1.General
This machine has been developed and built to allow a safe use and maintenance. This
applies to the application, circumstances and guide lines, as described in this
documentation. Reading this documentation is a must for every one working with this
machine.
All technical information and the given drawings remain the property of BOMECON
Nijkerk and may not be used without written permission.
The information in this user guide has been based on the most recent information
available. They are provided with the restriction of possible later modifications.
This user guide contains useful and important information for a proper operation and
maintenance of the machine. Also it contains important information to prevent accidents
and damages when installing and running the machine. Following the directions will
allow a safe and trouble-
free operation of the machine.

2.3 Functie van de Combi-steker 6500:
The Combi – Steker is a device that has been especially developed to be hung in the crane
hook, in order to safely load and unload building materials, directly inside the front line.
The Combi – Steker which has a central point of rotation and counter balance arm – is an
universal device to which a safety swivel has been connected, that can carry a four leg
sling , a pallet fork, or a stone-clamp. It is also possible to connect a lifting beam and
fork to insert window frames and place cavity walls
.

3.How to put the Combi-Steker into operation.
3.1 Slinging on the Combi Steker
:
Sling on the Combi Steker by placing it into the crane hook.(Use tilting yoke with the
right working load limit, Should meet the performance requirements of Federal
Specifications).

The location of the tilting yoke is indicated in above figure 3.1. The tilting yoke - with
anchor shackles and master link – is part of the Combi Steker. Warning: the above
instruction have to be followed for a safe operation of the Combi Steker.
Always check before use the cotter pin. Use bolt type anchor shackles with a thin head
bolt-nut and cotter pin !

3.2 Adjustment of the Combi Steker
It is of utmost importance for Bomecon to know:
•The depth of inserting (the arm).
•The working load
This information will determine the type of Combi-steker and the maximum ballast load.
The user must at all times adhere to the loading limits as instructed by Bomecon.
Bomecon will provide a loading diagram to determine the ballast. See loading diagram.
Do never hoist more than the effective load ( inserting depth x load) as instructed by
Bomecon.

3.2.2 Adjustment of the counter ballast blocks
The counter weight can be adjusted by sliding the balance weight required, around the
adjustable socket. Consult the loading diagram provided by Bomecon.

3.3 Adjustment of the front head arm

The front head arm is adjustable in length and has a number of tab holes which allow the
user to change the length. Determine the length on basis of the loading diagram and
place the pin into the tab hole of the frame and close with a locking pin

3.4
General safety rules:
•It is prohibited to hoist more than the maximum permitted load.
•When working with a pallet hook, one must check carefully whether the load is
well placed on the pallet and whether the load is wrapped around with foil or
nylon straps. It is forbidden to move a pallet with loosely stacked material.
•It is prohibited to hoist the load attached to the packaging material.
•It is prohibited to use the Combi-Steker for the transport of persons.
•It is at all times forbidden to be under the load during or after hoisting.
•Control the Combi-Steker regularly on deformation and breakage. If required you
should consult an expert mechanic. After reparation the Combi-Steker has to be
tested again!
•The Combi-Steker has to be tested with a trial load of two times the working load
according to the European Standard NEN-EN 13155
-after production
-after intense usage
-after reparation
-at least once a year
Consult your manufacturer for information on this procedure.
•Safety is crucial. Therefore careful control is necessary when one knows or
supposes that the Combi-Steker has been overloaded.
It is absolutely forbidden to align the parts by means of glowing.
3.5 It is forbidden to use the Combi-Steker in any circumstance which is not in
accordance with the nature, specifications or instructions laid down in this user
guide. When in doubt, always consult Bomecon.

4. Maintenance
For a proper maintenance one should carry out the following activities, on a monthly
basis.
•Control hinge pins and bearing bushes on play and replace parts if required.
•Control all pivot points.
•Repair damages in time.
•Control spring clips, tab hole pins and replace if necessary.
The maintenance activities, mentioned in the operation instructions may only be executed
by expert mechanics.
In view of safety, maintenance activities may not be executed at the Combi-Steker during
hoisting. The Combi-Steker must stand on a fixed basis
