1 Safety
Observe the following safety instructions.
1.1 General information
¡Read this instruction manual carefully.
¡Keep the instruction manual and the product information safe
for future reference or for the next owner.
¡Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in transit.
1.2 Intended use
The appliance can only be used safely if it is correctly installed in
accordance with the installation instructions. The customer is re-
sponsible for ensuring that the appliance is properly installed.
Only use this appliance:
¡for cooking purposes with Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
¡Under supervision. Never leave the appliance unattended when
cooking.
¡In a private household and in a domestic environment.
Do not use the appliance:
¡On boats or in vehicles.
¡as a room heater.
¡For drying towels, clothes, etc. over it.
1.3 Restriction of the user group
Do not allow children to use this appliance without supervision.
1.4 Safe use
WARNING‒Risk of explosion!
Escaping gas may cause an explosion. WHAT TO DO IF YOU
SMELL GAS OR IF THERE ARE FAULTS IN THE GAS INSTALLA-
TION
▶Immediately shut off the gas supply or close the gas cylinder
valve.
▶Immediately extinguish all naked flames and cigarettes.

▶Do not operate any light switches or appliance switches.
▶Open windows and ventilate the room.
▶Call customer service or the gas supplier.
Escaping gas may cause an explosion. Small amounts of gas can
collect over a longer period of time and ignite.
▶Close the regulator valve for the gas supply when the appliance
is out of use for prolonged periods.
Escaping gas may cause an explosion. If the liquefied gas bottle
is not upright, liquefied gas(LPG) can enter the appliance. Intense
darting flames may therefore escape from the burners. Compon-
ents may become damaged and start to leak over time so that
gas escapes uncontrollably.
▶Always use liquefied gas bottles in an upright position.
If the appliance is moved carelessly, gas may escape.
▶If you move the appliance do not disturb the gas supply or pipe.
WARNING‒Risk of suffocation!
Using the gas cooking appliance leads to a build-up of heat,
moisture and combustion products in the room where the appli-
ance is installed.
▶Ensure that the kitchen is sufficiently ventilated, in particular
when operating the gas cooking appliance.
▶If the appliance is used intensively and for prolonged periods,
ensure that there is additional ventilation so that the combustion
products are safely fed to the outside, e.g. if using existing vent-
ilation equipment, set a higher performance level and, at the
same time, ensure that the air is replaced with fresh air in the
room where the appliance is installed.
▶Consult specialist personnel when installing additional ventila-
tion equipment.
WARNING‒Risk of fire!
Leaving fat or oil cooking on an unattended cooktop can be dan-
gerous and may lead to fires.
▶Never leave hot oil or fat unattended.
▶Never attempt to extinguish a fire using water; instead, switch
off the appliance and then cover with a lid or a fire blanket.

The appliance becomes very hot.
▶Never place flammable objects on the cooktop or in its immedi-
ate vicinity.
▶Never store any objects on the cooktop.
The appliance becomes very hot, fabrics and other objects may
ignite.
▶Keep fabrics (e.g. garments or curtains) away from the flames.
▶Never reach over the flames.
▶Do not place combustible objects (e.g. tea towels or newspa-
pers) on, next to or behind the appliance.
Escaping gas may ignite.
▶If the burner does not ignite after 5seconds, turn the control
knob to the "Off" position and open the door or window in the
room. Do not attempt to re-ignite the burner for at least one
minute.
▶In the event of the burner flames being accidentally extin-
guished, turn off the burner control knob. Do not attempt to re-
ignite the burner for at least one minute.
Food may catch fire.
▶The cooking process must be continuously monitored.
WARNING‒Risk of burns!
Empty cookware becomes extremely hot when set on gas burners
that are operating.
▶Never heat up empty cookware.
The appliance becomes hot during operation.
▶Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
WARNING‒Risk of injury!
Faults or damage to the appliance and repairs that have not been
carried out correctly are dangerous.
▶Never switch on the appliance if there is a fault with it.
▶Always have repairs carried out to the appliance and damaged
gas lines replaced by trained, specialist personnel.

An appliance with a cracked or broken glass surface can cause
cuts.
▶Do not use the appliance if it has a cracked or broken glass
surface.
▶Do not hammer the glass.
▶Do not keep vessels on the glass surface.
Strong temperature fluctuations may cause the glass to break.
▶When using the cooktop, avoid draughts and spilling cold and
hot liquids.
▶Do not pour water on the glass when it is hot.
Cookware that is not the right size, or that is damaged or incor-
rectly positioned may cause serious injuries.
▶Baati, Taandor, inverted vessel or similar utensils shall be used
only with baati stand provided with the cooktop.
▶See the notes on cookware.
WARNING‒Risk of suffocation!
Children may put packaging material over their heads or wrap
themselves up in it and suffocate.
▶Keep packaging material away from children.
▶Do not let children play with packaging material.
Children may breathe in or swallow small parts, causing them to
suffocate.

2. Take all other parts and the ac-
companying documents out of the
packaging. Save all parts for using
afterwards.

4. Remove any protective film or
stickers.
5. Check the cooktop and parts for
any damage in transit.

4.1 Installing and connecting
the appliance
The gas connection must be estab-
lished via a gas hose or a fixed con-
nection.
WARNING
Risk of explosion!
Escaping gas may cause an explo-
sion
▶If the alignment of the gas inlet
nozzle has to be changed to allow
connection to a gas cylinder, con-
tact customer service.

▶Ensure that electrical appliances or
fuel-burning appliances are in-
stalled at a safe distance from the
LPG installation: as the cooker, the
hose, the regulator and the gas
cylinder.
Note
Observe this information when you
are using a gas hose:
¡The hose clamp is not included.
Hose clamps are available at any
hardware shops.
¡The gas hose must be short and
completely leak-tight.
¡Do not extend the gas hose from
one room to another. Do not route
the gas hose through doors, win-
dows, walls, separating walls, con-
crete plates, ceilings or floors.
¡An approved connection to the
gas connection must be secured.
Use a gas hose approved by the
local authorities for the gas con-
nection. We recommend using an
ISI-labelled gas hose.

¡We recommend exchanging the
gas hose at least once a year.
ATTENTION!
Incorrect installation may damage the
appliance.
▶Do not use force to install the ap-
pliance. If you have difficulty as-
sembling the appliance, contact
the customer service.

1. Place the gas cylinder on a level
surface. Do not tip the gas cylinder
or placed it horizontally when in
use.
2. Fit the flexible safety gas hose and
use a screw connection or a cable
clamp to tighten it securely.
3. Secure the gas hose securely to
the appliance to prevent a gas
leak.
