endommagé ou en cas d’anomalie de fonctionnement ou
de détérioration quelconque. Remettez-le plutôt au centre
de réparation agréé le plus proche afin qu’il soit contrôlé,
réparé ou réglé.
– Ne tentez jamais de remplacer le câble, des outils spéciaux
sont nécessaires. Les réparations et le remplacement du
câble doivent être confiés à un centre de réparation agréé
par le fabricant de manière à garantir la sécurité de l’appa-
reil.
– Ne plongez jamais le câble, le socle-moteur ou la fiche dans
de l’eau ou d’autres liquides, cela pourrait entraîner un
incendie, une décharge électrique ou des blessures.
– ATTENTION : pour éviter de neutraliser le système d’arrêt
de sécurité, l’appareil ne doit pas être déclenché par un
commutateur extérieur tel qu’un minuteur, ni être branché
à un circuit électrique régulièrement allumé et éteint par
l’entreprise productrice d’électricité.
– L’appareil doit être débranché du secteur lors du net-
toyage.
– Les lames sont tranchantes ; manipulez-les avec précaution.
– Ne touchez aucun composant, ni accessoire en rotation.
– La lampe qui clignote indique que l’appareil est prêt à
fonctionner. Evitez tout contact avec les lames. Gardez les
vêtements, les bijoux, les cheveux, les doigts et les usten-

manière à éviter des blessures graves et des détériorations
