a vocal phrase as
your bass line is
playing back.
Solo over your
recorded phrases.
Turn a single instrument
or voice into a wall of
synchronized sound with
the RC-50.
Unleash the ultimate solo.
With three stackable
phrase tracks, you can
build an intricate, layered
masterpiece live onstage.
For those awaiting the arrival of the ultimate looper, the wait is finally over.
Meet the most feature-laden Loop Station in BOSS history!
Powerful yet compact, the RC-20XL is the loop-creation
choice of professionals who like to t ravel light.
REALTIME PERFORMANCE
An XLR input, complete with
phantom power, is built into
the back panel. Just plug in
a mic and start singing.
Create on-the-fly remixes
and loops by feeding audio
tracks into the RC-50, and
layering and manipulating
the audio.
There are three simultaneous stereo
phrase channels on the RC-50, each
with a dedicated footswitch. Each
channel can contain dozens of
loops
/
phrases that you stack one by
one, so you can imagine how massive
your arrangements or solos can
become!
For bands that incorporate digital
audio tracks, sequences, drum
machines, and
/
or video elements
into their live gigs, sync is not a
luxury — it's a necessity. For
scenarios such as these, the RC-50
can be locked to an external MIDI
clock source.
To make recording as fun and
inspiring as possible, the RC-50
provides 379 play-along Rhythm
Guide Patterns using real sampled
drums in a wide variety of time
signatures. Why record to a stale
click when you can jam with rockin'
grooves instead?
The RC-20XL provides friendly “hands-free”
pedal operation: control Record, Play, and
Overdub functions via foot, and keep your
hands free to play your instrument. Enjoy 16
minutes of recording time. Correct mistakes
with the Undo function.
Create a multi-layered loop live onstage, then
bring it to an artistic conclusion with the three
Stop options. When you hit the pedal, you can
either immediately stop the playback, let the
phrase play until the end, or fade it out.
The RC-50 has plenty of other noteworthy features on offer, for example: Phrases
can be played forward or backward. Phrases can be retriggered in “free time” or on
a grid. Errors can be corrected on the fly with the Undo
/
Redo switch.
The RC-50's rear panel is well
stocked with connectors, offering
stereo ins and outs, XLR input with
48V phantom power, mini-jack aux
in, headphone out, USB, MIDI I
/
O,
and inputs for accommodating an
optional Expression pedal and
footswitches.
