BODUM AUSTRALIA WARRANTY
We are pleased to say that the return rate on BODUM® product is very low; however, should you
need to process a returned BODUM® product under warranty, please follow the simple procedure
below. We have tried to make it as simple as possible for both yourself and the end consumer.
BODUM AUSTRALIA WARRANTY PROCEDURE
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for
any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Consumers are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount
to a major failure.
The beneits to BODUM® customers given by the warranty set out below are in addition to other
rights and remedies under a law in relation to the BODUM® product to which the warranty relates.
To process a faulty BODUM® product you will require a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Returned items without a RA number are not able to be processed for credit or replacement.
Contact BODUM® on [phone] for a RA number.
Faulty product does not include items which have incurred wear and tear through general home
use, misuse or commercial use. Warranty does not include accidental glass breakages.
Warranty period:
e-Bodum®: 2 year replacement warranty from the date of purchase for electrical appliances
where a defect appears and BODUM® is notiied within 2 years from date of purchase.
Proof of purchase: any claim from the end consumer must be validated with a copy of proof of
purchase; without providing a proof of purchase BODUM® Australia will not be able to process
the claim. Proof of purchase includes original purchase receipt/docket or credit card statement
showing the purchase amount.
Replacement or credit: once claim is validated, if possible please replace the faulty item from
stock on hand. If a customer requires a replacement for an item which you don’t have on hand,
please have the item added to your next order.
Return or work order: to ensure that the return process is as easy as possible for both you and
the end consumer, we don’t do work orders or product repairs.
Once you have received a RA number and sighted the product please safely dispose of the faulty
item. We don’t require the faulty product to be sent back to us. However, if you come across an
unusual fault which you think we need to be aware of please send it back to BODUM® Australia
Head Oice.

Children should not ply with the pplince. Clening nd

supervision.

1. Remove the scle from the pckging.
Choking hzrd! Keep pckging
mterils out of rech of young children.
2. Insert three AAA btteries.
3. Plce the pltform correctly, so the
disply is esily visible.
Plce the scle on  lt, irm surfce - this is
essentil for correct mesurement.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the
scle. As soon s "0" ppers, the scle is
redy for use.
If you put  bowl on the scle before

switching it on, the weight of the bowl will be
included nd the disply will show "0". You
my then put your items into the bowl for
direct reding of their weight.
When the scle is in use nd you wnt to use
 bowl for weighing, you cn simply plce
 bowl on the scle nd press the ON/OFF
button to reset to zero.
If you wnt to reset the scle to zero, press
the ON/OFF button.
The scle cn be restrted repetedly when
in use.
To switch OFF the scle, press nd hold the
ON/OFF button for 2 seconds until the LCD
disply is switched o.
The mximum weighing cpcity of the scle
is 5000g. The disply will show "Err" if the
scle is overloded.
Scle division:
1200g=0,1g/200500g=0,5g/5005000g=1g
The displyed unit cn be chnged from g/ml
to lb/oz nd the other wy round by pushing
the button (8) on the
bottom of the scle.
Once the unit hs been converted, it will sty
in this mode when it is next used.
TIMER Switch on the scle; when "0" ppers on the
disply, the scle is redy for use.
Press the TIMER button to strt timer.
Press the TIMER button to stop timer.

To reset the timer press the TIMER button for
2 seconds.
The mximum timer time is 99 minutes.
The scle’s bcklight will help you monitor the
whole
brewing process.
After the irst 30 seconds the bcklight will
blink to indicte blooming’s durtion. The
timer will keep counting
nd will blink gin fter 4 minutes when
optiml brewing time is over.

pressing the ON/OFF button nd holding it
for pprox. 2 seconds until the
disply is blnk.
In order to prolong bttery life, the bck light
is switched o utomticlly if no buttons
re operted or no weight is
chnged nd if the timer is not set.
If ny button is operted or weight
chnged, the blcklight will come on gin
utomticlly.
Hence, if there hsn’t been ny ction
involving either the weight or timer, the scle
will be power o utomticlly
fter 2 minutes.
When "Lo" ppers on the disply, the
bttery must be
replced. The scle requires 3 AAA btteries.
The bttery comprtment is locted on the
underside of the scle.

To replce the btteries, you hve to open
the bttery
cover nd remove the used btteries.
Before you plce the new btteries in the
comprtment, plese mke sure the
btteries re instlled with the correct
polrity (+)/(–).
Non-rechrgeble btteries should not be
rechrged.
Rechrgeble btteries should be removed
from the
pplince before being chrged.
If the pplince is to be stored unused for 
long period, the btteries should be removed.
The supply terminls should not be
short-circuited.
Note: To prevent hrm to the environment,
used btteries should be disposed of through
your electricl deler or locl resource
recycling collection point.

body nd with the other hnd hold the
pltform.
2. Crefully push the pltform bckwrds.
3. Once the pltform is detched, tke it o
by lifting it upwrd.
ATTENTION: Never lift the pltform with
out hving it unplugged from the scle.
This would dmge the item.
NOTE: Alwys use the scle with the
pltform plugged in.

WIEGEN Stellen Sie die Wge uf eine ebene, feste
Unterlge – ds ist wichtig für die richtige
Messung.
Drücken Sie die EIN/AUSTste, um die Wge
einzuschlten Sobld "0" ngezeigt wird, ist
die Wge einstzbereit.
Wenn Sie eine Schüssel uf die Wge
stellen, bevor Sie sie einschlten, wird ds
Gewicht der Schüssel einbezogen und die
Anzeige wird "0" nzeigen. Sie können dnn
Ihre Gegenstnde zum direkten Ablesen ihres
Gewichts in die Schüssel geben.
Wenn die Wge benutzt wird und Sie eine
Schüssel zum Wiegen verwenden möchten,
dnn können Sie einfch eine Schüssel uf
die Wge stellen und die EIN/AUSTste
drücken, um uf Null zurückzusetzen.
Wenn Sie die Wge uf Null zurücksetzen
möchten, drücken Sie die EIN / AUSTste.
Die Wge knn wiederholt in Betrieb
genommen werden.
Um die Wge uszuschlten, drücken und
hlten Sie die EIN/AUSTste für 2 Sekunden,
bis die LCDAnzeige usgeschltet wird.
Die mximle Wiegekpzitt der Wge ist
5000g. Die Anzeige wird "Err"nzeigen, wenn
die Wge überlstet ist.
Sklenteilung:
1200g=0,1g/200500g=0,5g/5005000g=1g
Die ngezeigte Einheit knn durch Drücken
der Tste (8) uf dem Boden der Wge

Um die Zeitschltuhr zurückzusetzen,
drücken Sie die ZEITSCHALTUHRTste für 2
Sekunden.
Die mximle Zeitschltuhrzeit betrgt 99
Minuten.
Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung der Wge wird
Ihnen helfen, den gnzen bruprozess zu
überwchen.
Nch den ersten 30 Sekunden wird die
Hintergrundbeleuchtung blinken, um die
Duer der Auhellung nzuzeigen. Die
Zeitschltuhr wird weiterzhlen.und nch 4
Minuten erneut blinken, wenn die optimle
brühzeit bgelufen ist.
Sie können die Wge jederzeit usschlten,
indem Sie die EIN/AUS- Tste drücken und
sie für ungefhr 2 Sekunden hlten, bis die
Anzeige leer wird.
Um die Lebensduer der Btterie zu ver-
lngern, wird die Hintergrundbeleuchtung
Wenn ds Gert umgestellt wurde, dnn wird
es bei der nchsten Verwendung in diesem
Modus bleiben.

muss die Btterie usgetuscht werden.
Die Wge benötigt 3 AAABtterien. Ds
Btteriefch beindet sich uf der Unterseite
der Wge.
Um die Btterien zu ersetzen, müssen Sie ds
Btteriefch önen und die leeren Btterien
entfernen. Bevor Sie die neuen Btterien in
ds Btteriefch einsetzen, vergewissern Sie
sich bitte, dss die Btterien mit der richtigen
Polritt (+)/(-) eingesetzt sind.
Nicht wiederuldbre Btterien sollten
nicht verwendet werden.
Wiederuldbre Btterien sollten vor dem
Lden us dem Gert entfernt werden.
Wenn ds Gert für lngere Zeit nicht benutzt
wird, sollten die Btterien entfernt werden.
Die Stromversorgungsnschlüsse dürfen
nicht kurzgeschlossen werden.
Hinweis: Um Umweltschden zu

Ds ußere Gehuse der Wge knn mit
einem feuchten Tuch bgewischt werden
und die Plttform knn in den Geschirrspüler
gestellt werden.
Setzen Sie die Wge nicht Feuer, direktem
Sonnenlicht oder suren Substnzen us.
Lgern Sie die Wge nur, wenn sie trocken
ist.
bei Ihrem Elektrofchhndler oder bei
der Smmelstelle für lokle Ressourcen-
Recycling entsorgt werden.
