Intended use
This vacuumcleaner is intended fordomestic useand not forcom-
mercial use. Only usethis vacuumcleaner inaccordancewith the
instructions inthis instructionmanual.
In order to prevent injuriesand damage, the vacuumcleaner
must not be used for:
Vacuum-cleaning persons oranimals
Vacuuming up:
- hazardous,sharp-edged,hot orglowing substances.
-damp orliquid substances.
- highly flammableorexplosivesubstances and gases.
-ash,soot fromtiled stoves and central heating systems.
-toner dust fromprinters and copiers.
Spare parts, accessories, dust bags
Ouroriginal spare parts,original (special) accessories and original
dust bags are designed to work with thefeatures and requirements of
ourvacuumcleaners. Wetherefore recommend that you only useour
original spare parts,original (special) accessories and original dust
bags. This will ensure that yourvacuumcleaner has a long servicelife
and that thequality of its cleaning performancewill remainconsi-
stently high throughout.
!Please note
Using unsuitableorinferior-quality spare parts,(special) acces-
sories and dust bags candamageyourvacuumcleaner. Damage
caused by theuseof such products is not covered by ourgua-
rantee.

Safety information
This vacuumcleaner complies with therecognised rules of techno-
logy and therelevant safety regulations.
Theappliancemay beused by children over theageof 8years and
by persons with reduced physical,sensory ormental capacity orby
persons with a lack of experienceorknowledgeif they are
supervised orhavebeen instructed onthesafeuseof the
applianceand thehaveunderstood thepotential dangers of using
theappliance.
Children must never play with theappliance.
Cleaning and user maintenancemust never becarried out by
children without supervision.
Plastic bags and films must bekept out of thereach of children
before disposal. => Risk of suffocation.
Proper use
Only connect and usethevacuumcleaner inaccordancewith
thespecifications ontherating plate.
Never vacuumwithout thedust bag ordust container, motor
protectionorexhaust filter.
=> This may damagethevacuumcleaner.
Always keep thevacuumcleaner away fromyourhead when
using nozzles and tubes.
=> This could causeinjury!
When vacuuming stairs,theappliancemust always bepositio-
ned below theuser.
Do not usethepower cord orthehoseto carry ortransport the
vacuumcleaner.
Forsafety reasons,if this appliance's mains power cablebeco-
mes damaged,it must bereplaced by themanufacturer, their
after-sales servicedepartment ora similarlyqualified person.

If using theapplianceforlonger than30 minutes,pull out the
power cord completely.
When disconnecting theappliancefromthemains,pull onthe
plug itself to removeit; do not pull onthepower cord.
Do not pull thepower cord over sharp edges orallow it to be-
come trapped.
When thecableis being automatically rewound,ensure that the
mains plug is not throwntowards persons,body parts,animals
orobjects.
=> Usethemains plug to guidethepower cord.
Pull out themains plug before carrying out any work onthe
vacuumcleaner.
Do not operatethevacuumcleaner if it is damaged. Unplug the
appliancefromthemains if a fault is detected.
Forsafety reasons,only authorised after-sales servicepersonnel
are permitted to carry out repairs and fit replacement parts to
thevacuumcleaner.
Protect thevacuumcleaner fromtheweather, moisture and
sources of heat.
Do not pourflammablesubstances orsubstances containing
alcohol onto thefilters (dust bag,motorprotectionfilter,
exhaust filter, etc.).
Thevacuumcleaner is not suitableforuseonconstructionsites.
=> Vacuuming up building rubblecould damagetheappliance.
When not inuse, switch off theapplianceand pull out themains
plug.
At theend of its life, theapplianceshould immediately beren-
dered unusable, then disposed of inanappropriatemanner.

!Please note
Themains socket must beprotected by at least a 16 amp cir-
cuit breaker.
If a circuit breaker is tripped when you switch onthevacuum
cleaner, this may bebecauseother electrical appliances which
havea high current draw are connected to thesame power cir-
cuit.
To prevent thecircuit breaker fromtripping,select thelowest
power setting before switching theapplianceon, and increase
thepower only onceit is running.

them up successively and careful-
ly to ensure that thevacuumchan-
nel of thefloornozzledoes not
become blocked.
If necessary,you should raisethe
nozzleinorder to better vacuum
up thedirt particles.

Caution
Floornozzles are subject to a
certainamount of wear, depen-
ding onthetypeof hard floors
you have(e.g. rough,rustic
tiles). You must there-fore check
theundersideof thefloornozzle
at regularintervals. Worn under-
sides of floornozzles may have
sharp edges that candamage
sensitivehard floors,such as
parquet orli-noleum. Themanu-
facturer does not accept any res-
ponsibility fordamagecaused by
worn floornozzles.
