1. Assemble the complete housing
unit (key #2) and the base
casting (key #3) by inserting the
Hex Head Bolts (key #014).
2. Attach the complete housing unit
and base casting to the board
(key #9) by inserting the 1/2"
carriage bolts (key #15) into the
bottom of the board. Place the
base casting and housing on top
of the board and carriage bolts
(be sure that neither edge of the
base casting is flush with the
edge of the board).

3. ext place the 1/2" flat washer
(key #16) and 1/2" nut (key #17)
on the carriage bolt and then
tighten the 1/2" nut.

Please check your boxes to make sure you have all the required pieces.
5. Insert the 54" steel
handle (key #8) into one
of the sockets on the
complete housing unit
(key #2) and your unit is
ready to use.
6. For easy storage of Bon’s
Rebar Cutter/Bender place
the steel bar into a socket
on the housing unit, and
pull the handle down until
it hits the board (key #9).
Move the handle clip
(key #5) over the end of
the 54" steel handle and
tighten the handle clip
down with the 1/4" wing
nuts (key #20).

4. To attach the handle clip (key #5) to
the board line up the slots on the
handle clip with the holes in the
board. Insert the 1/4" carriage bolt
(key #18) from the bottom of the
board and through the handle clip.
Then place the 1/4" flat washer
(key #19) and 1/4" wing nut (key
#20) on the carriage bolt and
tighten the 1/4" wing nut.

2. Position your rebar to desired length and then exert
enough downward pressure on the handle
(key #8).
Unit is equipped with 3/4" opening
which will cut up to 5/8" rebar.
1. Line up the bending arm to its lowest
position so that cutter-bushings
(key #13) are in cutting position.

ALWAY WEAR AFETY GLA E WHEN OPERATING
UNIT TO AVOID INJURY.
1. Line up the bending arm so that it is in its lowest
position (parallel to the roller (key #11)), and then
slide the rebar on the roller and into the bending
arm.
3. While standing on the
board (key #9) exert
sufficient downward
pressure on the
handle (key #8) to cut
the rebar.
3. In order to make tighter bends remove handle from
one socket and position in another socket and
continue to bend rebar.

• Always operate unit on a solid, level area
• Make sure that nuts and bolts are tight and secure before using
• Operator should have solid footing when using the rebar cutter/bender, once
rebar is cut pressure is suddenly released
• Always wear eye protection when operating unit

MAINTENANCE
• Unit should be greased everyday when in use, using the grease fitting (key #10)
• After use unit should be cleaned of all debris
• Disassemble as often as necessary to clean and repack the bearing set (key #7)
with grease
• Replace broken or badly worn parts as soon as possible to keep unit in good
working condition. Call (724) 443-7080 for replacement parts.
• If cutter-bushings (key #13) become chipped or dulled change cutting side of
the cutter-bushing by removing and flipping cutting edge to other side.
REBAR CUTTER/BENDER COMES WITH A ONE YEAR WARRANTY ON
PARTS AND WORKMANSHIP. WARRANTY IS VOID IF ATTEMPTING TO
CUT NO GRADE REBAR, OR OTHER MATERIALS IN WHICH UNIT IS
NOT INTENDED

2. Insert the rebar through the cutting
hole in the hub w/bushing to the
desired length (add two inches from
the back plate (key #4) for actual
cutting length).
NOTE: BE SURE NOT TO CUT
NO GRADE REBAR ITH THIS
CUTTER AS THIS ILL VOID
