Bostik TG4 Glue Gun
Description
The Bostik TG 4 Hot Melt Glue Gun is an electrically operated
applicator designed to dispense hot melt glue to bond most materials
quickly and efficiently. If you use tapes, fasteners, staples or liquid
adhesives, the Bostik TG-4 Glue Gun will probably do it better, faster
and neater with just the press of a trigger.
Features
Ergonomic design (comfortable, reliable, one hand operation)
Advanced heating element technology (reduces heat up time
and saves energy when not in use for long periods –power goes
into ‘rest time’.)
Delivers over 1.5kg of hot melt per hour continuously (high
production output).
Up to date all electric solid state design (more accurate and
reliable than thermostats).
Tough impact resistant plastic housing (will withstand
constant plant and warehouse use).
Light weight compact design (easy one hand operation. Can
be used in any position without molten glue falling out).
Insulated casing (operator safety is assured).
Cradle/stand supplied (for resting hot gun safely in an upright
position when not in use).
May be used all day (turn off at end of working day only)
Recommended Uses
The TG-4 has given secure, long lasting and cost effective bonding in
many Industrial applications now for over on twenty years.
The Packaging, Product Assembly, Furniture and other allied
Industries have all benefited from the TG-4’s easy and efficient hot
melt bonding operation. New applications and industries are being
found every year with this product.

Application Instructions
Place TG4 gun onto orange stand supplied. Always use stand. Never lie gun as down on side when in use or whilst
cooling down as this may cause gun failure.
Insert Bostik Glue Stick gently through channel at back of gun.
Never use excessive force as the glue stick will clog the channel. Plug cord into an electrical outlet and wait 5 minutes
to heat up the glue. Ensure glue is hot or glue will not extrude through the gun.
Apply adhesive by gentle continuous pressure and to the more difficult surface to bond (usually smooth surfaces are
more difficult to adhere than rough, porous surfaces).
Release trigger to stop flow of glue.
Glue does not need to be spread. Do not touch molten adhesive, as temperatures around 200°C will cause serious
burns.
Join surfaces as quickly as possible for optimum bond strength. To bond foam products (polystyrene foam, etc.) to
another surface, apply adhesive in an “s” pattern to the surface to which the foam will be bonded, rather than directly to
the foam.
To bond fabrics, use a smaller “S” pattern for additional strength.
Small drops of glue can be easily removed when cold.
Residual glue can be remelted and removed from most bonded surfaces with a warm knife.
When you have finished using the gun, switch off and unplug it. Allow the glue stick to remain in the gun – do not
remove stick from rear of gun at any time.

Hot Melt Glue Sticks
Presently, there are two grades of Bostik Glue Sticks available for use with the TG-4
1kg, 5kg, and 15kg packs of yellow Bostik 6303 glue sticks. These are 380mm (15”) long and are especially suitable
for use with wood (furniture making), carton sealing (packaging) and many other similar applications.
5kg packs of clear, flexible 6330 sticks- 180mm (7”) long and used extensively in the craft and floristry trades.
PLEASE NOTE
The Bostik TG4 Hot Melt Glue Gun is designed to use 12mm diameter glue sticks, manufactured by Bostik. Usage
of alternative maker glue sticks will void the warranty.
Bostik TG-4 and associated glue sticks will bond virtually any combination or types of material from light weight fabrics and
foam to more solid materials like wood, steel and tiles. Will also bond plastics including polypropylene and polyethylene
type. For product assistance, contact the Bostik Branch in your state or your authorized Bostik Distributor.
Limitations

may damage some surfaces.
Do not leave gun unattended and unplug cord when not in use.
Do not use the gun in damp or wet conditions or expose it to rain.
Never put any object in the gun other than the glue sticks recommended.
