Drying Emptying condensation
Empty the container after each dry ing cycle, not during drying!
1. Remove the container, holding it level.
2. Pour out condensation.
3. Push the .container back in until i t clicks into place.
Cleaning the fluff filter
1. Open the door, remove the filte r and fold open.
2. Remove the fluff (by wiping the filter with you r hand).
3. Close the filter, insert it again and close the doo r.
4. Remove fluff from the door and th e area around it.
Very dirty or blocked filters should be rinsed under warm
water, and then dried thoroughly.
Clean the filter in the water tank if it is dirty
1. Remove the condensation tank.
2. Remove the filter.
3. Clean the filter under running water.
4. Re-insert the filter and push in the c ondensation tank until it clicks into
place.
Switching off the dryer
Turn the programme selector to Off.
Do not leave damp laundry in the dryer .
Removing the laundry
The automatic Easy Iron function moves the drum at certain intervals. The load remain s loose and soft for
an hour (or two hours if you manually sele ct the cReduced Ironing function, depending on the model.)

Follow the manufacturer's care information.

Do not tumble-dry the foll owing fabrics:
– Airtight fabrics (e.g. r ubber-coated fabrics).
– Delicate materi als (silk, curtains mad e from synthetic material) ath ey may crease.
– Oil-stained laundry.
Drying tips
– To ensure a consistent result, sort the laundry by fabric type and drying programme.
– Close zips, hooks and eyes, and do up any buttons.
Tie belts, apron strings etc. together.
– Do not overdry easy-care lau ndry arisk of creasing
Allow laundry to finish drying in the a ir.
– Do not iron laundry immediately after drying, fold items up and leave for a while
athe remaining moisture will th en be distributed evenly.
– The d rying result depends on the type of water used during washing. aFine adjustment
of the drying result aPage 1/2.
– Knitte dfab rics (e.g. T-shirts, jerseys) often shrink slightly the first time they are tumble -dried.
aDo not select the Extra Dry programme.
– Starched laundry i s not always suitab le for dryers astarch leaves behind a coating that
adversely affects the drying op eration.
– When washing laundry that is to be tumb le-dried afterwards, dose the fabric s oftener
according to the manufactu rer's instructions.
– With a small load, use the Ti med Program.
Tips for Steam Dry / Steam Refresh
– Use your dryer for unwrinkling and refreshi ng fabrics.
– Short spin cycle for reduc ing creasing.
– Refresh cycle for reducinging od ours from fabrics.
Do not use Steam Dry / Steam Refresh fo r the following fabrics:
– Wool, leather, fabrics with meta l, wooden or plastic parts.
– Wax and oil jackets .
– Sort the laundry by colour and put on separate sh ort Steam Dry / Steam Refresh cycles
to prevent the colours from bleeding.
– These programmes do not rem ove stains astains must be treate d and removed
beforehand.
– For best results, so that the laundry will have as few creases as possible, remove eac hi tem
immediately after the programme has finished and hang on a hanger to fin ish drying.
Pull clothes into shape i f required.
Environmental protecti on / Energy-saving tip s
– Before drying, spin the laundr y thoroughly in the washing machine athe higher the spin
speed, the shorter the drying time w ill be (consumes less energy), also spin easy- care
laundry.
– Use the maximum recommended capacity, but do not exceed it
aPage 7, “Programme overview”.
– Make sure the room is well ventilated during drying.
– Clean the fluff filter after e ach drying cycle aPage 4.
– Keep the air cooler clea n aPage 6 “Cleaning and care”.
– Keep the supply of c ool air unobstructed aDo not cove r or block the cooling grill.

– Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
– Do not use h arsh cleaning agents and s olvents.
– Remove detergent and clean ing agent residue immediately.
– During drying, water may collec t between the door and seal. This does not affect your
dryer's functions in any way.
Clean the protective fil ter 5 - 6 times a year
or if 4flashes after the fluff filter has been cl eaned.
Air cooler / Protective filter
When cleaning, only remove the prote ctive filter.
Clean the air coo ler behind the protectiv e filter once a yea r.
– Allow the dryer to cool.
– Residu al water may leak out, so place an abso rbent towel
underneath the maintenance door.
1. Unlock the maintenanc e door.
2. Open the maintenance door fully.
3. Turn both locking leve rs towards each anoth er.
4. Pull out the protective fi lter/air cooler.
Do not damage the protective filter or a ir cooler.
Clean with warm wat er only. Do not use a ny hard or sharp- edged
objects.
5. Clean the air cooler thoroughly.
Allow to drip dry.
6. Clean the seals.
7. Re-insert the protective filter/air cooler,
with the handle facing down.
8. Turn back both locking levers.
9. Close the maintenance door until the lock c licks into place.
Moisture senso rs
The dryer is fitted w ith stainless steel moisture se nsors. The sensors
measure the level of moisture in the laundry. After a long period of
operation, a fine layer of limescale may fo rm on the sensors.
1. Open the door and clean the m oisture sensors with a damp spong e
which has a rough surface.
Do not use steel wool or abrasive material s.
Cover for steam nozzle in the drum
After lengthy operat ion, limescale and fluff may accumulat e on
the cover of the steam nozzle. Clean regularly:
1. Open the door and remove the cover with a screw driver.
Clean the cover under running wate r.
2. Push and click the protec tive cap back in place.

Interrupt programme removing or adding laundry.
The drying cycle can be interrupte d for a brief period so that laund ry may be added or removed.
The selected programme must then be c ontinued until it is finished.
Hot steam may escape during the Stea m Drying / Steam Refresh programmes.
1. Open the door. The drying cycle is paused.
2. Remove or add laundry and close the door.
3. I f required, select a new p rogramme and additional functions.
4. Press the Start/Stop button. The remaining time is updated after a few minutes.
