T is instruction manual describes
various BSG7 models, w ic means
t at some of t e equipment features
and functions described may not be
available on your model.
You s ould only use original Bosc
accessories, w ic ave been
specially developed for your vacuum
cleaner to ac ieve t e best possible
vacuuming results.
Please keep t is instruction manual in
a safe place. If you pass t e vacuum
cleaner on to someone else, please
also pass on t is instruction manual.
Intended use
T is vacuum cleaner is intended for
domestic use only, not for commercial
use.
Only use t is vacuum cleaner in
accordance wit t e instructions in
t is instruction manual.
T e manufacturer will not accept any
responsibility for damage caused by
improper use or incorrect operation.
T erefore, you must note t e
following points.
The vacuum cleaner must only be
operated with:

Manufacturer's original
replacement parts, accessories or
special accessories
Safety information
T is vacuum cleaner complies wit
t e generally accepted standards of
tec nology and relevant safety
regulations.
Always observe t e information on
t e rating plate w en using t e
vacuum cleaner and connecting to
t e power supply.
Never use t e vacuum cleaner
wit out a dust bag fitted.
=> T is can damage t e appliance.
Only allow c ildren to use t e
vacuum cleaner under supervision.
T is appliance must not be used by
c ildren or persons wit limited
p ysical, sensory or mental abilities
or wit a lack of experience and
knowledge (including c ildren)
unless t ey ave been instructed in

responsible person.
The vacuum cleaner may not be used for:
cleaning persons or animals
vacuuming up:
– azardous, s arp-edged, ot or
red ot substances.
–damp or liquid substances
– ig ly flammable or explosive
substances and gases
–as , soot from tiled stoves and
central eating systems
–toner dust from printers and
copiers.
Keep suction away from your ead
w en using t e andle, nozzles or
pipe. => Risk of injury.
Stand t e appliance on a firm,
secure surface w en vacuuming.
W en vacuuming stairs, t e
appliance must always be lower
down t an you.
In t e following cases, stop using
t e appliance immediately and
contact t e after-sales
service:
–if t e mains connection cable is
damaged.
–if you ave accidentally vacuumed
up some liquid or liquid as
entered t e inside of t e
appliance
–if t e appliance as been
dropped.

Do not use t e power cord to carry
t e vacuum cleaner.
Fully extend t e power cord w en
using t e vacuum cleaner
continuously for several ours.
W en disconnecting t e appliance
from t e mains, pull on t e plug,
not t e power cord.
Do not pull t e power cord around
s arp corners or allow it to become
trapped.
Unplug t e power cord from t e
mains before carrying out any work
on t e vacuum cleaner or its
accessories.
Do not use t e vacuum cleaner if it
is damaged. Unplug t e power cord
from t e mains if a fault is
detected.
For safety reasons, only aut orised
after-sales service personnel are
permitted to carry out repairs and
fit replacement parts to t e vacuum
cleaner.
Protect t e vacuum cleaner from
outside weat er conditions,
moisture and sources of eat.
T e vacuum cleaner is not suitable
for use on building sites.
=> Vacuuming up building rubble
could damage t e appliance.
Switc off t e appliance w en it is
not in use.
At t e end of its life, t e appliance
s ould be rendered unusable, t en
disposed of in an appropriate
manner.
Plastic bags and films must be kept
out of t e reac of c ildren before
disposal (risk of suffocation).

Disposal information
Pac aging
T e packaging is designed to
protect t e vacuum cleaner from
being damaged during
transportation. It is made of
environmentally friendly materials
and can be recycled.
Dispose of packaging t at is no
longer required at an appropriate
recycling point.
Used vacuum cleaners
Used vacuum cleaners still contain
many valuable materials. T erefore,
please take your used vacuum
cleaner to your retailer or recycling
centre to be recycled. For current
disposal met ods, please enquire at
your retailer or your local council.
Disposal of filters and dust bags
Filters and dust bags are made
from environmentally friendly
materials.
As long as t ey do not contain
substances t at are not permitted
to be disposed of in t e ouse old
rubbis , you can dispose of t em
wit your normal ouse old
rubbis .
!Please note
T e mains socket must be
protected by at least a 16 amp fuse.
If a fuse s ould blow w en you
switc on t e appliance, t is may
be because ot er electrical
appliances w ic ave a ig
current draw are connected to t e
same power circuit.
To prevent t e fuse from blowing,
select t e lowest power setting
before switc ing t e appliance on,
and increase t e power only once it
is running.
