1.1 Symbology
Warnings
The following keywords are defined and can be used in this
document:
•NOTICE indicates a situation that could result in damage to
property or equipment.
•CAUTION indicates a situation that could result in minor to
medium injury.
•WARNING indicates a situation that could result in severe
injury or death.
•DANGER indicates a situation that will result in severe injury
or death.

1.2 Safety instructions
If you smell gas:
▶ Close the gas shut-off valve.
▶ Open the windows.
▶ Do not switch on any electrical switches.
▶ Extinguish possible flames.
▶ Contact from another location to the gas company and to an
authorized service Bosch.
If you smell gas flue:
▶ Switch the appliance off.
▶ Open doors and windows.
▶ Request a visit from an authorized service Bosch.
Assembly, modifications
▶ The appliance's assembly, as well as the installation
modifications can only be carried out by an authorized
service Bosch.
▶ The ducts that conduct the gas flue should not be modified.
▶ Do not close or reduce the openings for air circulation.
Maintenance
▶ The maintenance of the appliance should only be carried out
by an authorized service Bosch.
▶ The user of the appliance should ensure, within regular
intervals, technical interventions of control and
maintenance of the appliance.
▶ The appliance should be maintained annualy.
▶ Only original spare parts should be used.
Highly flammable and explosive materials
▶ Flammable materials should not be stored or used (paper,
solvents, paint, etc.) near the appliance.
Combustion air and ambient air
▶ To avoid corrosion, combustion air and ambient air should
be free from aggressive substances (e.g. halogenated
hydrocarbons which contain chlorine and fluorine
compounds).
Clarifications for the user
▶ Inform the user about the operation and handling of the
appliance.
▶ Inform the user that he/she should not perform
modifications or repairs on their own.
Damages caused by errors of use
Errors of use may cause material or personal damages.
▶ Ensure that children do not play with the appliance or use it
without the supervision of an adult.
▶ Ensure that the users are well instructed on how to operate
the appliance.

2.4 Description of the appliance
• Appliance to fix onto walls,
• Ignitionbyelectronicdevicecontrolledbytheopeningofthe
water valve,
• LPG/Natural gas burner.
• Safety devices:
– Ionization sensor against accidental extinction of the
burner flame,
– Control device of the combustion gases that switches the
appliance off if the conditions of gas flue exhaustion are
poor,
– Temperature limiter which avoids the overheating of the
combustion chamber,
– Relief and drain valve.
2.5 Rating plate
The rating plate is located on the cover of the appliance, on the
right side.
This plate has the indications on the performance of the
appliance, appliance's code, approval data and production
coded data (FD).
2.6 Special accessory (not contained in the
package)
• Conversion kit of natural gas for LPG and LPG for natural
gas. The conversion to another type of gas should only be
carried out by an authorized service BOSCH.

2.10 Operation description
Hot water
This heater is equipped with electronic automatic ignition, thus
its operation becomes simple.
For such it is enough to:
▶ Open the gas and water shut-off valves and check the
tightness of all the connections.
▶ Place the On/Off button (Fig. 4, [3]) in the operating
position.
After this procedure, when opening a hot water point, the
ignition will occur automatically.
Spark shut-down when the ignition time is exceeded
If it is not possible to obtain the flame within the safety interval
stipulated, a gas shut-off is carried out in the valve.
The presence of air in the gas supply tube (initial start-up of the
appliance or start-up after long periods of inactivity) may cause
a delay in the ignition.
In this case and if the ignition attempt is too long, the safety
devices block the operation of the appliance by interrupting the
gas flow.
Safety shut-down due to an excessively heated water
temperature
The ignition unit detects the temperature of the water through
the temperature limiter placed in the combustion chamber. In
the event that it detects excessive temperature, it causes a
safety shut-down.
Re-start after safety shut-down
To put the appliance back into operation after having caused a
safety shut-down:
▶ Close and re-open a hot water point.

▶ Insert in the batteries box two type D batteries (1.5V).

Precautions while using batteries
• Do not dispose of used batteries in the bin.
• Deliver them to the existing selective collection sites for its
recycling.
• Do not reuse used batteries.
• Use only the indicated type of batteries.
• Use alkaline batteries.
